TS1337 I don't see [Preferences] or [Change Disk] when I click on Time Machine

I need to change my backup volume for Time Machine. But I don't see [Preferences] or [Change Disk] when I click on Time Machine from the System Preferences.

By default, Time Machine will back up your entire system. If you're sure it's only backing up one folder, you (or someone) must have excluded all sorts of other things. Click the Options button on the Preferences window to see the exclusion list.

I suspect your whole Mac really is getting backed-up, but you're just not seeing them. What you see in the "Star Wars" display depends on what's on your screen when you Enter Time Machine. If you have a Finder window showing just that sub-folder, when you Enter Time Machine that's all you'll see.
If you start with a Finder window showing, say, your home folder, that's what you'll see in the "Star Wars" display. If your Finder windows have sidebars, once in Time Machine you can select other things in the sidebar to display.
You might want to review the Time Machine Tutorial, and perhaps browse Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #15A.

I too added 2nd apple ID when I tried to get Free app from apple store just to get to NONE on the credit card needed. It said it sent confirmation email to my new apple ID email that I have to confirm. Problem is I can not get to the new apple ID email account. On my ipad it logs into my original email account and I see no where to log into another email account. If I go to my laptop, the new apple ID I created does not let me log into email where apple said it was sent to. It did not send to back up email account either.

I don't see the last addm findings when I enter in Enterprise Manager. The Snapshots are being taken periodically but when I enter the Home of Enterprise Manager I don't see the findings of ADDM. I can run manually ADDM but in fact the ADDM is run every hour. Any idea?

looks like that you cannot upload the xml files from your agent
you can try to perform a clean restart of your agent :
1) emctl stop agent
2)Remove the following files:
$AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/state/*
$AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/collection/*
$AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/upload/*
$AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/lastupld.xml
$AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/agntstmp.txt

3) emctl start agent
4) emctl clearstate agent

How do I change the name I have called my MacBook Air so I can add 11" and 13" into the title of whose computer this is for more clarity when I set up Time Machine and save to it with both computers? Both are named with "my name and MacBook Air"

I'm still learning the whole Mac thing but these are great machines! I purchased a MacBook Air 13" and then thought I should also get a MacBook Air 11" for travel. When I set it up at the Apple store I told the assistant the exact same name for each machine, i.e., "my name and MacBook Air." What I want to do is go back in and rename both of them adding the 11" and 13" designation to the name so that when I set up Time Machine or whatever else I know exactly which machine is what. I'm sure it is very simple but I cannot seem to figure it out. Help please. Thanks.

Go to System Preferences - Sharing and change the computer name there. You can also, optionally, change the name of your hard drive to further clarify the origin of your backups. Click once on the "Macintosh HD" on your desktop, then click its name to allow you to edit it.

The key to all this is to click on/select/highlight the Album that you have created in Local Albums.
Then make sure that the Sort By: (in the row below the highlighted "Media" header is set for Album Order.
You should see a number at the top left of each of thumbnails.
Then, click on the thumbnail that you want to move, hold down the click, and drag the thumbnail to the wanted new location
in the line up of thumbnails.
Often I had to press down hard on the drag.
Please let us know if that worked for you.
Also, in Edit Menu/Preferences/Keyword Tags and Albums/Enable Manual Sorting Options, I set all for manual.

that is odd! that should not be happening.
Are you syncing your songs right off of itunes itself? because it should be syncing over to the ipod however it is listed in itunes.

Time Machine is backup, not an archive. You should not use it to keep permanent copies of things you have deleted from your main disk. Once the original is gone, the Time Machine copy will not last forever. If you want to keep a permanent copy of a photo "offline", you must make a copy of it somewhere.

Thank you. There is a bigger issue. It is not the web page that is the problem. It is that I can see my mouse moving and can move it along the bottom toolbar and the options will highlight but I can't click on anything. I can see the apple icon to get to force quit but cant click on it.
I used your suggestion and force quit came up but I can't select the option to force quit... not even with my arrows and enter/return key. Any other thoughts?

Sounds like a possible permissions issue, try repairing the permissions using Disk Utility.
You can open Disk Utility several ways.
1. Use the Spotlight in the Upper Right corner of the screen and search for it, then click it to open it.
2. Open a new finder window (File> New Window)
- Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility
3. Click on the Finder
- Click 'Go' in the menu bar across the top of the screen.
- Click Utilities, then double click on Disk Utility.
Once Disk Utility is open there should be a column on the left side, the name of your hard drive should be listed there.
(By Default it is named Mac HD or Macintosh HD)
Click on it to highlight it.
There should then be a few buttons you can click
- Verify Disk Permissions
- Repair Disk Permissions
- Verify Disk
- Repair Disk
Click Repair Disk Permissions

First check, if you do not accidentally have hidden or filtered your loops:
Uncheck the "Filter for more relevant results" option in the Audio tab of the GarageBand Preferences.
And the drop down menu on top of the Loop Browser should be set to "Loops", not to some Jam Pack or other collection.
If you still don't see any loops, check if you have set your project to a special signature, like 9/8, for that no standard loops do exist.
Then check, if any loops actually are installed in your system Library: Depending on your GarageBand version you should find the standard loops in the Audio folder of your system Library (Application Support > GarageBand):
Your System Drive > Library > Audio > Apple Loops
If the Loops are installed, but GarageBand does not show them, you need to rebuild your Apple Loops Index: See the FAQ for how to do it:
Re-Index GarageBand's Loops
This requires two steps:
erase the old Apple Loops Index by deleting everything in
Your System Drive > Library > Audio > Apple Loops Index
and then rebuilding the Loops Index by dragging the folder containing all of your loops onto the Loop Browser in GarageBand.
If no Loops are installed in your Library, you will have to restore them from your Backup.
