Trying to use AX as an extender and wired point but can't seem to make it work, help plz

Hello,
I'm currently using a ISP supplied huawei HG8245, and using an AX to supply the lower floor satellite receiver with a wired connection and was also hoping to use it as a range extender for the huawei, but failed so far the wired point is working, and light is green, but as soon as i flip it into "extend wireless network"  it goes yellow with the error that it cant extend the netwrok.
i tried looking around the huawei set up but cant seem to find the equivalent of "allow network extension" but so far nothing is coming up.
i would appreciate some help...

Unfortunately, Apple's "extend a wireless network" appears to be a proprietary function that will only work among Apple routers, if you are trying to extend your network wirelessly.
Another way of saying the same thing is that you need to have two Apple routers on the network to be able to "extend a wireless network".
Here is what Apple's product literature for the AirPort Express says about this subject:
Extend an existing Wi-Fi network’s range.
If you already have a wireless network in your home and want to extend its range, AirPort Express can help. Just place it in range of your primary base station — an AirPort Extreme, Time Capsule, or another AirPort Express
Ironically, the AirPort Express will "join" virtually any wireless network and the Ethernet port is enabled in this type of setup. But, the AirPort Express will not provide any additional wireless signal coverage when it "joins" a wireless network.
