i tried usin my ipod touch to tranfer songs from my first itunes library on one computer to my new one on my labtop and the message songs are not authoried for this the computer comes up and i authoried it but the message keeps coming up

Did you authorise the computer with the exact same account that you used to purchase the music with?

On the computer you should be able to go to the network properites. Go to the TCP part and unchec the line that says obtaind DNS automatically and check the one that says use the following. Add the 8.8.8.8 and Google other 8.8.4.4.

You should restore the the iPod to totally erase the iPod and add your own media to the iPod.
Connect the iPod to your computer and restore to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.

Hey VPKR, Nice of you to try, but not really. Apple will do nothing without a count order and it's not likely you are doing to get one. The only way you can find out information that may tell you who the owner is, would require the password-- it's a "Catch 22." Turn the iPod over to the police, give then all the information you have about the person that sold it to you, and go from there. If bought online, through a web site like eBay, etc. contact the site about a possible fraudulent sale, you may some recourse to either get your money back and the web site can block this person from trying this again. Follow the instructions the web site gives you about what to do with the iPod. They may tell you send back to them or give it to the police. If you used a check or credit card, call your bank or card company and put out a stop payment, then turn this iPod over to the police. Hope this helps. Thanks for being an honest person. Cheers.

Hi I bought a used Ipod Touch (4th). It was wiped clean when I got it except it had the prev. owners apple Id still on it when we went to download an app.so I went in sign it out. then created a new acct with it under my apple Id. I have an Iphone 4 (the ipod is for my Daughter).I can download apps, Music etc. But when I do, I get an email from apple saying a device has downloaded a song etc. that is not recognized with my acct.I also when I plug it in to my laptop it does nothing, does not show up on my device list, no pop up to add it,no DING nothing.I take and plug in my Iphone(using the same cord) and Ding there it is..Anyone know how to add this new one to my act so I can use itunes on my pc. and not get the emails? take it to apple store and schedule genius bar appointment. your iPod is still under warrenty because that version is not even a year old. They should replace it. Good Luck!

I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.

Im having huge issues after updating to 12.1 on Win 8.1 x64. Choppy playback and so on.
Try this since it helps in most situtation :
Remove itunes but keep library files. Then download it again and install it.
Also most likely you will have to restore ipod touch. I restored my iPhone 5 to remove waiting for changes to apply and Error 54.
my iPad air still isnt restored (cant do it now) and it sometimes does same like iPhone waiting for changes to apply. And gives error 54 but sync DOES GET COMPLETED.
Also may sound stupid but try to use USB 2.0 Ports. Not 3.0. I have troubles when using 3.0

We bought a used Ipod touch for my son. I was able to sync it to my iTunes. We are not able to download any apps. It says that we don't have the most current software. When I connect the Ipod to my PC an iTunes - I click on check for updates and it says that there are none.
