Trying to upgrade lightroom - but license fails
Need to upgrade lightroom 4.3 to be able to process "raw" files from a new Canon Camera that just came available on lightroom 5.7 - used the upgrade in my version and downloaded the new one but my license number will not activate it. Do I have to purchase this program again in order to get this simple upgrade for my raw files? If so, does Adobe not offer some kind of discount?? Any advice out there will help.
you can update lr 4.3 ( http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/) for free, but major version upgrades are not free.
you can purchase lr 5 (contact adobe support, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html) and update to lr 5.7 Lightroom 5.7 now available.

Thanks.What kind of 10.5 disk did you use? If it was a grey system disk from a newer Intel-based Mac, that disk has no 10.5 code that a G4 processor can read and could leave you with what you describe.
I tried booting ........... from the usb 2.0 disk that's attached via a PCI card.
In spite of what Apple says (here), it's hard to find a G-series Mac that likes to boot from a USB device. Do you have one with FireWire connectivity? And some system software may have to load before the USB bus wakes up. You can try it on oneof the logic board 1.1 ports--has a better chance of getting a boot from there than a PCI card. But don't be surprised if it still doesn't boot.
The 10.5 installer requires a minimum 867 mHz processor and may look at something stored in ROM on the computer rather than actually polling the new processor before deciding if it can install. Although you have an upgraded processor, the installer may be reading the original specs off the Machine type code or other parameter that was not affected by the upgrade. -

Went to update the ipod touch and it wiped out everything , Itunes keeps trying to restore it but fails everytime giving me an error that it cannot see my ipod yet it sees it and tries to restore it everytime i connect the ipod to the pc , the help file suggested i reinstall the latest version of I tunes so i did i tried using different ports on 2 computers and also bought a new connection cable but still won't restore can anyone help?

Tried to upgrade tracks but got "in Process" message
I tried to upgrade my list of upgradeable songs to the DRM free format. When I clicked "buy", I got the standard "do you want to purchase" message but then nothing happened. I signed out and then back in again, and now instead of a list of upgradeable songs, it tells me my upgrade is "in process" and to wait for an e-mail telling me when it is ready.
What the heck is that????
Anyone else have this happen?I was waiting for the phantom "e-mail" for several hours. Eventually the itunes store scrapped that "in process" message and gave me my list again. 22 songs in all. This time when I hit the "buy" button it actually started the download, but it has been quite a while and there are still 8 songs that are stalled by the slow Apple Store servers. I'm sure the servers are overwhelmed and that is why the download speed is eratic. I'm on an 8 Mbps High Speed connection so it certainly isn't me that is slow.

My version 3.6.24 recognizes my Identity Safe from Norton Internet Security 2011. I tried your upgrade before and had to go back to my original version because it didn't provide for access to Identity Safe.

App Builder won't install - have tried all recommended fixes but still fails
Hi all,
I have read the similar issues others have had installing app builder and tried the suggested fixes, but am still having trouble installing.
I have downloaded the latest version of App Builder (32.4 I believe), and am running Mac OS X 10.7.5. When I try to install i get the error "Sorry, an error has occurred. The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer from the application author."
Just out of interest, I tried installing the same file on another Mac (running OS X 10.10.2) and installed without issue. So the installer file would appear to be fine.
According to the system requirements, my 10.7.5 system should support the install, so I am not sure what else to try.

I am running Pages 4.1 and I can not get the upgrade to 4.2
If you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update (which has been rolled into the Mac App Store in Mountation Lion) says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

And have you run the iPhoto Library Upgrader after you installed it? First run it, to prepare your iPhotLibrary for upgrading, and then launch iPhoto again to complete the upgrade of your library.

Upgrade to Windows 10 failed with error 80070714. Please Help!!!
Hi. I hope someone out there can help me!! I have tried numerous times to upgrade my HP Envy 15-K204NA from Windows 8.1 64-bit to Windows 10 Home, but it continues to fail with error code 80070714. I am using Bullguard Premium Protection and have Acronis True Image installed. I have disabled SQL services as suggested by other posts on the internet, but nothing seems to work. When I run the upgrade from a DVD burned from the ISO, it gets to 37% and then fails. Hope you can help. (fingers crossed!!) My daughter locked her ipod. I tried to reset it, but it failed. The Screen is black and will not turn on.
First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.
3: If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the Steps in this article to force the device into Recovery Mode.
