Trying to update ipod to new ios, need to change location of backup file in iTunes, how can i do this?

My HDD is partitioned c for OS and d for program files.  I'm trying to update my ipod touch to the new ios but when it begins to back up my ipod, it attempts to put the back up on my c drive and then says not enough space.  my itunes is stored on my d drive.  how can i get itunes to save the backup to my d drive instead of c?

I forgot to add that I'm in Afghanistan and have no way of calling for support or going to a friends house to get help.
