Front Row is no longer supported. However, there are several applications that can do the same job for you (quite nicely, actually) and that work with ML. Try searching the Mac App Store. Also: there are uncountable threads about this over at the Front Row forum.

What happened to front row

Updated to the latest OS (10.7) and found nothing special. Unlike Leopard Lion is turning to be a let down. All flash but no substance. Of course it's faster, I would be faster to if most of insides were removed.

So why did you upgrade?
No Front Row was well flagged up ahead of the launch....as was the fact that support for many other programs has gone. I checked my system and if I were to upgrade to Lion then I'd have to shell out £££££££'s to buy a new set of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (ie Photoshop etc). I have a gut feel that my graphics tablet would no longer work either. I see no 'must-buy' reasons for upgrading.

When you install 10.7 or later, a Recovery HD partition is created taking a small part of the bottom portion of the BootCamp partition so it will be slightly smaller.
However upgrades can go bad and you need to backup regardless.
Most commonly used backup methods
If you can only upgrade to 10.7 on that machine and can't go to 10.8, then really it's almost a wasted effort really.
You should know your PPC based programs that are running under 10.6's "Rosetta" are NOT going to work if you upgrade to 10.7 or later.

Also there is a performance issue especially after you software update 10.7 to the lastest version, it's more defined on older machines.
If it's not a Early 2011 or later, I would stick with 10.6.8 on it as it has about 30% version share, almost the same as 10.7 has. Apple is paying attention to Snow Leopard, recent security updates have been issued.

when you updated to the new firefox my screen lost the imarcos program and the functions i was using it for. I also lost the refresh and backup functions off the screen. what are you diong I have lost from 20 to 40 dollars per week ever scince i let you do your upgrade. and how in the hell do i get it back you can keep your new version if this is all you have to offer. not very happy

What do you mean by the above italicized text? Did you enable iTunes Match in iTunes on the work computer? If not, simply launching iTunes won't do anything for you. You need to pull down the Store Menu and select "Turn on iTunes Match."

Hello, what happened to my tabs when i updated firefox?

My home button is on the right instead of the left. all my buttons for my most visited is gone. What is dashboard and wave? I dont need it if i dont know what is . i had a cool app that it had all my current history of where i had been. so much better then tabs. I just want my old screen back. i did a system restore and that didnt work. i dont know alot about pc's as you can tell so please help

To move the Home button, right click next to the new tab button (+) and choose Customize... (or use View > Toolbars > Customize...). Move the button palette out of the way and you can drag and drop the Home button to your preferred position. Click Done in the button palette when you're done.
Not familiar with Dashboard and Wave. Only had Firefox 4 for about a week now. Where do you see those?
Extensions that did not list compatibility with Firefox 4 are disabled during the upgrade. That could be how you lost your history app. If you go into Tools > Add-ons you can check for updates. Also, visit the add-on author's site to see whether she or he is working on making it compatible with Firefox 4.
Finally, System Restore has only a limited functionality: it's only for Windows' most critical system files, and doesn't cover everything else on your computer. You can still get Firefox 3.6, but because I don't know the exact steps to roll back, I'll wait for someone else to comment on that.

i am working on a project which weblogic as app server. there's many cases
in my application where we have to update large number of records(about
fifty thousands) in
a loop one at a time. we have tried with entity beans but it 's so slow.
so in this case we have to update database directly. but i am worried about
my code accessing record with entity beans. the entities caches state and i
am
afraid there will be trouble if the state in ejb caches and record in db
mismatch . i change state in db directly and ejbs has no way to know about
it.
is there any solution?

I couldn't get this suggestion to work on two different Macs. I don't think the Front Row.app is handled the same way as other applications. For example, you can't launch Front Row by double clicking on it inside the CoreServices folder.

I have following question - what happens in EP technically when user clicks on some folder?
I just want to know the exact sequence of events that takes place - I know some of the events like the role of user is checked. Then system checks that what all pages, iviews, etc have been been assigned to folder. The system then finally displays the all objects under the folder.
But I want to know in depth what happens some thing at core programming level.
In fact in my project we have created 2 folder. Some iviews have been assigned to folder.
Suppose name of folders are A and B. We want to pass value 1 to SAP BW when A is selected. We want to pass value 2 to SAP BW when B is selected.
How we can do so?

For some functionality we have created 5 iviews and assigned it to folder A.
For some functionality we have created 5 iviews and assigned it to folder B.
We have to pass Value Type = 1 to BW for iviews of folder A.
We have to pass Value Type = 2 to BW for iviews of folder B.
How this can be done? Please help.

Once you have restored your new phone from the backup of your old phone and ensured that everything is working correctly, you should first turn off "find my phone" on the old phone and then erase it, before you get rid of it.
