Trying to update software on imac but telling me i need to quit safari
Having isues with using the internet. Get the spinning pinwheel a lot. tries updating software , cleared cache and reset safari but when I try to update it tells me that safari is still running but I can't quit it
If you're getting a spinning cursor, then something is going on to cause that. Unless you do something to solve the problem, it will continue and get worse. So let's focus on fixing the problem.
What did you do just before this problem started, and when was that? Did you update any software, install new software, etc.? Be very specific. Which iMac model do you have, how much RAM, what type and speed is the processor?
What have you done so far, if anything, to resolve this issue?

If it wasn't Apple who replaced the battery, then you've voided your warranty. Bring it back to whomever replaced the battery and tell them they probably broke your phone.

If your 4th gen says you need an updated iTunes then it's talking about the iTunes on your comptuer. For iOS7 you need at least iTunes 11 -

Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file. Try moving the current .ipsw file (see Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations), or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw.

First what version of Lion are you running and have you downloaded any Combo updates since you installed it.
Second; I see you only have 10.6.2 in your profile. You might like to update it.
I don't have Lion myself but I'm guessing you don't have the very latest version. You can check what should be available through the opening Apple support page > downloads. -

You are as far as you can be with the original iPad; only iPad 2 and greater will update to 7+

What specifically is your problem with FaceTime? Do you have a wifi/internet connection?

I Tried for three days to download iOS 6 and kept getting error 1403. I finally went to the apple store and they couldn't figure it out either.
I finally got it to download and all I did different from the other 100 times was I went into settings and on the Bluetooth setting I put NO. Not sure if that's what did it but that was the only thing different that I did. -
