TS1314 I had some pictures on an old iPod that everything go erased from befor I could back it up is there a way I could recover them if I don't have the iPod anymore
It was second generation iPod touch they were of a close friend who recently passed away and I would kind of like to have them to remember her.
If you are running the latest version of iTunes on your pc, just go to the iTunes Store. On the right side of the Store home page listed under Quick Links is a link called Purchased. Just give it a click and content (with the exception of movies) that you bought from iTunes with the Apple ID that you are signed into the store with will be listed and available to download again at no charge.

I bought a new iPod 5 generation. And I have music on my old iPod 4 generation and I don't know how to transfer music from my old iPod to my new. And I don't have the CDs anymore to transfer the music.

You need to have those as they are the license to use the music you RIP'd from them. -
I downloaded 2 cds onto my ipod nano through itunes. Recently my itunes account changed for some unknown reason and now it doesn't recognize the songs from the cds. The songs are still on my ipod. I am affraid to sync now because the songs may be deleated, and I don't have the cds anymore. How can I transfer the songs from the cds on my ipod back to itunes so that I don't lose them?
What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not your "account." The "account" you have for iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use when purchasing or downloading from the iTunes Store. If these songs came from music CDs that you imported into iTunes, those songs are not related to your Apple ID.

How are they not "recognized"? Are the songs still listed in your iTunes music library, but grayed out? They no longer appear in your iTunes library at all?
If you search your computer (not in iTunes) for the song files, using one of the song names, can you find the song files? -
I have a 2006 iMac that I've upgraded to each new os as they came out. I just wiped it (for the kids to use, I have a new iMac with Mavericks) and reintalled Tiger from the original discs. I want to get it back to Lion - which I purchased from the Mac App Store. But Tiger doesn't have the App Store and I don't have the discs anymore from the intermediate versions. I tried downloading Lion from the new iMac but it's not available...
Any ideas? To get to the App Store, you need to upgrade the Tiger machine to Snow Leopard.

How can I tell if my iphone 5 is 32gb? I don't have the packaging anymore. I only have the IMEI number.
Look at Settings=>General=>About=>Capacity
What does that show? -
I had files stored on a hard drive that were not on my Mac. I used the hard drive for my first Time Machine back up, but it was not enough hard drive space to finish. Now those stored files are gone. Is there any way I can recover them? No, they were not part of previous Time Machine backups, and I have checked both the hard drive the documents were lost on and the new one that I now use for backups. Any suggestions would be helpful, as the lost files are old pictures that are gone forever. :[ Thanks!
1. Yes, if both drives are formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
2. Reformat the drives if needed, open the Time Machine pane of System Preferences, and remove the drive with the pictures from the list of items set to be excluded.

I can't text a contact but can voice phone them. I don't have the problem with any other contact and the contact is not blocked. I have an iphone5.0 OS 8.1.3. I used to be able to text them with no problem. The only difference I can think is that this problem may have started since I downloaded the OS I am using now

When I forward an email from my Mac Mail, the body of the email I just forwarded shows as an attachment in the recipients outlook. Is there a way to change this so my clients don't have to open an attachment to read something that I forwarded to them?
Open Terminal in Utilties and copy/paste
This will send the attachment embedded inline. (This works in Snow Leopard, but not sure about Lion. Do a test first. If it doesn't work, just google "send attachment embedded + Lion." You don't actually have to send the message to see how it will appear.)
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 0
To reverse the setting, change the 0 to a 1
However, whether this will work or not will depend on what the e-mail client on the receiver's end does with it. -

I had files in my mobil me account that I did not tranfer before I upgraded to cloud. Is there anyway I can get them? They were my travel photos
The migration process is likely to have signed you out in System Preferences>MobileMe and you will need to sign in again. Then you can mount your iDisk on the Desktop (command-shift-i). Or you can access your files at http://me.com/idisk.

I had my iphone synced to my PC but everything got erased from my PC.So can i sync my iphone again to another or same PC again?
Hello CathyRox,
Yes you can sync them to another computer or to the same one, but since it will effectively be a new iTunes library, you will be prompted to transfer purchases or erase and sync. You can transfer your purchases to get the content back on your computer, and this article will help with that.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer

As far as your calendars, contacts, reminders and notes, if you you are not already using icloud, I would sign into iCloud and sync that content to the Cloud so no data is lost.

Additionally, I think it would also be a good idea to backup your phone to your computer as well.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities
Take care,

I accidently deleted the videos that i used to make my movie on imovie and now i can't export the movie i created and i don't have the videos i filmed anymore.
It says:
Missing media
The following Event used in this project is not currently available
The portions of the project which reference this Event will show black frames.
The following audio file used in this project is not currently available
The portions of the project which reference this file will be silent.

Deactivate Adobe 5.5 Suite--but I don't have the computer anymore?
I apparently need to deactivate the software that was on my previous computer before I can reinstall it on my new one, but the problem is: my computer crashed and is no longer available. So how do I deactivate the software when I don't have the computer to begin with? @
contact adobe support and request an activation count reset, http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service1.html

So my old ipod broke two years ago. I got an ipod classic and synched it to my itunes library on my macbook. Then I had problems with my macbook and had to restore it to factory settings. I have kept my eyes open for a way to get my music backed up in my itunes again cuz I figured this ipod would probably break someday too. Anyway now when I look at my 160g ipod classic, it says I have 0 songs, and 0 videos but 27.3g of "other". I looked around for a solution and I tried updating my itunes and then I plugged my ipod in and it said I needed to restore it to factory settings using itunes. I'm not gonna do that. For the most part I have come across this problem with solutions for pc users and I have a MACBOOK. Anyway I haven't even had my ipod hooked up to my computer for a while because I haven't added any new music and when I charge it, I just hook it up to my iphone charger. This literally happened overnight. I mean there is some stuff on there that is irreplaceable. PLEASE HELP!
p.s. Dumb it down a bit for me.Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password.
