TS1286 Iphone 3gs bought in UK. Moved to Australia and I am trying to sync iphone. Error message received "unknowen error occurred (9006). Can anyone help
I bought my iphone 3gs in UK. I moved to Australia and I am now trying to sync iphone. However I keep getting error message "There was a problem downloading software to iphone. A unknown error occurred (9006). I have looked at network settings and everything seems ok. Can anyone help?
Look at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3125
Error 9006 on the apple site says "
Error 9006: Following Troubleshooting security software frequently resolves this error. There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting a TcpWindowSize entry into your Registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet size modification for assistance."

i have an iphone 3gs and everytime i try to restore it on itunes it just keeps saying an unknown erroe has occured (29) can anyone help me with this??
Hello Laura,
Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I found an article that has information about Error 29:
Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, 40
These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

I have the iphone 5s and I am trying to sync my music from itunes on my desktop, but can't seem to do it, any suggestions??
Make sure you have selected to sync your entire library, or have checked the songs you want to sync. This might help: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1351

my iphone 4 is frozen on the slide to unlock screen. ive tried the sleep/awake button home button but it doesnt work can someone help me
By the slide to unlock screen, are you talking about the slider at the bottom of the screen after taking out of sleep mode?
And by trying the sleep/wake button and home button, are you talking about a reboot by holding both the power/sleep button and the home button until the apple logo appears and it reboots? And that does not help release the issue with the slider?
Are you sure the iPhone is well charged?
If none if this helps, have you tried syncing/backing up to a compter and then restore by iTunes on a computer?
If you cannot do any of this it would be good to schedule a visit to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs try their hand and diagnostics. -

This is indicates a hardwre issue:
Check for hardware issues
Related errors: 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1000, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
Error 1015 might happen after making unauthorized modifications to iOS, also called "jailbreaking."
Use recovery mode to restore your device
Related errors: 1015, “The required resource can't be found.”
You might see these error messages if your device has a beta version of iOS or if you're installing an older version of iOS (downgrading). Use recovery mode to restore your device to the latest version of iOS.
Quit virtualization software
Quit any virtualization software (such as Parallels or VMware) that’s running on your Mac. Then use the latest version of iTunes to restore your device.

Hey arrowprints!
This means it has been rejected by our spam filter. There are a few things that could cause this but here are the ways you can usually fix this.
Make sure your email is only going to one recipient: the printer. If you have anyone else in the 'To' or 'CC' fields clear them out.
If you are forwarding an email, clear out any instances of 'FW:' from the subject line.
Make sure your iPhone is only setup to send from one email address. If you have more than one address setup it may not work.
If you are sending a photo, make sure you send it as actual size (and the iPhone 3gs' camera won't send pictures because of the dpi it takes them at).
Last, if it still isn't working, try removing your email account from your phone and then setting it back up. If this doesn't work, let me know what your email domain is (yahoo, gmail, comcast.net, etc.)
Let me know if you still need help!
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

When I connect my iPhone (ios 4.3.3) to my Desktop Mac I get an error message. "iPhone cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found." This happened while I was downloading photos from iPhoto.
Close "iPhoto" if it is open. Open the "Pictures" folder and right-click on "iPhoto Library." Select "Show Package Contents." Right-click the "iPod Photo Cache" folder, select "Move to Trash" and sync your iPhone. The error message should no longer appear.
if that doesn't work,
uninstall itunes and download the lastest version -
I updated my 3GS with the latest update. But it doesn't work. Still I only see the Apple Icon on the display and almost every two minutes I get the sound of resetting/rebooting itself by the phone.
So, what can I do?If iMovie won't start, one thing to try is delete the iMovie Preferences file:
Go to your hard drive Mac HD > Users > (your home folder) > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iMovieApp.plist
Drag that file to the trash, reboot your Macintosh and try to launch iMovie again. Failing that if you can write down the error code and report that back to the Discussion Group someone else might be able to start helping with trouble-shooting the failure. -
I have an error message on my laptop which says " Unknown error occured (1602)" anyone know how to get past this?
Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here. -

my music on my uphone that i bought through itunes keeps jumping around and i cannot play it since i backed up my phone to icloud. Can anyone help me play my music again without it all jumping around. thanks
Backing up to iCloud should have nothing to do with how your music plays. Try force-closing the misic app: from the home screen, double-tap the home button, locate Music in the list at the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap to close it, tap the home button again. Try your music again.

I'm having problems connecting my iphone to itunes. I have the Itunes on my computer but it wont register my phone is connected... Can anyone help please? xx
If your music was purchased within iTunes, then you should be able to get your purchases restored. If it was music you imported, then you must re-import the CD's. So sorry that you lost it all. Most people never back up their data.... even when they talk the talk but never walk the walk. 3 copies, and rotate them. son, father, and grandfather (Old school stuff but if you have a bad disc, the other saves may be your rescue!)
Good luck... -

I can't upload music I have bought from itunes into my music app from itunes - can anyone help
I had an iphone 4 and upgraded to the iphone5 - I am trying to sync my music and for some reason I cannot upload all the music I purchased from itunes - can anyone help here....?
Cheers! There seems to be a problem with the latest iMovie and purchased iTunes songs. The work around until Apple fixes iMovie is to put the song you need in a playlist, burn them to an Audio CD. Now in iMovie either try adding them directly from the CD, at which point they would be copied into the iMovie project as AIFF files or if that doesn't work (I ca not recall if you can add directly from a CD or not) then reimport the songs from the CD to iTunes (AIFF will work for sure and I have never had issues with music in MP3 format with iMovie projects) then use the reimported version in iMovie.
Cheers,
Patrick
