TS1347 HOW DO I SYNC MICROSOFT WORKS CALENDER

I have an iPhone 3GS.
I use Microsoft Works Calender on my PC.
I want to sync. this calender with my iPhone, but when I go into "Info" in iTunes it says there is no suitable calender to sync. with.
How do I get iTunes to see the Works calender, so that I can sync it with my iPhone?

when you connect the phone to the computer
and start itunes and click on the phone under devices
and then click on the info tab
you can see which calender types itunes can work with
if you google a bit you can most likely find some guide or program which can transfer your calender from the works app to some of the apps itunes support syncing calender with and get it don that way

"Will the Apple TV now read directly from the Time Capsule?" ATV does not 'read' from the TC. It connects to the Mac and itunes library associated with the Mac. Of course the itunes program can 'point' to a library on the TC. You'll still need to have itunes open and the Mac powered on and not sleeping with the TC mounted to the Desktop to use ATV properly. So bottom line the use of TC just adds one more step to view files on the ATV.

when I sync my phone it can not sync calender as I do not have outlook. I want to sync to works but in options screen although it says it will sync to a chosen application it only shows outlook as an option and I cant change it ....does anyone know if it is possible and how to do this ......

I have the same problem using Windows 7 and Windows Live mail 2011.
My solution is to move the SIM-card from N8 to my old N95 and use the calendar in PC-suite.
I hope there will be a solution soon. If not the only way is to buy a new phone compatible with Windows Live Mail from another company. A working calendar is essential for most people.

How can i sync an ics calender file from a server with the apple calender

Hey guys,
I want to sync an ics calender file wich is stored on an network partition on a windows pc.
The ics file is done with Lightning(an Addon for Thunderbird).
Please help me i don't want to install thunderbird on my MacBook Air...
With sync i mean that the calender file syncs every minute like a push service...

This functionality is not yet built into LabVIEW.
About all you can do is cut and paste the help for each control into the description for the control. It is tedius but a finite task.

How does the sync process work?

I want to know what will happen if both the local and network homes have been modified for a period of two weeks and then the user chooses to synch? Will the sync process ask which 'home' is the most recent or will it replace older files with newer files?
How does the sync process manage the task of keeping both sides the same?

If a file exists on both the local and the network directory it will pop up with a conflict and ask how to resolve it.
If the file is only on the local machine and in a place you have not excluded from syncing it just syncs.
If the file has been previously synced but there has been no change to the file since last sync I think it just rewrites the file to the server homedir... (Don't quote me on this one... it might not even bother with it, I'm not sure how smart the sync service is)
You can set automatic conflict resolution within WGM but as far as I know you have to do it by clicking on preferences then switching to the details tab, then click on Home Sync....com.apple.homesync. Click on the Always drop down and click the add new key button then change the new key to either Login or Logout Non-Preference sync conflict resolution and or Background sync conflict resolution and decide if MobileHome or NetworkHome Wins...or copy. In most cases I would think that you would want the MobileHome to Win.. of course there is always potential for someone to make a huge mistake on a file and pray its still fine on the server but... your call.

You don't need Outlook to sync contacts. You do have Windows Contacts available which is a supported address book application for syncing contacts with the iPhone.
Windows Live Mail is not an email client. Windows Live Mail is an email account that can be accessed via webmail access using a browser or with an email client such as with Outlook or Windows Mail on a PC.
You can export your Windows Live Mail contacts from your Windows Live Mail online address book for import into the Windows Contacts address book application on your PC which is supported for syncing contacts with your iPhone.

I have been trying to work out how to keep my 'work' calendar separate to my 'family' calendar. I have an Outlook calendar at work, and would really like to have it shown in my iCloud as a work calendar, and keep it separate from my family calendar, cause I don't want everyone at work to see what my family plans are at the weekend
The problem is that if I sync my Outlook calendar at work using iTunes, it will sync it to my main iCloud calendar where all my family entries are, and this will 'publish' all my private calendar entries at work....
Anyone managed to set this up so that they can be synced separately. This would be really cool.

When you connect your iPad in iTunes, click on your iPad below "DEVICES", then click the tab "Info" and define on that page what you want to do.

Make sure you have all your contacts in Outlook. Then go to your Contacts tab on your iPod Manager and select the program you have (either Outlook or Outlook Express) then click apply and sync your iPod, this should work.

I have finally my ipod touch. I really like it, not perfect of course but then if it would be , would be boring isnt it ?
It syncs well with my outlook contacts but i dont know..
does it overwrite my outlook with info on my touch? or it overwrite my touch with info on outlook ? or it completes both with new info i add?
like if i cancel a contact on my touch will it be cancelled next time i sync in my outlook? or the cancelled contact would go back to my touch from outlook?

Also , is there any way that my pictures wouldnt get transformed to super small size.... as quality gets worst...lot worst

I used to be able to drag songs I wanted to sync to an iPod touch. Now I can't figure out how to do it in the latest update.

From the main iTunes window, select 'music' from the drop down menu at the top left side. Then, simply drag and drop your music files onto the window. iTunes should then bring in the tunes which will be loaded onto you iPod when you next sync (as long as you have 'Entire music library' selected in the iTunes iPod tab.

ITunes DOES NET sync Microsoft Outlook calender anymore.

Since 11.1.4. Itunes always freezes on synching Outlook contacts. I tried almost everything.
every new Itunes version, Office 2010 and Office 2013, Un- und reinstalling all Apple Software. Deleting "Roaming\Apple Computer\"-folder and rebuild
deleting all calendar entries in Outlook, reset sync in Itunes.
.. DID NOT help.

What can be the problem?

Before upgrading at 11, in my case the personal calendars was synced with ICloud because i would like to manage my appointements in all devices (and also my Business PC), and also i transferred the Enterprise Exchange Calendar in my iphone by Itunes with usb connection.
So i can't disabled ICloud sync, because i lose functionalities, but i can't import in my Iphone the Work Calendar coming from Exchange Server.
So for me the problem is real, and i think that unfortunately no workaround, seems to be available.
I hope that Apple consider that aspect, and fix it.

We just updated to the Mountain Lion software on the iMac and now i would like to be able to look and even create new appointments on my caldendar on the iMac and see them on my iPhone. Is this possible??

Yes. On your Mac log into you iCloud account in the System/iCloud preference pane and make sure Calendars and Reminders are checked:
On your iPhone log into the same iCloud account and make sure Calendars are turned on:
Then entries on either device will by synced to the other.
