TS1292 iTunes Gift Card "Code is Not Valid" !

I tried to use the iTunes Gift card and I get a response:
"The code entered is not valid"
Needless to say I have already spent enough time first figuring out how to "Redeem" a card - primarily due to the sparse directions Apple provides - and lastly - I have now tried various codes from the gift card - with not much success.

Note: iTunes Gift Cards are only Valid in Country of Issue.

You need to do what it says; contact iTunes support via the provided link. We're all just fellow users here - making it very unwise to post your card codes here, this being an open, public forum - and can do nothing to help you with this problem.

It sounds like you are not able to redeem your iTunes gift card. I recommend reviewing the following steps when you are getting an alert message stating that the code is "inactive" or "invalid":
Make sure you've entered the code exactly as it appears on your card. If the code is illegible, try to enter the code as best as you can. Invalid code messages typically mean that the card activation number may have been mistyped. Read your code carefully. The following letters and numbers can look very similar:
The letter A and the letter H
The letter B and the number 8
The letter D and the number 0
The letter E and the number 3
The letter G and the number 6
The letter H and the letter W
The letter J and the number 1
The letter M and the letter N
The letter O and the number 0
The letter P and the letter F

I want to get an itunes gift card just to download whatsapp on my iphone 3gs. I have my credit card but the billing address is in Haiti, unfortunately Haiti is not in your list of countries. How can I get itunes gift card code immediately in order to download that application? No need to wait for shipping, just want to have the code to add it to my apple account.

Sorry, but you can't, if you live in Haiti. As you say yourself, there is no iTunes Store for Haiti and you are not allowed to use the iTunes Store of any other country.
If you live in a country where there is an iTunes Store, check to see if Apple sells physical gift cards in your country and if so purchase and redeem one of those. There is no way to purchase an electronic gift certificate from Apple without a credit card from the country whose iTunes Store you wish to use.

I don't believe Apple has an online store in Israel. You'll have to look elsewhere, where, I can't say. But, the gift card must be purchased in Israel. Could be they are simply not sold there.

They are not available in all countries and they are country-specific - they can only be redeemed and used in their country of issue. If they are available in your country then you might be able to get them from Apple, or from electrical stores, supermarkets, online retailers etc. The field on the screen when creating an account is optional, and if gift cards aren't available in your country then you won't be able to fill it in anyway.

That’s not true at all.
Gift card is the carrier of the key duplicate - copy of the main key to the amount in dollars which in fact is stored on the Apple servers. This key the user of card need to assign to the needed account in Apple system. So if the card is not used the keys are not assigned to anyone.
Gift card in fact is just piece of plastic, it has no value until register - that’s why gift cards are not applicable to sales tax - by purchasing the gift cards you are not purchasing any goods at all.
And i'm very sure that when you purchasing iTunes gift card - it will need to be activated first before giving to purchaser hands - for example in UK where i purchased an iTunes gift card for their local iTunes Store - such cards always come with additional receipt of activation confirmation.
About replacing the lost card or getting the key of it.
This is very complicated thing. Theoretically Apple can easily replace your card or just give you the key of it - because Apple itself storing the keys and manufacture this gift cards. This is all about their will. On every card you can see a text: Not redeemable for cash, no refunds or exchanges (except as required by law). Cards are issued and managed by Apple Value Services, LLC (“Issuer”). Neither Apple nor Issuer is responsible for any loss or damage resulting from lost or stolen cards or use without permission.
So you will need to learn your local laws about refunding or exchanging - to return your money.
I have the same problem - i lost ten unused $100 cards during uninsured shipping and i'm interested at least to deactivate them. This is in fact a big problem with Apple Store system and this is about very Big $$$, not just some smidgen.

Open iTunes on your computer. In the iTunes Store log into your iTunes Store account and view your account. Select Edit Payment Information. In the credit card choices I would choose None. That will remove your Mom's CC info. Next under iTunes Gift Cards and Certificates click the little arrow to redeem your Gift Card. Then follow the instrction to redeem your GC.
You can also do this on your iPod, but it is more complicated to describe how to do it and to actually do it. It is easier to do in the iTunes on your computer.
