Tryout missing plugins so I can't open it.

I tried to open my trial version. It's missing plugins (PDF Format.aip). I uninstalled following advice on adobe forums. Can I please reinstall?

Missing Plugins for CS2- Can't open CS3 doc

I am unable to open a CS3 doc (.inx) in CS2. I keep getting an error message saying I am missing the plug-ins LILO.APLN and CELLSTYLES.RPLN. Where do I get these missing plug-ins?

The latest version of Final Cut Pro is 6.0.5.
Use the software updater to get to that version.
My guess is the 6.0.1 was released before FCE 4.0.1.

Sky Player - I am trying to register for the service but it says I have missing plugins but Firefox can't find any

I am trying to sign-up to Sky Player however I cannot do so because when I press the 'sign-up' button on the web page it refuses to take me to next page and the Firefox has a banner saying 'missing plugins'. When I click on that Firefox cannot find the missing plugins! I manually download some but it makes no difference.
Had similar problems in the past with other sites and end up have to use IE instead!

Missing Adobe Application Support can't open...

I have Mac G4, running PS CS2 v9.0.2. I've just installed OS 10.4.11, now when I dbl. clk. a ps file it won't open and I get a message saying, "One or more files in Adobe App. Support folder are missing Please reinstall PS.
I found the topic in the forum and neither solution works for me.
Are there any other ways around this?

If you can open the files directly via the open file dialog box, then
the problem most likely is a file association problem. If you cannot
open the file directly, then you probably need to re-install. For the
most part postscript files should not be opened in Photoshop.

I installed java with plugins and still can't open documents with .jar. Do I have to direct it to C:\Acer\ProgramFiles\ and how do I change?

I have been trying to open a .jar file on a new Acer laptop. I installed the JAVA, however, when I try to open the .jar files it only brings me back to install Java. The computer is an Acer and the program files are located at C:\Acer\ProgramFiles instead of C:\program files. Do I need to change the web browser somehow to read at C:\Acer\ProgramFiles\?

The .jar files that Firefox uses for a theme are not Java files, but are ZIP archives that store the theme files.<br />
You can use "File > Open File" or drag the .jar file in the "Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes" window to install the theme.

Can't open files because ID5.5 is missing

Was happily creating ID files in 5.5 and had a computer disaster. New computer, new install -- up to ID5.0. But ID5.5 disc won't install and InDesign 5.0 won't open any of my old files because of a list of missing plugins. How can I get a new install of ID5.5 without spending more thousands? I am retired now and need ID for freelance work.

Where can I find the plugins folder when I have opened PSE13? I miss it in this version! If so why did Adobe removed it? Then this version has no use to me.

I have Windows 7 Professional X86 and I also noticed that PSE13 was installed in my 'normal' program files folder instead of the X86 program files folder. PSE11 used the X86 programfiles folder. I dunno why though!

Somewhere i heard that we have to create a sybolic link with the java plugin. Where can i find that java plugin in our system and to where i have to crete the link.from where you heard that, it is required ?

Trying to open a saved down idml file in CS4. Updated CS4 but still missing plugins?

I'm trying to open both an inx file as well as an idml file exported from CS5. I have CS4 and it is updated as far as it will go, but it still says I'm missing plugins. And a lot too... 19 of them! Does anyone know how I can get these plugins? It's requesting them for both the inx file and the idml file.

That is indicative of someone simply renaming an INDD file to IDML. In other words, that file wasn’t EXPORTED from anything. It was saved with a different extension or renamed after saving.

Hi, hoping someone can help.
I am trying to open an Indesign file (I think it's a CS3 file) with CS4 but get this message:
Cannot Open File
Please upgrade your plug-ins to their latest versions, or upgrade to the latest version of Adobe InDesign.
It lists about 15 plugins that are 'missing';
eg:
PDF.InDesignPlugin
FontManager
Group
Generic
Table Model
etc etc
Any ideas how I get around this so I can work on the doc?

That error message means that you're trying to open a file that is newer than your copy of InDesign. So, the file pretty much has to be a CS5 file. You can't open a CS5 file in CS4; you'd need to open it up in CS5 and export an IDML file, which you can then open in CS4.
There's an additional confusing element here:
InDesign CS4 is actually InDesign 6 when you click Help -> About
InDesign CS2 is actually InDesign 4 when you click Help -> About
and so on
However, it's not possible to see that error message when you're opening an older InDesign file in a newer program.

I use slow dial-up and can't keep any flash players on my computer. Every time I click on anything, even in my Yahoo! Mail homepage, this alert appears: Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page. To the right is a link to Install Missing Plugins. I click the x to close it, and, when I click on something else, it appears again. It's very frustrating -- is there some way that I can disable this alert. I run Windows XP. If I have any of the plug-ins listed in the Installed plugins window below, I'm unaware of it, other than Adobe Acrobat 5.

However I have tried entering about:config in the address bar with no quotes, with three lines (copying what you typed), with a regular double lined quotes, and with single lined quotes. Each one opens a Google page. How do I get my computer to treat it as a request for the about:config page?
First I had to ask Google what a "location bar" is, and found that it's the address bar. So I did all this using the address bar, not the Google search bar to enter about:config. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to correct it.
