I believe there is a technique which uses some similar suggestion to unwittingly tempt the user into installing malware, in order to be able to watch some (usually sexually explicit) video, so be aware of this ruse.
The only things I would download would be Perian that extends Quicktime, available here,
http://www.perian.org/
and if that did not do it, then try VLC to use instead of Quicktime.

Thanks, but I've done that several times & it still says I need administraive privileges. I had itunes installed with no problems until I did the latest update. After that it just disappeared, so I tried reinstalling. Now I can't sync my phone. This is so frustrating!

Please repost in the Final Cut Pro forum. Have you considered upgrading your machine, if you are still running Leopard your machine may be as old as 5 years old. While this should not matter you probably won't get the performance you want out of a demanding app like FCP.

Not able to watch .mp4 videos in Quick Time Player

I have a GOPro camera where the videos are currently stored on an external hard drive. I wanted to import those videos to iPhoto, which didn't work. Then I tried importing them without using iPhoto, but when trying to watch them I get a message saying that "Quick Time Player is not able to open the video.
I find this very strange, as I already have some GoPro videos in IPhoto, which I can view just fine (in iPhoto, and outside of iPhoto). The videos are shot using the same camera.
Also; Quick Time Player is supposed to support mp4. format; so I really don't see where I did go wrong?What format is used on the external drive?
I suspect it's the reason the files can't be played. -
I had to have my computer reformatted in July, and am just now trying to install PSE9. When I tried to enter the serial number I got a dialog box that stated that this serial number was not valid for the trial. I bought this. According to my profile, I bought in in February 2011. I have only had it on this computer and I have never installed Premier Elements. Can you help please? Thank you, Kayt

i had the same problem and i fix it installing ccleaner, it is free and an excellent program. You can download it from: https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download
Once installed, in the tab "Herramientas" (sorry but i have it in spanish) you choose "Inicio" and them you pick CS5ServiceManager then you pick in delete option. Basically you are removing of the startup programs...

I was watching a movie on my Apple TV and suddenly it stopped. I noticed I was logged out. Then I tried logging in again and I keep getting a message "cannot connect to iTunes". I restarted the Apple TV three times and tried again each time. I am stuck Help please
There's an issue currently that a lot of us are experiencing in that we all get the error message "iTunes is currently unavailable; please try later"

As it stands iTunes cannot be accessed via ATV's and nor can it be streamed via AirPlay from iTunes to the ATV
However I can access all films/iCloud content via my Mac Mini with no issues! -

The reason why you are getting this prompt is because you are trying to install an upgrade version.
During the upgrade, you will need to enter serial number twice.
The first time, you need to enter the serial number of the actual product that you have purchased.
The second time, you need to enter serial number for the previous version that you had.
So, please enter serial number of the previous version at the second prompt.

I am using iphoto 6.06 for my intel imac. I have been trying to print pictures from iphoto and i keep getting a message that states " unreadable file: the following file could not be imported. the file is in the iphoto library folder" also when i try to print a picture from iphoto i get a message that says "no page was selected"
not sure what happened but i can pnly print when i drop the photo onto my desktop as an 8.5 x 11 size picture and i am trying to print 4x6'sSince the new library gives you the same message log into another user account on your Mac and see if you can run iPhoto without getting that message. If you get that message there also a reinstall of iPhoto seems indicated. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

I'm trying to get onto facetime and I keep getting a message saying the server encountered an error processing registration please try again later. Can anybody tell me what is going on?
I have read over and actioned ALL recommendations many times over, and still get the Facetime error..! I have reset Host file, looked for iphone certificates, set time/date to auto, checked for suspect DNS entries, cleared caches etc etc. It's become a very fustrating problem. Worked fine for a long time but then suddenly stopped.
I wish I could find the solution... -
When I tried to use my saved credit card, I made an error & it didn't work. Now, although the error is corrected, I keep getting a message that the card is declined. Can I fix this, or will the error time out?
