I purchased an iTunes card, I have entered to code four times correctly, it then told me the card was not activated correctly. What do I do?

If it's saying that it hasn't been activated properly then are you able to take it back to the store that you bought it from and ask them to activate it properly ? Part of the validation for credit cards is that they need to be registered to exactly the same name and address that you have on your iTunes account, which prepaid cards tend not to be. Do you have a proper credit card that you could use ? Or are iTunes gift cards available in your country so that you could try using them as your payment method ?
Until you have a valid payment method on your account and what you owe iTunes has been paid off then you won't be able to download any item from the store, including free apps (and updates to apps).

Connect the iPod to yur syncing computer and restore the iPod via iTunes.. If it asks for the passcode and you can't enter it, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

TS1292 reItunes card says "not activated correctly"... went back to stopurchased, they say it might take 24 hours. Does this sound right? where

I'm trying to REDEEM an itunes gift card.
I get a "card not activated correctly" message.
I go back to the store where purchased, I'm told card was activated, and to just wait 24 hours because Apple's networks are probably busy.
Does this sound right??

A brief and probably non-helpful answer: I know of no way to eliminate your large amount of duplicates other than by repetitive, tedious manual effort.
*There has got to be a simpler way.*

For four days I have been unable to open a lot of documents. When I try I get a message "The document "name" could not be opened. You don't have permission. This has happened to an important letter which I corrected four times. My Mac has altered the name

This problem began when I typed in an address http www etc., making one mistake in the address. I corrected it and then tried to copy the address because it was long (I wanted to be able to acces it another time), and that's when the trouble starrted. I just copt documents to get a new one because it's quicker, but it is unorthodox, I know. Since then whenever I copy a document i cannot open it, and it often puts a gobledegook ending to the document name. I've started emailing texts to myself so as to keep them, but I MUST be able to use documents normally. I hava a MacBook Pro, using OS Mountain Lion 10.8.5. I don't like it. It's fairly new, and has messed up my system of documents : the size is alll wrong and the tabulations are worse than ever. I use text edit because I wanted to use Macdictate because I am handicapped (arthritis and firbomyalgia) but I have never been able to get it to work. Since I changed OS I cannot use Text edit properly any more. Please help me. I think it must be a bug that came through when I was putting this address in four days ago. I went to the site once I'd corrected the address and it was perfectly normal. I shall ring them today and ask them if this has happened to anyone else. I live in France. Thank you for your advice. Because I am handicapped and I do not dirve, it is very difficult to get to a Mac store. I deleted Mac cloud documents because I don't want to use it and I thought it might solve the problem, but it didn"t.

Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. HT1926 I am getting a runtime error. R6034 An application has made an apttempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Plase contact the applications support team for more information. Then it says iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstal

I have un-installed iTunes and I have re-installed it but I am still getting the same errors.

I too was getting the same message regarding R6034. After many frustrating hours I went to the iTunes support page and clicked on "install and update." When that page came up I scrolled on to "removing and reinstalling iTunes......" There they tell you what files need to be removed and what order to do it in so you can reinstall iTunes. My iTunes works now and I didn't lose any music.
About the Apple Mobile Device, well that's one of the files that has to be uninstalled. When you reinstall iTunes the Apple Mobile Device is automatically reinstalled.
Hope this works for you as it did for me. Warning: it takes about an hour to do all this.

Firefox will no open at all it just bounces on the dock a few times and does nothing. Also the crash reporter crashes.

HT4623 I tried to download the ios 6.1.1 and I keep being told it can't download because I'm no longer connected to the internet

When trying to install the ios 6.1.1 update, I get a message saying I can't install because I'm no longer connected to the internet. Every other app that requires internet connection work fine.

METHODS:
A :
Go to settings, then iTunes and apps, click on your Apple ID and then sign out. Sign back in and see if it works.
B :
Double-tap the Home button to bring about the multitasking screen
Navigate to “Settings” then swipe up on the Settings app to send it off the screen, thereby quitting
Go back to the home screen, relaunch Settings, and try to download the update again.
C :
Open Settings and go to “General” followed by “Reset”
Choose “Reset Network Settings” and tap the red text to confirm the reset – this will trash the network configuration and restart iOS
When booted back to the home screen, reconnect to a Wi-Fi network through settings
Install the iOS update as usual

Trying to update pixelmator. Anytime I try it tellsme "To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it." ???????? I have entered my account password several times and nothing happens. Any hints?

I just sign in to my account (the oprevious one, with which I bought Pixelmator was hacked and I changed the Password)
Now,anityme I try to update Pixelmator (V. 2.1) the app store tells me "To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it."
It simply does not work. Any hints?

It used to be that Spotlight had to create an index for the boot volume with the /Applications folder in order for the App Store Update option to work properly. I had a habit of disabling Spotlight for all volumes by adding disk volume names to the Do Not Index list under the Privacy tab in the Spotlight System Preferences panel, so App Store never let me update apps until I turned Spotlight back on. I turned it on until I was able to update the apps, then I'd turn it off again.
I'm currently faced with the same error message (Login with the account you used to buy the free package) but Spotlight is turned on. Apple really goes out of its way to not tell you what account you used to buy something. That's not supposed to be a big deal, I only have a couple accounts. But when I tried them all, App Store refused to let me update using ANY of them.
It's just Xcode. I can just delete the darn thing and buy it again (all 4 GB of it), but this is really annoying!
