Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them whether you are using the Apple ID for new purchases or not. All future updates will require the password for this original Apple ID. This can't be changed. The only way to stop this would be to delete these apps from your phone and iTunes library and repurchase them using your current ID.

I haven;t been using my ipad lately so I have about ten updates. I tried to udate them but my other apple id showed up. I never used this id with my ipad only on an old ipod. I went to my setting and looged out and logged back in woth my current apple id but the same thing happened. SO I just gave in and tried to update with my old password. The reason you are being prompted for your other Apple ID is because the apps that need to be updated were downloaded with that Apple ID.

1-If the apps you just downloaded before are free, you can delete them and install again (that will update).
2-Some people use outlook now, so if you are refering to "hotmail" you can still using it. Just remember your password you had in that time, or renew it here https://iforgot.apple.com/iForgot/iForgot.html and go to outlook.com, that will show a folder in the sidebar called "POP" that's your previous e-mail.

While syncing it says that it can't read/write to the iPod. I've reset to factory settings and it still won't work.

Every time I connect it to sync it says it's been sync'd with another library and do I want to erase and sync w/ the current itune library.....it has never been sync'd with another itunes library....just this one on my mac. There are a number of threads about it - it looks like Apple recently updated their address validation. Some people have recorded success by :
    ensuring that their iTunes account address is exactly the same as appears on their credit card bill
    putting something in the second line of the address (including just copying the first line)

We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather .

Take the SIM out and reseat it. Was your phone jailbroken or unooficially unlocked? If so then when you upgraded the phone locked again to the original carrier. If that is the case you need a SIM from that carrier to use the phone or you could contact that carrier and have them unlock it for you

If you're positive the information is correct, ask the issuing bank why the transaction is being rejected.
You're getting this error because the store can not authorize the card with your bank.
