TS1347 My iPhone shows appointments a day early when synced with Outlook Calendar...

Hi,
When I sync my iPhone calendar with Outlook, all the appointments appear a day earlier.
I have looked up earlier discussions on this topic, followed the instructions and have not yet found a resolution.  I have checked all time zones including Outlook, Windows, iPhone time settings and iphone calendar settings and they are all showing the same timezone.
I have read around and some people believe it is because we in New Zealand are in GMT +13hours (at the moment) and the iPhone calendar settings somehow don't cater for this properly.
Either way I have tried all previously suggested solutions and am now wondering if a solution to this had been found by someone, or it has been fixed by Apple.
Thanks for your help,
Sue

Tap the rectangle over the 2 lines and make sure it no longer shows up in red. At this point, you should have only the month view, no daily appointments below. Now press on a specific day, and this will either:
1. Take you into the daily view with the hourly breakdown. If this is the case, tap the three horizontal lines at the top to get the list.
2. Take you directly to the list view

  • IPhone "moves" appointments 1 hour early upon sync w/Outlook 2007

This is driving me crazy. When I create an appointment in Outlook then sync to iPhone, it changes the appointment time to one hour earlier on the phone - but the time remains them same in Outlook.
Further, if I create an appointment on iPhone then sync to Outlook it works fine - UNTIL I sync again, then it will shift that same appointment one hour earlier.
Yes, I can trust Outlook for the correct time - but I'm not at my PC 90% of the time. And I usually make appointments months in advance so trying to remember which one is actually correct is almost impossible.
Any help or secret magical formulas for creating appointments would be greatly appreciated!

Don't know if you found a solution but I had a coworker who was having the same issue and we worked out the solution that worked for him.
I wrote it up on my blog: http://weblog.techdad.net/2008/08/27/fix-it-outlook-calendar-and-iphone-calendar -events-hours-not-synched-correctly/
LMK if this fix works for you!

  • Anyone else haveing a problem with appointments not syncing, duplicate appointments when syncing with Outlook? Also, noticed that my primary SMTP disappeared, and I had to re-establish to send e-mail. Apple tech support was worthless.

Anyone else haveing a problem with appointments not syncing, duplicate appointments when syncing with Outlook? Noticed the problem a couple of days ago.
Also, noticed that my primary SMTP disappeared, and I had to re-establish to send e-mail.
Apple tech support was worthless on both issues.

Hi I am also in the UK, but not with Tiscali and am having the exact same problems. I can also send with wifi, but not 3G. I have tried amending all sorts of settings, including those above and amending the smtp server to the settings for my provider, but all to no avail.
It is thoroughly frustrating, as I cannot send emails unless I have wifi access.
Any further suggestions would be very welcome.

  • IPhone 3G not Syncing with Outlook Calendar 2007

Can anyone help, since updating iTunes to version 8.1.0.52 my iPhone will not sync with Outlook Calendar 2007. I have deleted itunes and re-installed as per Apples instructions and this has no effect. Everything was fine up to the point of updating iTunes. iPhone syncs with everything else just fine.
    Regards
    Phil

I am having the same problem since last update. I thought it was my wife's sync with a Nokia but after deleting that sync it still is not happening and trying to sync the calendar events for hours. Would love for iTunes to fix the problem.
Does anyone know if you can download an old version of iTunes? Regards Lee

  • How can I sync my iphone to my home computer (to sync with itunes music) AND my work computer (to sync with Outlook calendar)?

How can I sync my iphone to my home computer (to sync with itunes music) AND my work computer (to sync with Outlook calendar)?

Sorry iphones are meant to be sync to one iTunes media library.
You could copy your music and put it on your work computer and then sync it.
If you try to sync to one and then sync to other its going to wipe the phone and remove the old sync with the new sync.

I would love to do this as well. All I need is my calendar appts from outlook. Right now I am using google calendar sync, but I would like to move to the cloud and away from google. I find it hard to believe there isn't an option to do this.

  • My iphone won't sync with outlook calendar

My iphone 4 won't sync with my Outlook 2007 calendar.  It was working fine a couple of days ago and now it won't sync!!  Help!!!!

Does iTunes Show an error message?
How did you setup syncing with Outlook, are you syncing them via iTunes using USB or Wi-Fi or an Exchange server?
For more info on USB syncing and all of the other options, take a look at this Apple doc -> iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
If you aren't sure try setting up USB syncing again, just connect the iPhone to the computer, open iTunes, click the Info tab across the top of the screen, scroll down to Contacts and choose to sync contacts.
    Contacts
To sync contacts with your computer, choose  "Sync Contacts with" within iTunes for Windows, or "Sync Address Book Contacts" on your Mac.
You can sync your contacts with:
Microsoft Outlook 2003, Microsoft Outlook 2007, Microsoft Outlook 2010 (Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7)
    Windows Address Book (Windows XP)
Windows Contacts (Windows Vista / Windows 7)
    Address Book (Mac OS X)
Microsoft Entourage 2004, Microsoft Entourage 2008, or Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac
Note:  If using Microsoft Entourage, use Microsoft Entourage 2008 12.1.2 or later  if syncing with Mac OS X v10.6 or later. If you would like to sync data on your Mac with Entourage, enable syncing between Entourage and Address Book.
    Notes:
When syncing contacts, you can choose to sync all of your contacts or only selected groups. The option to sync selected items may not show up until after the first sync.
You can select a group of contacts to which all new contacts created on your iOS device will be added.
Additional options for syncing include syncing your contacts with Yahoo or Gmail/Google Mail.  You will need to configure it with the user name and password for your Yahoo or Google account.

  • IPhone won't sync with Outlook calendars

My iPhone was set up and syncing fine with my work email address (Outlook 2010). Then I had a second email account added to my Outlook so that I could get within an agency's address book and such. Once that happened, it stopped syncing. I've tried clicking in iTunes to "Replace information on this iPhone" and resetting the sync history. No dice. I've tried uninstalling iTunes and Apple device support and reinstalling, and that didn't help. In iTunes I have the choice of All calendars or Select calendar, but only one calendar (called "Calendar") is my option, and it doesn't sync either of my Outlook calendars.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

Just to add to this. Another thing I thought of, is:
If your outlook is connecting to an Exchange server (this includes hotmail services, MSN services and Live services) did you set up the iPhone mail account as 'exchange too'?
If so, the iTunes won't need to sync mail data, calendars and tasks with your iPhone as all of this data is stores centrically on the server. Your iPhone only pulls the last 'x amount of days' OR the exchange server pushes the last 'x amount of days' worth of data.
Because of this, there is nothing to sync. When you add a contact to iCal on the iPhone, it should sync with the server. IF NOT, check yours ync settings on the iphone mail, calendars and contacts setting for that particular account.
OTHER SCENARIO: This applies to WebDAV calendars too.
OTHER SCENARIO No 2: Read my previous post. If that doesn't work, then I would suggest referring to Microsofts Outlook KB's about external programs being blocked access to Outlooks Calendars Stores.

  • IPhone 3G doesn't sync with Outlook calendar using Exchange

First, let me just say I don't need push email, push contacts or push calendar. I just want my iPhone to sync with my existing Outlook 2007 setup like any other PDA would via ActiveSync, without having to rely on iPhone Enterprise Integration.
There are lots of articles in the knowledge-base and forum that describe how to overcome corruption of PST files, but if you're connecting to an Exchange server you'll notice that you might not even have a PST file. Outlook uses OST files for off-line cache instead and creating a PST as your default storage will cause all of the Exchange content to be delivered to your computer and erased from the server. (not good)
I've looked over all the support articles I could find, tried innumerable variations of install / re-install / disable Outlook plug-ins / start with brand new user attempts to no avail. I still have not found a way around this issue.
I know this is possible because my previous phone (a Treo700w) was able to sync contacts and my calendar without any issues and I naturally expected my iPhone to have *at least* the same capabilities.
Feels like a major design flaw for business users. Now I'm stuck with a super slick phone that doesn't do the number 1 thing I need it to do: sync with my Outlook calendar. Sorry for the rant.
Anyone else having an issue with this? As far as I can tell there's no solution posted for it.

MeatX2, I had read that article already. It describes how to overcome corrupt PST files which doesn't apply in my case.
My primary Outlook file is an OST (off-line cache) and my contacts / calendar are stored on an Exchange server. I could create a PST file and set it as the default storage, but that would cause all of my data to be delivered directly to my Outlook and erased from the server (where it is currently backed up and available from multiple computers, my desktop, laptop, etc).
Doesn't seem like Apple has a solution for syncing from OST files like other PDAs do. The only alternative seems to be their Enterprise Integration product which (despite doing cool things like push email, contacts and calendar) isn't something an end-user can install.
I just need iTunes to sync with my Outlook in the same way my old PDA did. Seems a little absurd that Apple would pitch Outlook sync capabilities and miss such a significant use-case completely.
But thanks for the reply anyway...

  • HT1386 Just downloaded the newest version of Itunes.  Now my Iphone 4s won't sync with Outlook calendar.  Has any one else seen this?

Just downloaded the newest version of Itunes.  Now my Iphone 4s won't sync with Calendar in XP Outlook.  Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it?  I've already made sure the proper check boxes are on in Itunes and tried the reset sync history.  Also re-downloaded Itunes again.  Same problem.

Well, OSX 10.9.2 is free, which should solve the iTunes problem, but 10.9.2 isn't bug free, & you'll lose the ability to run any PPC Apps if that important, as well as needing to update many Apps & Printer Drivers.

  • Calendar entries on iphone not syncing with outlook calendar

Items that I entered on my iphone calendar are not syncing with my outlook calendar on my office pc.  Outlook entries are appearing on iphone calendar, however.  Used to work, now doesn't.  Recently updated iphone software.  Could this be the problem?

i had same problem. everything worked fine backing up iphone to macbook pro and Ical until IOS 5 upgrade, then selective entries on Iphone wouldn't backup to Ical despite repeated attempts. I did what you did, turned off calander iCloud feature so it backs up only to MacBook and it seems to have solved problem.

  • Getting duplicate contact info on my iphone 4s when syncing with outlook 2010

I'm having duplicate phone numbers show up on my iPhone 4s when I sync to my Outlook contacts via iTunes.  I've tried deleting the duplicate on my phone, but then when I go back to Outlook contacts I find the phone number has been deleted.  Any ideas?

I have a Macbook Pro OS X 10.9.3, iTunes 11.4, Outlook for Mac 2011 14.4.4 I can not get my iPhone 5S to sync with Outlook calendar.  I have read through many forums and most posts are regarding PC users.  Any help would be great!  Thanks!

Sync with Outlook is not supported in Mavericks.

  • I can hardly believe my old school Palm Pre was much friendlier than the IPhone.  I have had it for more than six months and still cannot sync my Outlook calendars and contacts.  I get a message like, "no calendar application  identified."    help!

My old school palm pre was much friendlier than the IPHONE 3G.  I was able to sync my outlook calendars and contacts via wi-fi effortlessly.  I tunes did sync once or twice in the six months that I have had it, but more often it acts like it is syncing and ultimately delivers a message like "no calendar application is supported".  Why the back and forth.  Very frustrating after literally hours of trying to sync my phone with my Outlook calendar and contacts.  HELP!!!!

What version of MS Office do you have installed? Have you tried re-installing office over top of itself? It may not be properly registered with the OS.
