trying to unblock my iphone 4s, because i moved to another country and need to use another carrier. followed all the steps to restore but at the end i received an error no. 9 and can not finish the restoring. i asked my older carrier for the unblock permission, it should not be a problem. can someone help me?

Time machine takes very long time and does not finish the backup

Time machine is unable to backup my 2014 Mackbook Air 128 GB Drive anymore.
I have tried numerously to initiate a backup but it could only backup a very small volume, less than 1KB, then stall for hours without any progress.
I tries to repair my volume, using the Disk Utility, but it still does not backup, except for the 1K progress.
I have noticed that "Spot Light" indexing is also taking forever. It has been indexing for days without any pogress.
What is going on.
What should I do to fix it.
My latest successful backup was on Jul 25.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes.) You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard."
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Note the timestamp of the last "Starting" message that corresponds to the beginning of an an abnormal backup. Now
CLEAR THE WORD "Starting" FROM THE TEXT FIELD
so that all messages are showing, and scroll back in the log to the time you noted. Select the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ If all you see are messages that contain the word "Starting," you didn't clear the text field.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.

I can not use the Acrobat DC Cloud. How do I get an Acrobat PDF Reader that does not use the Cloud?
The subject pretty much says it all.
I can not save sensitive corporate files on your Cloud.
Even for non-sensitive PDFs, I do not always have access to the cloud when I need to view or work with a PDF.
I need a non-cloud version of Acrobat Reader.
When Reader DC installed onto my system it must have blown away Reader XI.
After I uninstalled Reader DC, now I can't open/read PDFs anymore.
Also, I can't find a copy of Adobe Acrobat to install that isn't cloud dependent.
This is a problem for me.
Besides all that, NOW I get error messages every time I try to re-install Reader DC.

So, today at work, I can no longer open PDFs.

My Ipad is not responding. It has the small apple in the middle of the screen with the little "thinking" flower symbol surrounding it, and does not respond to restoring. We received an error message when trying to restore from itunes.

I could not open NY Times articles today because Firefox would not let me. I reported this twice. I received a window telling me to update Firefox ~~ and I'm trying to do this. As I said, Firefox download4.0.dmg paused and will not finish the download. It's been over 10 minutes and I don't know how to proceed.
You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden, so you need to hide the Menu bar to get the new appearance.<br />
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />
You can place the Tab Bar on top.

I am trying to upgrade or rather downgrade from ipadvservices (inadvertently upgraded to) to ipservices on a stack of Cat-3750s, but I get the following error message:

I noticed the image which was running on the switch was correct without the ".bin" at the end:

I have a Curve 8300. With OS v4.5.0.81. And I am on a BB Social network plan through my cell providor "Fido".
I mainly use it for Facebook & Twitter and have no problems using either app. However I was prompted for an update for my twitter recently but wasn't near a wifi spot to update. Just decided to update today at home where I do have wifi. However when I go to do the update, it gives me the following error:
"Sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Twitter for BlackBerry Smartphones"
I have scoured for answers but haven't had much luck. I tried checking for OS updates. I apparently have the most current one that my phone will support. I uninstalled twitter and then tried to reinstall it via the twitter Icon on my phone. Got the same error. Tried reinstalling it through app world, it installed just fine. However it installed the version that I had previously had. So I went to twitter's settings and checked for updates. It prompted for one as I expected it would. And when I tried to get the update. It gave me that error again. I can use twitter as it is, but I don't see why my phone shouldn't be able to get all the updates for various apps. Is it a software compatability issue? Is it a hardware compatability issue? Is there anything I can do to get the update or do I just have a phone that won't take some app updates?Hi and welcome to the forums!
The 8300 is not listed in the device upgrade table for Blackberry device OS v5.0. The newer versions of apps like Twitter and Facebook require device OS v5.0 to run correctly. Might be time to consider a new device!

I originally posted because I thought either I was doing something stupid, or that there was some little known setting or control that might sort things out.
When I called support, they tried 'little known setting or control' route, but it turned out that the ipad was definitely faulty and they have offered a replacement.
If I can help others having the same issue, I would say call support first before returning as it is possible to reset it if it is a software problem, rather than a fault with the hardware. -

I have 2 sets of playlists in the sidebar of itunes. I have recently upgraded to 10.6.1.7 but this condition remains the same

How do I get rid of the "false" list?I think the greyed out playlists must be listed from your device which is set up to mirror your library. Because the device is synced you can't edit content directly on the device. From the top of the left-hand column do you have?
Library > Music, Movies...
Store > iTunes Store, iTunes Match...
Devices > <Your Device> > Music, Movies, and all the other "dummy" lists...
Genius > Genius, Genius Mixes...
Playlists > iTunes DJ, and then all your playlist folders and playlists...
If so then that is perfectly normal when your device is connected, either directly or over wi-fi and you have the lists expanded. Simply click the small triangle to the left of the device name to hide all the playlists.

Try downloading the trial. It ought to detect that you have a 64-bit system.
You aren't using Vista, are you? PSE 13 requires at least win 7 and I think a few folks with vista have gotten a similar error message on trying to install it. -

Just in case the component being referenced is not part of iTunes but is rather part of one of the other related programs, it might be worth trying a complete uninstall/reinstall of iTunes and related componentry, as per the following troubleshooting document:
