Trying to update ios8.01 and phone verification say am not connected to Internet

trying to update ios8.01.01 and phone keep saying verification failed because not connected to Internet which is connected

Apple pulled ios 8.0.1 due to some serious bugs mostly affecting 6 and 6plus users. even if you are on another device you will not be able to update until the new update hopefully one that fixes those issue is released. you can always downgrade to ios8 via itunes. make sure you always back up your phone prior to any restores/updates just so that you know you will have your content either on icloud or computer.
