when I add the detail of my old and new password and then save, it still states I have not saved the information and is not updating my password

Many months llater, not receiving emails is still a problem. If one does receive the email, then the given page won't recognize the user's birthdate!!

I recently updated my Apple ID password and then changed it to the updated password on my phone and iPad. Now I only see contacts on the specific device where I created them. On my other devices, the newly created contact simply shows up as a phone number. I've tried hard reseting the devices and ensured everything is doing "iCloud sharing" of contacts. If you cannot remember your security questions for your Apple ID, I would recommend these steps outlined in the article named:

What should I do if I don't remember the answers to my Apple ID security questions?
Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.
If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID passwordsign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password
contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.
Note: If you have forgotten your password and answer your security questions incorrectly too many times in a row, you will be unable to try to answer your security questions for a period of time. During that time you will not be able to reset your password and will not have access to your account.

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

i am trying to update my apple tv, but it always returns an error that says it can't be done right now, try again later.
I had to change my DNS on my iphone and ipad, and those then upgraded fine, just not apple tv.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

My iPhoto on mac is not opening and its saying please upgrade your os to 10.7.2 .... but my os is latest ..... i even tries software update from apple menu .... please help

i upgraded my os to the latest lion os on 39th NOV . But unfortunately i had to reinstall the os back ( A big story ) .
so i reinstalled and brought it back to 10.7.1
Now when i try to open iphoto it says i need os > 10.7.2
every other ilife apps are opening .
please help
i even tried software update from apple menu but it says my os is up to date

Your password was sent to your emergency email address. Perhaps you have an email you never use? I use the free email from my cable TV account as my emergency email.
Your Apple account and cloud account are separate. You could even have completely different user and password. Most of us use the same user ID and password, but they are not the same thing, don't mix them up.
If you can't retrieve emergency email, you will have to call apple support.

Someone keeps trying to reset my Apple ID password. I get dozens of emails on a daily basis. It's been going on for a few months now. Funny part is - i havent used my personal email as my apple id; i have a different one I use. Anything I can do?

Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap your Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign back in. The App Store will automatically change to the store from which your account is authorized to make purchases.

Trying to reset my apple account password

Hi,
I'm trying to reset my password for my other my apple ID. I have tried this by accessing it through this websitehttps://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid. It says it has sent me an email but I did not receive any emails.I've been doing this for a while now, and even have waited from about 4 weeks now but still no emails.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I have asked for your email address to be edited out. Posting your address in an open thread is a sure way to be bombarded by unwanted email, remember it will be here long after you have resolved your problem, for automated detection software to find.
If you want people to contact you, enable others to see your email address in your profile.
Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.
If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.
