Honestly, I'm not sure what could be causing this. It looks like a python error of some sort. You said you get this when you turn on your Macbook, can you tell me anything else? Like what application do you see the error in? Maybe you can provide a screen shot?

You are using PPPoE but there is no server to authenticate against.. or the modem is already connected and nothing else can join.
Is this ADSL?
Do you have the modem in bridge?
How does it work with the modem working as router? ie what type of connection does your ISP supply.. eg PPPoE is only one.. PPPoA is another.. IPoA or ETHoA.. and sever other more specialised.. PPPoE can only work where it is supported.

Select a broken track and press ctrl-i to Get Info. Look on the summary tab for the location where iTunes "thinks" the file should be. Where is it really? Post back the two locations and I can suggest the best approach.

Do you have an Apple-ID? if you do, then you should not have to enter your Address again, and may be able to sidestep the US Zip Code issue.
