I had the same issue. I just went to the Apple Store today to talk to someone about it. They had me delete the account and then add it back in. It's been working fine ever since!

I am tring to import files into Aperture, permanently, from files on my desktop. Aperture will import them, but when I take those files away from the desktop they also then leave Aperture? Help appreciated thanks joanlvh
You can seelct to leace the files where they are, copy into Aperture or else put them someplace else on the HD.

Since I uploaded the new OS X Mavericks the App Store, Messages, Notes, Calendar, Maps and Preview will not launch/open. In Finder cannot find my files. Most crucially cannot upgrade OS X Mavericks software. I had two apple ID's, the old one not used
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2. -

I'm trying to get my old information (apps, music) from my iphone that was previously on a different account to sync on a new account. I just got a new macbook pro and got a new account to go with it. Now i have tried to homeshare the accounts and drag the music over to download it onto this new account but i can't get the homesharing to work because it says the password doesn't match even though i have used the same one to log on and off of homesharing on my mom's account. I have recently tried to back up my phone onto this new account and it asks if i want to authorize it and asks for the password for my mom's account. I have the password but i am hesitant to authorize it with my mom's apple ID and password because i don't want her account to be on this computer. I want it to be my own account just with my personal music from my iphone on it. I dont know if it will just sync my iphone's information to my new account or just add my mom's apple ID account to my itunes on my computer. What should i do to get my information from my iphone from my mom's account onto my new account? Thank youThat number is for an apple server in the UK that is used for iMessage activation. A hidden SMS is snet to that number when you turn iMessage on and is used to verify your phone number. I suggest you turn iMessage off. In settings/phone turn on dial assist. Check with your carrier to see if you can send an international SMS as you end that possibility to activate iMessage. Rest your phone (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).) then turn iMessage back on.

I am having problem with signing in i do have icloud id but the password that i am putting in is not working.I do have 2 phones and I only use 1 icloud id and 1 email, so when i tried to resend email i did received it but when i created new password it still did not work.Please help me.
2 ways- 1, from a backup, or 2- if you sign in to icloud from your computer you should be able to get any data you had synced with icloud.
Your other iphone thats using the same ID should also have access to that data. But if the data was not synced or backed up, then no. -
With my updates i have lost all of my Audio books that I have purchased and when I look it up it doesnt come up that I purchased any. They were all purchased from iTunes. I had about 16 Audiobooks.
How can I get them backAudiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store - I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them that are requiring the one-time only download. Do you have copies of them in the Books part of your computer's iTunes library or on your backup of your downloads ? If you haven't got copies of them on your computer and Apple let you redownload them then take a backup copy of them and anything else that you've downloaded from the store - even with apps, ibooks, music etc there is no guarantee that they will remain in the store for future re-downloading (content providers occasionally remove their items from the store). -
I have been backing up my iPhone and iPad through the iCloud.
Recently my iPhone 4 was stolen but had recently been backed up. I am trying to find the Notes on that iPhone through the icloud.com.
When I go onto icloud.com, I can only see the iPad Notes - not the iPhone Notes.
Can anyone help?

GWere both devices sync'ing their notes to iCloud? Or was one set to sync, and the other just to backup?
If you look in settings -> iCloud you needed to have the slider by Notes "ON" for both devices if you wanted to sync notes between both of them and iCloud. In that case, notes on each would be identical, and the same as you can view in the Notes app on www.iCloud.com
If you had the Notes slider "OFF" and the iCloud Backup option "ON" then your notes should be in your backup and restoreable, but you will not see them online in the Notes app there. -

unfortunately, the music feature is currently available in the US only, so if you're located elsewhere, your only option would be to restore the missing files from the backup you surely have created?! -
It seems that i have no problem with other contacts, but with 1 of my best friend, i only can send a SMS by creating a new message. When i try to answer to one of his SMS (like a discussion), my message can not be send. My friend use a Blackberry on SFR Network in France. I m connected to Orange Network in France
Check your phone to make sure MMS is turned on. If it is, check with your cell provider and make sure your phone is provisioned correctly.
