TS1277 i want to acess my music library on someone elses computer but can't help me

i want to access my music library from itunes on my friends computer but can't does someone know how i can do this

Of course you cannot. Your media is physically on your computer.
An iTunes library is not like email that can be accessed from any computer with Internet acces, instead you must be physically on the computer where the content exists or on another computer on the same network AND Homesharing must be enabled.

I synced my phone and now I can't find my contacts.  I wanted to double check that they are on my computer but can't find them.  Where can I look?

Where do you get your contacts from?
    Do you use Outlook?
Have you made a back up of your iPhone on iTunes/iCloud when the contacts were on it?
Do you use Windows or a Mac?

  • I can not move my itunes music to my windows 8 computer. Can anyone help me? Please

I am having a issue with my new computer, it has windows 8 is not allowing me to down load my iTunes music on to it. iTunes message says I need to authorize my computer. I am not sure how to do this can anyone HELP me?

click on the store tab on the top left of iTunes.  Scroll to where it says "Authorize this computer...".  Click on that and enter your apple id and password then click authorize.  The reason iTunes says that your computer needs to be authorized is because it is to be sure that iTunes knows can trust your new computer

I had my iPhone 4S stolen last week and I am going to sync it to my computer to get everything back on it.
If it is stolen , how are you going to sync it?
You mean you got a new iPhone and you want to sync it to your computer?
    Plug it in.
I know how to copy my music library to my new computer
    New computer??? Or new iPhone?
I know how to copy my music library to my new computer but struggling with copying the contacts etc. Where do I find the contacts folder on my old computer?
I suggest you simply copy your entire User folder from old computer to new computer. This way all your data (Music, photos, contacts, emails, calendars, documents, etc.)  goes across.

  • HT5622 My wife and I have different Apple ID's and passwords but I want to share the music library which is on iCloud under my Apple ID.  How do I set her up to share the music library that exists in iCloud?

My wife and I have different Apple ID's and passwords but I want to share our music library which is on iCloud under my Apple ID.  How do I set her up to share the music library that resides on the iCloud under my Apple ID?

You would need to go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap her ID, sign out, then sign back in with your ID.  However, if she has turned on automatic downloads, download previous purchases or signed into an iTunes Match account using her current ID, she would have to wait 90 days from when she first did this to change to another ID.  She can, of course, sync your music to her device using iTunes without changing her ID association.

  • Hi, I want to download my music library from my iPad to my IPhone via Bluetooth but can't get a connection between the devices??? Help please

Hi, I want to download my music library from my ipad2 to m iphone4 by Bluetooth but the devices won't connect. Both devices have Bluetooth turned on. Help please.

Can't sync them like that. Update both to iOS 5 and sync both with iTunes then set up iCloud. All new purchases will be automatically downloaded to both devices when you turn on automatic downloads in the settings.

  • I have a 64 GB iPod that is full.  My mother has a 128GB iPod that is largely empty.  I want to take my Music library and put it on her iPod, and take her library and put it on my iPod.  How do I do this?

Are you currently Syncing the iPod's with their own iTunes Library? Since the iPod Classic has to get it's content by this method, I assume that you are doing so for the 120GB iPod and I take it that it is a Classic.
If you are, then simply connect the iPod to the other Library.
If the content of the iPod Touch (which I assume is what the 64GB iPod is) is not all in an iTunes library - i.e. you purchased music and Apps on the Touch and have not yet Synced those to an iTunes Library, then you need to do that first. Bear in mind though, that the Apps cannot run on an iPod Classic.

  • Bought an iPod Classic.  First iPod, had a Zen for years, I want to transfer my music library, approximately 15,000 songs without creating an iTunes Media library.

Bought an iPod Classic.  First iPod, had a Zen for years, I want to transfer my music library, approximately 15,000 songs without creating an iTunes Media library.  All of the music is currently in WMA format.  As you can imagine, 15,000 songs takes up a lot of space and I do not wnat it duplicated on my harddrive in an iTunes Media Library.  What are my options?-Shawn

Change your mind, or change your device.
You can't put wma files on an iPod classic. You can't put files onto an iPod without adding them to a media library first.

  • I want to sync my music library from my iPhone 4 to my mac air.

I am trying to sync my music from my desktop at work to my Mac Airbook. What's the simplest way to do it until the cloud is available?

    1) ensure iTunes on the MBA is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
    2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
    3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in the MBA's library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

  • I want to delete my music library on my ipad. How do I do that?

I want to give one of my ipads to a friend (I luckily have two) but I already had loaded my music on the old one and want to remove my music before giving it away. How can I do that?

Connect the iPad to the computer > Open iTunes > click on "xxx's iPad" > click on the tab named music > uncheck all the playlists, artist, album, etc that are checked and on the very bottom there's a list of music, highlight them all right click and "Remove/Delete" > that's all you need to do.
    Any questions, please ask.

  • How do I transfer my itunes music library to my new computer

How do I transfer my itunes music library to my new computer (not a mac owner)?

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
If you have an iOS device that syncs with contact & calendar data on your computer you should migrate this information too. If that isn't possible create a dummy entry of each type in your new profile and iTunes should offer to merge the existing data from the device into the computer, otherwise the danger is that it will wipe the information from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library, or a backup of it, then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.
