Trying to upload to flickr without including keywords

Here's the short version: I would like to upload pictures to my daughter's flickr stream without including any keywords at all. Aside from deleting the keywords in LR, is there any automatic way to be able to do that?
I love having Flickr export built into LR3, but this is an important privacy issue for us. I don't understand why there isn't a simple check box under "metadata": [] Don't include keywords.
if I can't strip the keywords, then I have to go back to exporting jpegs, using an external tool to strip the exif data, and then using uploadr. Which works... but I was kinda hoping to join the 21st century.

On Lightroom side, the method you describe is as good as it gets, at present. On Flickr you can open Organize and Create, pull images you don't want to have tags visible on into Batch Organize window, then edit the Permissions for these files.

Getting an error of limit of 500 photos for published album when trying to upload to Flickr

I'm trying to upload to my Flickr Pro account and I am now getting an error message saying:
"You may put a maxiumum of 500 photos in this published album. Only the first 500 photos will be added to this published album. If you want to publish more photos, publish another album."
This happens only when I'm trying to upload to a specific set which has 111 photos on Flickr. If I try to send to another set, it works. I can work around this, but I'd like to figure out what's going on.
What does this actually mean, and how am I able to continue to publish to the correct Flickr set?

Warning msg when trying to upload to Flickr with new LR4.1 RC

Worked fine with previous versions, including LR4. Now with LR4.1 I get the following:
"Warning: Can't update this collection. An internal error has occurred: Invalid at the top level of the document."

Can't upload to flickr from Aperture 3.5.1

I've just recently tried to upload to Flickr from Aperture 3.5.1 and am getting an error message:
"Aperture is no longer authorized to use the Flickr account "Michael Meyers" Do you want to set up publishing to this account again?"
I then click on the "set-up" button and am taken through to Safari to login to Flickr. I can do that successfully but then get a message saying "Oops! Flickr can't find a valid callback URL."
So it looks like there is no way for me to export from Aperture to Flickr.
This might have something to do with the Flickr API changing to use SSL only but I can't really be sure since the error messages aren't that descriptive.
Any ideas?

Check, if the "Primary Only" flag is active. If yes, disable it.
With this flag active, only the primary image will be effected by edits.

How can I get iPhoto 11 to include titles when uploading to Flickr

I am using iPhoto 11 and when I upload to Flickr, it will not include titles. I have tried using the share feature and the drag and drop feature and titles are not transferred to Flickr. Is there some way to get my titles in iPhoto to be included with my pictures when I upload to Flickr?

I did check with Flickr first and they said it was an iPhoto problem. Also, I did export the photos to a folder on the desktop with include titles checked, however, the result was not satisfactory. The titles included .jpg after each title and also the DSCN number showed and I had deleted that. The first time I uploaded an album to Flickr, it included the titles, but now, it does not do it. Open the Preferences panel (Edit menu on Windows, Dreamweaver menu on a Mac), and select the Site category. There are two checkboxes there for dependent files. Make sure both are selected. The Dreamweaver default is NOT to upload/download dependent files. You need to click Yes, if you want the dependent files to be included.

What is "error 11" when trying to upload photos to Flickr

I'm trying to upload about 50 photos from photoshop elements 7 to flickr.
I select the pictures, define a set, and say upload. It indicates that it is preparing the images and then uploads the first one.
Then I get an error message that says:
error 11: File not large enough to contain file fragment
And the upload process terminates.
This is a new flickr account and my first attempt to upload from PE7 to Flickr so pilot error is likely. I am a very frequent users of PE7 but new to Flickr.

It is a hard error. It happens every time I try to do an upload.
I am loading jpg files.

Aperture 3.6 Uploads to Flickr only at 72 dpi, not 300 dpi. Why?

Yesterday I upgraded to the new retina iMac (Yosemite 10.10) and updated Aperture to 3.6. (Previous iMac had not been updated with Yosemite.)
With previous setup, I was uploading to Flickr albums at 300 dpi.
With new setup, photos upload at 72 dpi, including files that previously uploaded at 300 dpi.
I've tried Preferences > Export > External Editor File Format > 300 dpi.
I've also done Presets > Image Exports > changed all formats/sizes to 300 dpi.
FWIW, I can export from Aperture into Lightroom and upload to Flickr from there at 240 dpi.
My question:
What setting am I missing in Aperture 3.6 so that photos upload to Flickr albums at 300 dpi again?

You should look at this thread Problem with Aperture 3.6 preset exports.
Seems Aperture has changed something since 3.6 that might be causing what you are seeing. The way Aperture is setting the JFIF x and y density settings has changed and they do not reflect the true DPI set on the file.
Don;t know if Flickr looks at those, something to keep in mind.

FWIW, I can export from Aperture into Lightroom and upload to Flickr from there at 240 dpi.
did you change the dpi setting in Lightroom? You should look the the image in Preview BEFORE you import into Lightroom. Look at the JFIF settings. Then look again AFTER you export from Lightroom. Did the JFIF settings change?

Lots of confusion uploading to flickr

I routinely upload to Flickr from each of my 5 Macs, and have seen messages in iPhoto that says certain sets are being removed from my flickr account. I suspected that this is because I upload from different Macs and the libraries are different. And the current iPhoto that I'm using is trying to sync it's library to flickr.
I do not want iPhoto to delete any sets like this, without my approval, so I removed the permissions from my account settings on the flickr page, in hopes that I could add them back with only write permissions.
There does not seem to be a way to do that, and now, when I try to upload from from one of the computers running iPhoto 9, it won't prompt to setup the flickr account..it just says :the login details or auth password were invalid".
On my one Mac that has iPhoto 11, it is prompting to setup the flickr permissions again, but it will not give options to allow only writing.... I don't want iPhoto to do any sync'ing in this manner (if indeed, that is what is happening)
So...I have 2 problems; 1. can't upload at all from my iPhoto 9 Macs and 2. Don't want iPhoto to delete stuff from my flickr account.
Flickr help/support referred me to Apple support...so here I am.

You might try another ftp program, like Fetch. Make sure the settings are OK for iWeb, per this note:

Nobody can tell you anything without knowing exact site and server specs, but I would suspect that naming the folder "html" wasn't the brightest of ideas, since that's usually a default (invisible) folder name existing somewhere on the server and the user not having privileges to overwrite it.

How do I upload iWeb-site without using 'Flie Publish' feature?

Due to corporate firewall restrictions I cannot use iDisk, Sync or iWeb to connect to .mac, which presented a problem when I wanted to Publish my iWeb site.
I have uploaded the site [via webdav, with Transmit] to the Sites folder of my iDisk, but I can't find my site when I enter my .mac URL into my browser (http://web.mac.com/myusername or http://homepage.mac.com/myusername).
Theoretically, is this the right way to upload to iDisk without using iWeb? Is there anything else I need to do to link my URL to the files in iDisk/Sites?

BTW I've used Transmit to upload to my iDisk in the past, such as files and photos with no problems. I assumed there would be no trouble with iWeb's files...

When my ipod is plugged into my computer music disappears, sometime it tries to upload songs, clears my playlists, and can't locate the songs files. All the same songs are in my Itunes library on my computer. What can i do?

of the same song trying to upload onto my ipod. And have of my playlist where empty. I am getting

iPhoto 11 (9.1.3) no longer uploads to Flickr. I get all the way to "upload" and then it does nothing. Tried restarting both the program and the whole computer to no avail. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Why do I get "generic error" message when trying to upload a self-created, 1hr .wmv file?

I went through the forums and made sure that any blocks or copywrites weren't triggered by the file, it's clean and can be opened using a media player and other video editing software like windows MovieMaker. I keep getting "The importer reported a generic error" message and have no idea how to proceed. Can someone please help?

This ARTICLE starts with a checklist on setting up a computer to run PrE best, then goes into a series of links for tuning up one's computer and OS, and then links on troubleshooting.
There is also a link on posting all necessary info, to help others help you.
Without knowing much more about your system, it is impossible to say much beyond that WMV's are tough assests to work with, requiring a lot of CPU horsepower.

Lightroom 5.2\5.3 crashing after two uploads to flickr

Hi all,
After getting a bit of a nagging from the in laws I got round to cataloguing the last few months photos to upload the pics of the kids.
When I go to upload to flickr it will publish two images then crash and the cycle repeats - having a few hundreds to upload there is no way on earth I'm going to babysit Lightroom while it does this.
I'm using jFlickr and have the most up to date version - although I was reluctant to mention this as I half suspect my issue will now be shelved using this as a get out - but frankly Adobe's offering is poor and presumes you've just started with Flickr.
The OS is Windows 8.1 64bit - LR 5.3 (same results on 5.1 and 5.2)

Jeff suggested checking the integrity or a re-install - I have completely rebuilt the PC - so clean install plus totally up to date versions - I also check integrity when I backup and it always passes, in addition I cleared the prefs file (again Jeff's idea) but it still crashes, but only with his plugin.
Is there a way to rebuild the catalogue without loosing the settings?
Could it be because I recently converted to DNG?
