Trying to use APPLE diagnostics-wont work-trying to diagnose the awful sound my book pro is making

So Im trying to figure out what is causing this sound that starts as soon as I turn it on & sounds like a crackling fire---scratchy coming from the left side under the keyboard--which gets quieter when I pick up the laptop. Plus sometimes it stops or isn't so loud. So I see on here to use the APPLE diagnostics by holding down the D key while turning it on and waiting for the diagnostics screen to show up---WELL it doesn't work. NOW what? Can anyone help?

Per Apple's agreement, the seller is suppose to include the system discs. Either contact the seller for the system discs or order the replacement System Discs directly from Apple's Customer Support - US (800) 767-2775 for a nominal fee. You'll need to have the model and serial number of your Mac available.

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

Whilst the remote app can be used once the Apple TV has been set up, you still need the original remote to set it up first.

Support problem. The adviser tried to diagnose the failure of an application called JOTNOT PRO to update. He said he'd phone back at 8pm. I pick up his call at 8pm. Electronic voice: thank you for calling apple. We are now closed" So now I have 2 problems

Electronic voice: thank you for calling apple. We are now closed" So now I have 2 problems: the adviser had got me to reset so bye bye wifi passwords and settings. And then when he phones back as we agreed he's not actually on the phone, it's just a voice saying Apple Support is now closed! What on earth is going on at apple support I wonder.
Anyway, the original problem: an application called JotNot Pro fails to update. The error message says something like "you cannot update this cos either you bought it with a different Apple ID or somebody else bought it."
Neither applies. Can anybody help?
PS. This is my first approach to the support community so please bear with me!

I can charge my 5th generation Nano either with the Apple USB cable connected to my Mac or when it is plugged to the wall outlet. Not suprisingly, it recahrges much faster when plugged into the electric outlet.

Typically this is caused by the internal list of compatible devices in the Mac being out of date. All you should need to do is disconnect the printer from the Mac, run Apple Software Update (even if there are no updates, the list will still update), restart the Mac, connect the printer to the Mac, and add the print queue. If that doesn't work, let me know.

I'm using an iMac with the newest OS X Yosemite. I tried to reinstall Creative Cloud, removed all the programs. But I still get the 'old' 2014 version with the Lionhead, not the Sunglasses (october 2014) with interactive libraries. I use Adobe iPad apps, for instance Adobe Brush, Adobe Shape and Adobe Color and it's so great to have all the things you make with these apps in your Illustrator & Photoshop libraries. Somehow it worked om my laptop, but not om my home computer.

Did you try unplugging the unit from power, leaving it for ten minutes, then plugging in again?
