Trying to update iphone 3G network problem continues
Over the last few nights I have tried to update to 2.0.2 for my 3G but constantly getting network time-out saying (Stopped err= -3259), I have reset and checked everything but still baffled, if anyone can help it will be much appreciated, I downloaded the firmware fro server OK, but when used shift restore firmware failed and error killing my Iphone luckily still had 2.0.1 to get it back to life.
Temporarily disable ALL of your antivirus/antispyware software and try again.

I'm trying to update my Photoshop CS5, but continue to receive the same problem every time. The application manager update dialogue box simply states "some updates failed to install." There's no specific error code, but a link to contact support for further assistance. It doesn't take me to customer support, but does take me to a screen which states. "Error "This serial number is not for a qualifying product." I've checked my account and the product serial number is associated with my account., so I don't see any problem. I have not been able to find a resolution to this problem, so I hope that someone can point me in the right direction. Thank you!

When registering the phone, you should be able to choose later or basically not now at the upper right hand side. Most of what I think it will at least have you do is sign into your Apple ID but thats it.

I tried updating iphone 6 to 8.1.3 But the phone went dead. I have tried using restore options - both update and erase, but the process stops when it tries to update Iphone firmware.
Put your phone in DFU mode,
Hold the Power Button (3 secs)
Continue holding the power button and also hold the home button (15 secs)
Release the power button while continuing to hold the home button (10 secs)
Your device should prompt with the "Connect to iTunes Screen"

Received msg that could not back up iphone because it has not been set up yet.I have iOS 8.02 on my iPhone 5S and Itunes 11.4.0.18 on a Windows 7 computer. iTunes is not syncing newly added music CD's. It's set to automatically import CDs when they're loaded using the AAC encoder and error correction. After they're importedm the songs and albums show up in the iTunes library, but they don't sync with my iPhone.
I've tried the following: Went to the Genius Bar at the Apple store for advice, which was useless (unusual); deleted & reinstalled iTunes; switched from syncing all music to syncing manually (and checked every song, album & genre; deleted the newly-added CDs that didn't sync and re-loaded them.
Is this an iOS 8 problem? Am I encoding incorrectly? If not AAC encoder, then what? -

I am trying to update iphone 4 from iSO 5.1.1 to iSO 6.0.1. The phone says it needs a software update, but when it's almost finished downloading it says Update failed. I am connected to Wi-Fi. Any suggestions?
Are you updating over the air or using iTunes on your computer? If you're doing it over the air, use iTunes instead. It's a little more reliable as far as the download goes.
If you're doing it via iTunes, disable your antivirus and firewall software. It can interfere with the update. -
"iTunes could not backup the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone."
Anybody else experienced this when trying to update iPhone software to 5.1.1???
How have you resolved this issue.

If you did the update through iTunes, try going into the Settings App on your iPhone and doing the Software Update in there. The same thing happened to me, and the wireless update worked.

trying to update iPhone operating system on our Mac. I think iPhone is on 4.2 or so. Verizon store mgr tried and said he could not do it on his limited computer. He said to update using iTunes at home. I keep getting an error msg box. The update cannot be completed. At beginning of process, we get a box that instructs us to transfer iTunes purchases to computer before doing the update. Not sure how to transfer. Any guidance?

Tried to update iPhone 5 to latest OS. When I looked at the phone a while later, the screen was dark except for the iTunes icon in the middle of the screen and another icon showing the charger cable and an arrow point to the iTunes icon. Now I'm bricked out of the phone. When I hold down the power button after the screen goes completely dark, the Apple logo appears, then the iTunes icon I described.
