Trying to update vault - keeps asking me to rebuild library

Greetings
I've been trying to update my vault, but Aperture has prompted me to rebuild my library and hasn't let me update my vault.
I've now tried updating my vault about three times and each time, it asks me to rebuild my library. Am I doing something wrong? What do I need to do to resolve this?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. I would recommend trying to rebuild your library without going through the vault update prompt. You can do that by following these instructions:

It sounds like the apps were purchased using your dads account, so they will have to be updated using that account.

That's because the Mac, OS X and the iLife apps that came preinstalled on the Mac all belong to the previous owner. The previous owner needs to call Apple care and have their Apple ID disassociated from the Mac. Then the hard drive needs to be totally erased and OS X and the iLife apps reinstalled using OS X Recovery.

Iphone won't download from itunes (purchases or updates) and keeps asking for password

My new Iphone 6 won't download from itunes, whether it is a new purchase, previous purchase or update. Itunes keeps asking for password. Icloud seems to be working, find my phone works, so what do I do? I've signed out and back in to the app store. Restarted my phone. Ugh!!

Press on the app until is says "Paused"
Then, click it again. It will download. Just wait, then delete it.

Updating iphone keeps asking to back up and wont progress

PLEASE HELP !!!!!!! The Boss unfortunatly hadnt updated his iphone4 from version 4.3.3 we decided to update to current version now it all seems to have gone OK but now keeps asking to set up phone and to restore from icloud Backup or Restore from iTunes Backup we have restored several times and just wont progress and let us use the phone Im desperate

A backup was created before the update was attempted, correct?
If not, might be time to start circulating the resume.

Using external HD. Cannot update vault. Asks to check permissions. Disk utility says OK

I am away using Aperturre on new MacAir and external HD as back up for recent photos and to house my vault. When I try to update vault, I have a permissions problem. I used Disk Util to repair MacAir and external HD and it says each is OK. Checked repair permissions from warning window that notified me I had a permissions problem. selected ext HD icon and "Get Info" and everything looks right. Next step to update my vauil?

On the Get Info windoe for the external drive at the bottom is a checkbox Ignore ownership on this volume.
If it is not checked check it and try again.
Post back if you stil have problems.

After an update firefox keeps asking me to reboot when this is done and i go to launch it it keeps saying to reboot and never launching

Then when I reboot it then asks to reboot again and again and never launching. I have reinstalled fire fox but it keeps asking the me to rboot again.

It works.
Deleting the two files mentioned by 2mymisc above does work.

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with Update and Restore errors. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice for the issue you are experiencing. Has the device been backed up via iCloud or a computer at any point?

Check for hardware issues
Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
These errors mean that your device or computer may have a hardware issue that's preventing the update or restore from completing.
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

Upon updating desktop keeps asking to restart and when I do, I get the same thing....over and over. What gives?

I tried to update Firefox. Everything went well until restarting computer. Result was nothing....got the same as I had before. Each time I tried to open Firefox, I got message to restart computer to complete installation of update. This goes on over and over. I have tried to uninstall Firefox using Control Panel and I get same results.....a message to restart the computer and this repeats itself also.

You can try to boot the computer in Safe mode (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that allows to remove the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) if you can't uninstall Firefox or remove/rename that folder in regular mode.

Aperture locks up when trying to update Vaults.

When I try to update vault I get the spinning beach ball and Aperture becomes unresponsive. I have to use force quit to exit the application.

I'm having the very same problem. This is bad news. I upgraded to Mavericks last week, and then had to update Aperture. Now it says my 400+GB library has to update, and then at the end it won't complete. I've done this with a three months older copy of the library.
Apple, you need to figure this out--I'm a working professional and now I don't have access to 4-5 years worth of work--this is serious. My library appears to be corrupted.

HT4623 I clicked on "update all" on my app , however my TRX Force app has yet to update and keeps asking me to retry. Yes, I am connected to WIFI and yes, I am updated to the latest version of itunes. anything else I may be missing?

(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

When trying to update, I keep getting message that firefox is trying to contact update server. It never updates. I am the only administrator of the computer. I log in with a password.

Firefox won't update. Keeps asking me to reboot.

I updated to firefox 5 and since then when I click on the icon it tells me I need to reboot my computer. I have rebooted several times and I still keep getting the message that I need to reboot my computer to finish updating firefox.

I too am having a similar problem. I am trying to install Windows in a newly created Boot Camp partition. I have Windows 7 but Boot Camp Assistant only mentions XP and Vista. I put in my installation disk of Windows 7 but it refuses to install it. My OS is fully up to date.
