Trying to view a linux based dvr system on my mac

Im trying to remote view a linux based dvr system on my mac, I can log into the system, and use the controls, however I cannot view the video on any of the cameras, in windows it requires an active x control installed anyone know what the mac equivalent is?
Thanks

...it requires an active x control installed...
Simple answer: no.  ActiveX plug-ins are usually Internet Explorer only.  Thus you would not be able to view this on OSX.  You could install Windows on your Mac using Boot Camp or a virtual machine, but that's still viewing using Windows.

  • Terminal Keyboard features for a Linux based Server System

    Hi Forum,
there are some highlighted characters within terminal functions at a linux server (redhat or suse or ...) With Putty or a linux connection I get the special keys that are highlighted to work with the "alt" key pressed. Example is the terminal button "ok" with the "o" highlighted. If I press "alt"+"o" it would be choosen and the next page will be shown. Is there a way to make this work on a MacOSX Terminal? I had no chance to find anything similar with google. I hope you might find a solution!
    Thank you and best regards,

  • In trying to manage remote Linux-based Directory Servers with a NsDS 4.16 console running on NT 4.0 could a knowledgeable soul please explain the attached error?    Thanks in Advance, Jeffrey

The error appears in a pop message and is as follows -
Cannot logon because of an incorrect User ID,
    incorrect password or Directory problem.
    HttpException:
    Response: HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error
    Status: 500
    URL: http://152.80.1.1:3890/admin-serv/authenticate

    Hi Jeffrey,
There may be a lot of situations where you would encounter such error. However, it is most likely because you have not changed you default Administration restrictions (ip and hostname). By default on DS 4.1x, the ip specified is the ip address of the DS' machine and the host name is your domain.
Therefore, if you change these restrictions to "*" (to begin with) and restart you Administration Server, then you should be able to have access to your Linux DS through your Windows Console.
An easy way to verify if the above error message is related to the Administration Restrictions is to:
-> start a web browser with http://<linux_machine>:<adminport> to try to access the HTTP Gateway. If you cannot reach that page remotely, then you are most probably encountering the issue I have mentioned.
Hope this would answer you question.
    Cheers / Damien.

    Hello-
I have Adobe Acrobat Professional on my computer and everytime I try to view a PDF on our web based accounting system, it pops open in a separate window.  Can you please help?

    Hi Mike
First thing you want to do is uninstall CRVS SP 9 and install CRVS SP 10. SP 10 is the first SP to support VS 2013.
Once that is done, let us know if that helped any.

  • Error while trying to send a file through XI to SAP R/3 based OLTP system

    Hi all,
I encountered with an error in the runtime workbench for the below mentioned scenario
    ERROR message
<b>Unknown error: javax.ejb.CreateException: Neither messager server nor application server are defined for system IXI</b>
    SCENARIO
The manufacturing system triggers an equipment failure. The failure message is sent through SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI) to the SAP R/3 based OLTP system,
changing the equipment status to a failure state. This is achieved by triggering the execution of Remote Function Call (RFC) present in the OLTP system from the SAP XI integration server.
    Thanks and regards
    Jishi

    Hi Jishi,
Please check the Receiver RFC communication channel in your integration directory.
Check the logon parameters provided. From the error message, I guess there is no application server or message server provided, which is mandatory for XI to logon to the target backend R/3 system.

  • Is there any difference in the prompts of UCCX 7 (Windows based) and UCCX 9 (Linux based) ?

Are the prompts for UCCX 7 (windows based) and UCCX 9 (Linux Based) are different ?
There are no default prompts available in the script editor folder of UCCX 9.
I have downloaded some prompts from the internet with .wav format, but those prompts are not working.
Can someone tell me if the prompts are different and if they are really different, where to get those prompts then ?
I have also attached the prompts i have downloaded from the internet.

Nope, there's no difference.  UCCX uses either G711 or G729 encoded files.  You have to encode them first before you upload them.  UCCX will not encode them like CUCM does for MOH files.  In fact, you can use CUCM's MOH file encoding to encode your files for use within UCCX.
Also, you will not see the system prompts on your workstation where you installed the script editor.
What is it that you are trying to do?

  • Using MS FileSharingTestSuite for TESTING a LINUX Based SMB/CIFS implementation.

    Hi,
I was trying to setup the MS File Sharing test suite for testing the below implementation.
Could please let me know if this use-case is supported. If not could please point me to
resources [Microsoft] which could help achieve this purpose effectively.
I want to test CIFS File server implementation running on Linux [SUSE Linux - Open Enterprise Server]
The client accessing the file services from above
    CIFS server implementation is vastly
    Windows clients.
Though would like to know ways of testing if the client is a Linux based desktop or a Mac based client as well in future.
For the above setup details I would like to know if and how we could create a "Driver
Computer" setup mainly. So we could use the File Sharing test suite to test against this Linux based CIFS server implementation.
And also the details on setting up the  'System Under Test (SUT)' , if any changes required[from what is documented in the "FileSharing_ServerUserGuide]" to
    achieve the above.
Could kindly point me in the right direction to help achieve the above testing purpose.
Please let me know in case any details are required to help resolve the query.
Thanks for your time and help.
    Regards,
    Kavitha A

    Hi,
    Thanks for your time.
I am actually talking about using file sharing test suite provided My microsoft for testing a Linux Based CIFS/SMB implementation.
I have got my query answered via Mail from Microsoft dochelp team. hence marking this as resolved.
Posting the response /resolution from DOcHelp team on this thread for benefit of anyone looking for similar information/understanding:
If you are testing in a Workgroup scenario you need a Driver Computer and the System Under Test (SUT) computer.
In a domain-joined scenario, you need a DC somewhere in your environment to join the machines.
The guide document that comes with the test suite package provides guidance on what needs to be configured in each scenario.
The Driver Computer is the Windows machine where the synthetic test suite runs and simulates a client by emitting the protocol packets. The client sends packets to the file server
(the SUT) to test the server implementation of the protocol.
The SUT implements the server side of the protocol and the SUT can be running on any operating system.
For your convenience, you can setup a Windows SUT just for the purpose of understanding the test configuration on the driver client.
The document has instructions for Windows SUT and guidelines for non-Windows SUT as well. In your case, it’s a non-Windows SUT. You need to configure your server where your file
server implementation is running and setup the Driver computer to test your SUT.
I understand that your ultimate goal is to setup your own SUT on the SUSE Linux server.
Many customers have setup SUTs on CentOS, Ubuntu, etc. The flavor of the operating system is not relevant as such. The client simulator talks the SUT by following the protocol
    packets.
Please go through the document step-by-step and I am sure it will come together.
Let’s me know whether you have any further questions.
I am not looking at CIFS share access from a Linux system. Otherwise would have posted in relevant Linux forums If looking for the same information. Thanks again for taking time to help though.

  • Error message when trying to view/print Crystal reports in B1

I get the following Error message when trying to view/print crystal reports in SAP B1/Crystal Reports Integration Tool for SAP Business One:
" Could not load file or assembly 'Crystal Decisions Windows Forms, version=12.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, Public Key Token=692fbea551e1304'  or one of its dependencies.  The system cannot find the file specified.  ????

    Hi
    Common issues for this :
    1. Once you install crystall add on ,you need to go to Crystal report Administration >Account setup .
Put on the user name and password and click on creating ext tables
Try then running the report .
    If not the case ,
make sure you install runtime .
    You need :
1.Crystal report basic from SAP download -(Not necessary if you want only report viewer >
2.You need to have crystal integration addon (I think service pack is SP1)
3.Make sure you have runtime install
When you are installing ,make sure you restart your PC before you do or remove temporary file s
    Hope this solves your issue

I have a football game recorded on a DVD+R disc that I was trying to view on my MacBook using DVD Player.  The video comes onto the screen, but immediately freezes, and then disappears.  An error message comes up saying that DVD player unexpectedly quit.  My MacBook operating system is Mac OS X, version 10.5.8.  DVD Player is App version 5.0.3, framework version 5.0.7.
However, the DVD+R works on both my Dad's and my brother's laptops.  My Dad's laptop is an iBook G4 with Mac OS X operating system, version 10.3.9.  The DVD Player is version 4.0.  My brother's laptop is a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X operating system, version 10.7.2.  The DVD Player is App version 5500.26.1 and framework version 5.5.0.  The DVD+R plays fine on their laptops, but will not play on mine.

    Lao Bo,
yes, you can locate and copy a file from your HD to a USB key using UNIX commands. If you know the exact name of the file which you’re trying to locate, try this:
    find / -iname filename -print
This command will search your entire internal disk for the particular filename. If you know that it’s within a particular user account, then you can save search time with this variation:
    find /Users/username -iname filename -print
Either variation of this command will print all files found which have the given filename. Presuming that you’re able to identify the correct file, you can copy it to a USB key using the command
    cp -p filename_returned_by_find /Volumes/USB_volume
If you’re not sure which volume name your USB key has, this command will show you what the possibilities are:
    ls /Volumes
Please let me know if you have any trouble with these commands.

  • Palm Desktop shuts down when trying to view calendar by month

I'm using a Palm TX with the latest edition of Desktop installed (I think that's 6.2).  Everything is normal except, suddenly, I cannot view my calendar in monthly view.   Daily, weekly and yearly all work fine.  Desktop shuts down when trying to view in monthly view.  I did a system restart, a Desktop reinstallation, a download of the latest version and installation of that version and, finally, uninstallment of the existing Desktop, download of the newest version and installation of that version.  Nothing seems to enable me to view the calendar in monthly view.  This is a spontaneous event.  I've been running Desktop on a Vista Ultimate system since February without incident.  I have no idea about how to solve this.
    Thanks
    Post relates to: Palm TX

Well, here's where we are now.  It's a good thing that I have desktop on my office computer because when I tried a Hotsynch with my home desktop, Hotsynch wiped out all the data on my handheld and then hung up both the handheld and desktop in the middle of the Hotsynch.  I'm going to overwrite the entire handheld with the office desktop file.  As for the home setup, I'm thinking the only thing I can do now is uninstall Palm and wipe out the entire directory of files.  Am I correct about this?  Do I need to do a clean uninstall?

H.264 video should be supported by your basic Snow Leopard operating system. The DVCPRO HD family of codecs is part of the Apple "Pro" codecs package which is normally installed as part of a "Pro" video editing suite installer or contemporaneously installed separately as part of one of the newer pro editing apps like FCPX. if you already have one of these pro suites or apps installed or available, then re-install the correct codec package that is missing. If not, you will need to purchase a Pro suite or app to be able to install the required codec package.

  • Error out of memory message when trying to view a clip

Hi, when I'm trying to view a clip in the viewer for any of my projects, it comes up with an error message saying "out of memory" Now, it's like this whenever I'm trying to view any clips from any of my projects after I double click on the clip or sequence. Then, after the error message comes up and I hit ok the viewer goes down. I just recently bought an external hard drive, and put my final cut in my new HD. I have more than enough space. And this was the main reason I decided to by a new HD, because my actual system on my mac does not have enough space. Please help as this issue is really bothering me. Thanks.

The applications themselves (fcp, motion, soundtrack pro, dvdsp color) want to reside on your system drive. You can however putt all the auxilliary stuff on the other drive: livetype templates, soundtrack pro stuff)

    Hi,
We have heard few users having similar issue as yours and found out the problem for one of the users is this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2716529 .
I was able to reporduce this problem(square with a 'X') by changing the TabProcGrowth registry entry to 0.
This tool provided by Microsoft is for Win 8, to run this on Win 7 you can manually change the registry setting : please see " Let me fix it myself" in above url.
Before running these steps please make sure yours indeed is the same problem.
Please be very careful as some registry settings (not this one) can create serious problems on a Windows system including causing it to no longer boo
