Be careful, when you connect the iPhone to your mac, unless you have saved the photos. Synced photos may easily be accidentally deleted by syncing again. And do not enable iCloud Photo Library (Beta), that will erase synced photos as well. Synced Photos are not included in the device backups.
Set your iTunes Preferences to "Devices > Prevent iPos, iPhones, iPads from syncing automatically". Otherwise iTunes may launch and sync your iPhone with an empty iPhoto library the moment you connect it.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to sync the synced photos back. Apple recommends to mail them back, but that would be a lot of clicking (iTunes: Syncing photos - Apple Support). You could also share them to a Shared Album, but a third party app like TD recommended, will be better.

Hey There I didn't need to change it as it shows my correct name in my icloud account. The problem is on my Mac where it still shows my Full name as my partners name.
For eg. if I send an email from "Mail" on mac and I use my icloud account then the name that shows up is my partners name when the email is received. If I send an email from the Icloud Mail box that I log into on my browser then the name that shows up when the email is received is my name which is correct.
When I go into preferences in "Mail" on my Mac to change my name, the name is ghosted out and doesn't allow me to change it ! ? It is here that it still show my partners name ?

Windows XP can't import video files larger than 500 MB using Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can transfer these files from your device by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the files to your computer's hard drive.

Thank you for not only the tip but also especially the research showing that for anybody other that those using Wi-Fi for the first time the network wouldn't disappear. I wanted it to disappear for everyone so.....I finally solved it by resetting the Airport Extreme to the factory settings and starting over from scratch! It worked! Yay!!!!!
So, for everyone that has had this problem (and I've read many of the same complaints in different places on the Internet), you must go into Airport Utility and check the box stating that you want to reset it to the factory settings. Do not do it with a paper clip and the reset button on the box; I tried that first and it did not work. You must reset it via the Airport Utility. Then just start over and you will have the choice to NOT check the box to Enable Guests. If you want to enable guests, just be sure not to use your name or you're back to the same problem. Apple is so great with everything...wouldn't it have been so easy for them to just put this in the manual somewhere????? Thanks for all your help. Hope this helps others!

I have a class with an integer pointer, which I have not initialized to NULL in the constructor. For example:
class myclass
private:
char * name;
int *site;
myclass:: myclass(?.)
: name(NULL)
other member function "delete [] " the variable before initializing it.
Ex:
void myclass:: copy_site ( int **Values, int *from)
int *old;
old = *values.
Delete [] old; <<<<<? here I am getting SEGV
But I am getting SEGV at "delete []".
Surprisingly it is not happening every time.For some inputs it is certainly working fine.
What could be the reason?
If it is because of initialization, why is working for some inputs and certainly not for other inputs?
I have observed with workshop that, for some inputs it is automatically getting initialized to NULL, and for other inputs it is certainly not NULL (dangling pointer).

The rule for "delete"is that you must write
delete [] p;
if p points to an array, but you must write
delete p; // without []
if p points to a single object.
Therefore, you must know how how the heap item that p points to was created: as a single object or as an array.
If you guess wrong, your code is likely to fail. The exact circumstances when you get a failure depend on the details of your code and on the details of the compiler implementation. The C++ standard says that the results are "undefined", meaning that you are not allowed to expect any particular result.
If p could reasonably be assigned the address of either a single object or an array, you need to change your allocation strategy.
1. Never allocate a single object, but always allocate an array, even if an array of 1 item.
2. Use "delete []", since you will always have an array.
You could create a factory function that returns a pointer to an array of T (even if an array of 1 object) and call that function instead of allocating directly on the heap.
But it's more likely that you can organize your code so that you always know whether you are dealing with an arary or a heap. The problem of p versus p[0] to get to the object is still there.

First check your Applications folder to see if the app was installled there.
If not, from the App Store menu bar top of your screen click Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads.
If that doesn't help, try re downloading the app.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original download.
If you hae anti virus software installed, you may need to disable that before downloading apps.

They are not on the iphone in the first place. It is just a setting that allows you to see the songs that are available in icloud, but not on your iphone. If you turn the setting to off, then you no longer see the songs that are in icloud, but NOT on your iphone.

Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. All of the Camera Raw technology is part of the Lightroom program. You will either have to upgrade to Lightroom 5 or use the DNG converter to create digital negative copies that can be used with Lightroom 4.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. If you are syncing a number of folders from your computer then each folder should get it's own album on the iPad (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236) - I assume that you've touched the 'Albums' button at the top of the Photos app so as to view them by album, and not just the Photos 'button'.
You could try closing the Photos app completely and then re-opening it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Photos 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Photos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Another option is to try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
