Trying to upgrade my new PC
I just got a new computer a couple weeks ago and I want to change the graphics card on my computer
I'm using a HP p2-1343w Desktop PC.
Here's the graphics card I want, but I'm not sure if it will fit or if it will even work with my motherboard:

The reason I want the card is so I can actually play games on my computer without lag.
If the graphics card doesn't work with my PC then could you suggest a good gaming card that will work with it?

DravenV, welcome to the forum.
I don't believe that you can upgrade the video card. The power supply unit (PSU) for the computer is an external 65W model. HP has their video cards made to work with other OEM components. A retail video card will not work with this PSU because they require much more wattage. If you look at the specs of the card in the link that you provided it shows "power wattage 125W". I don't believe that you can add an internal PSU.

I tried to upgrade the new version for i pad mini but when downloading it just went off and told me to connect it to i tunes, so i did and now it says i need to restore it. Does that mean I will lose everything in my i pad?
In other words, the upgrade process did not go altogether well and the device has lost all its contents. When you plug it in, they will be restored from the backup.

i have not used my ipod for a while, and today i wanted to update it to newer os, i know clicking on "check for update" it is supposed to resolve the issue, but when i do that it just says "2.2.1 is the newest version available". I did wipe out my ipod numerous times trying to upgrade. I did restore backups etc...
It is an ipod touch second gen with wifi etc... How do i do that manually?? please help.Then are you certain that you have a 2nd generation Touch? (the one with the volume button on the side) If you actually have a 1st gen Touch then iTunes will tell you that 2.2.1 is the latest version, but there is a legitimate way to get 3.1.3 from Apple, see this thread:

Tried to upgrade to new itunes and now can't load itunes or quicktime
HELP! i tried to upgrade my itunes. This upgrade was totally successful. I then had another problem on my computer so i tried to restore my computer to an earlier timepoint. Since I have done this, I can't load itunes or quicktime. I have tried to uninstall the programs and reinstall them but it still doesn't work. I get an error message on quicktime:
failed to initialize- error-2095
The itunes error message reads :
iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Help- I am going insane with this!!!I followed a link and somehow ended up at this post from Mike Hogan3 and combined it with something else I came across. This is what worked for me!
1)Follow his suggestions for removing quicktime and itunes (at the end of this message).
2)Then reinstall iTunes from:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
3) Then install QuickTime Standalone Installer from this page (located in the middle right of the page- don't install the one with iTunes!) http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Hope this works! It did for me!

This might not be exactly the same problem but lots of people (myself included) had problems after installing iTunes 6.0. I did the following and it finally installed correctly.
I went to

and downloaded the Cleanup utility near the bottom of that page. When it installs on your machine it will scan your computer for every installer every ran on you're machine. Only select iTunes and Qtime and delete those 2 installers. Then I went to add/remove programs and removed iTunes and Qtime. Prior to this Qtime would not unistall but now it did. Funny thing was there was no prompting by windows once I hit "remove/repair" in the "add/remove programs" function.
Then rerun the iTunes 6.0.1 update. That had been failing to install Qtime prior to this but now it installed and I see all my music again and iTunes works. Let me know if this does the trick, I hope so. -
Audigy 2 ZS ; Trying to upgrade to new beta drive
I've been a fan of the Doom series for a long time, so its only natural I buy the expansion, and when something such as these new beta drivers come along, I need it, badly.
I tried installing them, and I get an error saying my Audigy isnt found. My computer is an upgraded HP Pavilion a550e, only updgrades on it are a Nvidia 6800GT and an Antec 430 watt PSU. I've tried the drivers from HP, and they work perfectly fine, but their not the ones I need. Strange that the HP drivers work but the manufacturers drivers don't.
I've tried uninstalling the drivers, nothing. Reformatting, nothing. Moving the soundcard to a different slot, still nothing. I've read other posts on these forums about this problem, but I could not understand any of the possible answers on here at all, I got as far as extracting the .exe, then I hit a wall.
So, if someone could please throw me a bone here, it would be greatly appreciated.

That is because you haven't bought the card from the Creative. You have OEM card (from HP) and OEM (HP) is the one who should provide you with original (as well as updated) drivers. You should bug them, not Creative. -
Tried to upgrade to new itunes (version 8.0?) but says error 2318
downloaded new version of itunes last night. but today it wouldnt open.. it said the feature i was looking for was in another network..etc so i did windows clean up thing, deleted itunes and quicktime and then installed quicktime separately and then tried to do itunes but it said 'this installer has encountered and unexpected error installing this package.this may indicate a problem with this package. the error code is 2318.'
now i cant open itunes/acces any of my music..

When you uninstalled iTunes and used the installer cleanup utility, did you uninstall all the programs listed in the removal method and clean up any that did not uninstall cleanly?

Usually that Network message responds to that.
If no file was mentioned in the 2318 message, it might be worth looking in the event viewer to see if there is any clue to the problem file.
You can access it via Administrative tools on the Control Panel.
It might also be worth running a disk check although It may not be relevant to this particular error number.
Go to my computer, right click on the c: drive and select Properties>>Tools>>error checking.
If it detects errors try installing again. -
Annoying Problem Trying to Upgrade to new iTunes
When I try to install the new version of iTunes, I will reach the step where quicktime and itunes is installing with the status bar...and I get an error message saying there is a problem with my windows installer package, that I am missing a program required and need to contact my vendor or service provider....anyone know wuts up?
I know exactly which problem he is having. I need to fix the same one...First it brings you to a message that says,
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is not available.Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below."
when you click OK it brings up this message,
"The path 'C:\Program Files\Apple Software Update\Packages/iTunes.msi' cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package 'iTunes.msi' from a folder in which you can install the product iTunes." -
Why does my iphone crash when trying to upgrade?
Twice now I have been trying to upgrade my iphone 4 to the latest operating software and everytime it crashes leaving me with an unusable phone, last time I took it into the shop and they gave me a new phone, but tried to upgrade the new one and the same has happened.
I have all the latest itunes.
The itunes will now not recognise my phone (AGAIN)
This is the most frustrating thing! .................I am having the same problem. It started a few days ago actually. I was using it fine today until I download the new version 5.1. Now when trying to restore I keep keeping the errors 28 and 1618.

have you read the message in the panel? Something is wrong with your credit card. Perhaps you have to enter a new date of expiration.
In the small print it says, there is still a purchase, that needs paying,"Ugly Heart" with an amount of R 9.99. And "We were unable to authorise your credit card for this purchase". You will first have to update your Billing Information before you can proceed to make a new purchase for upgraded storage. Click "Account Details" in the iCloud panel.

If you cannot fix the account from the iCloud panel, open iTunes and sign into the "Store" menu, Then use the "Store > View account" item there to check for problems with your Billing Information. -
After upgrading the new operating system on my Droid Razr M it seems some useful features no longer work such as when typing a message the text anticipates the next word and when trying to delete individual messages from a contact, you can no longer tap and hold to select multiple message you have to delete them individually or the entire thread. Is there a way to get these back?

Just for the record, both type commands output "/usr/bin/startx" and pacman -Q gives "systemd 215-4".

Tried to upgrade os4 to os7 but could not due to "find my iphone" still turned on.
Could not turn it off at that stage so set up as new iphone. Now icloud will only accept past id email address and password which i no longer have,
but itunes on my phone has my correct current id and password. I need to restore my back up from itunes, i did not use icloud.
Any help please.

I have looked at icloud.com/find numerous times and my iPad is not showing at all (see picture below). As I said I did turn off 'Find My iPhone' on my iPad and then erase all settings and data before taking it to the repair centre.
The gentleman at the repair centre said that the device won't restore because "Apple thinks that 'Find My iPhone' is still turned on" (I'm repeating what he said). -
I'm trying to upgrade Logoc Pro 9.0 academic version to 9.1.7 to use on a new MacBook pro. When I try to do incremental upgrades to 9.0.1 or 9.0.2 it says I don't need them. When I try to upgrade to 9.1.7 it says there is no version eligible to upgrade. This all on the older MacBook currentlu running 9.0. But I need to upgrade to 9.1.7 to transfer it over tp the new MacBook w/ Retina display.
I think I just got it. I had the actual Logic Pro.app in a folder called Logic Pro inside the applications folder. When I moved the actual app out of the folder and into applications it worked. I am in the process of updating now. However it seems a little strange because that's how it installed from the discs - into a folder named Logic Pro within the applications folder. I would never have figured that out on my own. So thanks for those who posted solutions to other users similar requests.

When I tried to download the new version of firefox I get an error message that says "your computer must be restarted to complete an earlier upgrade" when I restart it says the same thing. I cannot use firefox at all at the moment. When I try to uninstall in the control panel, the same message pops up.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data. -
I upgraded my new iPad (iPad 3) to IOS 6 and everything went well except Siri won’t launch apps. When asked say “launch Facebook” Siri responds with “it doesn’t look like you have an app named Facebook” and I get the same results when trying to launch any app. Siri works for everything else it just won’t launch apps. Any ideas? Thanks.
I have this same problem... Seems like nobody else does. Siri won't launch any apps for me, including native apps.

Storage Space Running on my Pantech Marauder
