If you mean that the card is being reported as not being properly activated when you go to redeem it, what you normally should do is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They will ask for a scan of the front and back sides of the card as well as a copy of the receipt

This card is a personalized one, the guy that sold it to me said that I could load it with whatever dollars I wanted, so I charged it with 30 dlls. The problem is that when I try to redeem it Itunes Store says that the code is not valid. But I paid for the card and the salesperson slided my credit card on his iphone. I need a solution for this problem.

If you set up an Apple ID already and didn't enter credit card details because you were planning on using gift cards only, you probably set up the account incorrectly. If this is the case, you will have to enter the credit card details even if you want to use only gift cards and download free content only. Yoy will not have to use the card, but you can't use the ID without entering the card details now. You may be able to remove the card as well after the card is verified for use by Apple by editing your account details.

If you decide to create a new ID now, you will new another email address as wel, because the email address that you are currently using will already be associated with the ID that you just set up.

Serial numbers usually begin with the letters "GCA" or "60" and are 16 digits. Some cards may have a serial number that begins with EPY and are 14 digits. One example is shown below.

You just find an app you want to buy and buy it. The money should deduct from the card balance.
If you're afraid of it going on your credit card delete your card. (I'm presuming that you can. I set up my iTunes before you had to have a credit card and all I use are gift cards)
