Trying to use UK iPhone 5s abroad

Hi I have a UK bought iPhone 5s. It's a1457 model.
I am trying to use it in South Korea on 4G LTE and their iPhone 5s are all a1530 models.
I was wondering if it's possible to use my a1457 over there. The essence of the question is if it's possible to use 4g over there.
Also was wondering if it's possible to check if my iPhone is unlocked. Got it as a gift so unsure if it's unlocked.
I'd love to try another SIM cards though nano sims are rather expensive to just buy as they go for £10 a piece?
I'm currently on 4G EE and it works perfectly on EE though never tried another network so quite unsure

As far as I found that one of the Korean service providers use LTE frequency of 900mhz and 1800mhz when my network provider Everything Everywhere in UK use 1800mhz only. If both use somehow at 1800mhz wondering it might work? I am quite lack in knowledge when it comes to these tech bits.

It's supposed to show up as a camera because it is a camera. Additionally, you won't be able to sync your music from your iphone back to iTunes... media sync is one way... iTunes to the iPhone.

Try to do a reset, if it doesn't work try remove recently added apps this may solve your problem ( like google app because it has happened with me)
Take a look at apps using your location service in privacy, it can cause battery draining.

How is iTunes telling you it is unlocked? Did you go through an unlock procedure with your cell company and then Restore it in iTunes?

If you are trying to connect via wifi to our iPhone then the password should be displayed on your phone when you go into Personal Hotspot, by default it is a random password set by the phone but you can change it there.

Trying to use my iPhone 3GS as audio output

This might sound a little convoluted, but here it goes.
I'm trying to get some use for my iPhone 3GS, and i though i might be able to connect it to an audio system and stream music from my Mac library to it. If i use iTunes, ideally, i could use my iPhone 5S to control iTunes, and therefore, control the music that's being output through the 3GS.
Is this even possible? Using my iPhone 3GS as audio output from a Mac, preferabily using iTunes instead of 3rd party app?

Trying to use old Iphone with IOS 3.1.3 as Ipod

My kids are trying to use an old Iphone Gen 1 as a Ipod. We have successfully loaded music, but now of course they want games. All games need a newer version of IOS. Can I upgrade somehow? Itunes says the IOS is up to date with no opportunity to upgrade.

Well they are apps and games in the app store which are supported with the iPhone 3G or iOS 3.1.3. Old games of course. BTW remove the sim so your kids cannot make phone calls and send SMS.

I'm trying to use my iphone 3g as an ipod now that I've upgraded to an iphone 4. But it is telling me that I need to have a sim card in my iphone 3g to use it. I don't want to use it as a phone at all so I wouldn't think that I need a sim card.

Actually, I wanted to let my son use my old iphone 3g as an ipod now that I upgraded to the iphone 4.
But it has continued to shut down and say that needed to restore it.
The last time I did it, it's now saying that I need to have a SIM card in order for it to work.
Now, I'm not wanting him to use it as a phone or for texting, so I just assumed this would work. But it's been very challenging.

Your cellular carrier also needs to support tethering (personal hotspot). If you have a "Share everything" plan under Verizon, it should be included.

If you have already turned on home sharing on the Apple TV, then the Apple TV should simply show up in the remote app without you having to do anything else.
Unfortunately, if you haven't yet enabled home sharing, you can only do so with the original remote and you'll need to purchase a replacement from the Apple Store.

When you say "wlan" are you trying to use your computer for internet sharing over wireless to other machines, and have your computer be the machine that routes the internet signal coming off the phone?
A better configuration would be to setup tethering of internet over Bluetooth for the phone, and then the computer can use its airport card to share the internet.
If you have an Airport Base Station, you can set it up to echo the WiFi signal being sent by the phone, and use the phone to share its internet over WiFi, using what is known as Wireless Distribution System (WDS).
Mind you internet on the phone being shared has its limits as your account probably is capped at how much data it can use in any one month. Computers using phone internet use a lot of data.
If this is over your head, you may want to bring the phone, your computer, and your Airport base station to an authorized repair shop, or Apple usergroup meeting where someone can at least configure everything as needed to share with the rest of the computers in your home.
