TS1363 how do i get my phone to stop its timeout
i attempted to back up my phone but instead it tried to sync and not it timed out and i can not connect to backup - how do i stop the timeout

I will tell you how I fixed it.
Note: I have iTunes in spanish so I will try to translate and figure out the commands that appear on ITunes in english. I will put my translations into brackets. English is not my native language. I will do my best.
The workaround is:
1.- Dragg no working songs from iTunes to a folder on the hard disk. (Only for backup purposes)
2.- Deleted those songs from iTunes library.
3.- On the left panel in ITunes click on "Purchased" under the STORE option. All your purchased songs will appear on the right panel
4.- At the bottom and right there is the option : "Download Previous Purchases". Click there.
5.- Click on the option "Are not in my Library" (top right)
6.- The songs you deleted from iTunes will appear.
7.- Downloaded them again. (You have the option to download at the bottom right)
8.- Syncronize your iPhone and that's all. -

On my old Macbook whenever I would sync my iphone, if I had changed something on the calendar it gives me the option to choose between the computer event or the iphone event (so lets say I'm out and I changed the time of my appointment on my phone, when I get home and sync my phone I choose to keep the time I changed it to on my phone, not what's on my computer).
Now... what's happening is I'm getting the message: syncing your contacts will change more than 5% of the contacts on the COMPUTER. So that means, all the bulk changes I just made in address book on the computer are going to get deleted and replaced with what is originally on the phone. That's not what I want. I want to change what's on the phone with the changes I made on the computer in address book. Make sense? How do I do that? Because I don't necessarily want to wipe out everything on the phone because I don't know if that has been transferred to the address book... So If I added some phone numbers within the last month (i don't remember the last time I synced my phone), then I would loose them if I chose to replace information on the phone with what's on the computer (there's an option to do that under info when syncing).
Does that make sense? Please let me know it this is at all confusing. I'm really trying to resolve this before Saturday early morning ... My mom is going out of town and it's her work phone, so I need to figure this out for her. Thanks a bunch!mnjclark,
I'm glad to hear that you have found a work-a-round so that your device works while making calls meanwhile being connected to Bluetooth to your automobile.
At this time, based on the way the device was manufactured, there is no setting available that will allow this change to be permanent. When the device is rebooted, the settings may be adjusted which will require you to manually change back to CDMA only mode if needed.

How do I get my phone to finish its software update without connecting to itunes?
I just updated my Iphone 4 to the most recent version of IOS 6 and after the software was loaded my phone prompted me to connect to itunes. How do I get my phone to stop repeating the same song over and over?
I have looked everywhere, including settings and itunes and I cant seem to get it off repeat and let me just play an album in the normal fashion
The control for repeating a selection is available when the Music app is open and the iPhone is in the portrait position. There are three settings Off, repeat one song and repeat album or playlist. You change the setting by tapping the icon.

On trying to upgrade iOS on iphone 3gs my phone just shows symbols to connect to itunes. Done that. tried to upgrade and restore but just keep getting message that there is a problem (-1). It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back. -
I went thru upgrade to ios7, then a few days later there was an alert in settings, so I clicked on the update to THAT upgrade... then my phone went black... no turning off or on. So I plugged into my PC and it will only show an iTunes logo a small white arrow up and then a pic of hte cord attached.... computers won't recognize phone, but sometimes show a 'device' there, but no opening anything... and it shows NO device driver for apple iphone. what's happened??? How can I get the phone numbers in contacts to appear with dashes between the first 3 numbers, the next 3 numbers, and the last 4 numbers? Until very recently
it did so. Contacts on my macbook pro does show up this way. I do have a mobile me account and in the past syncing was no problem. What setting has changed?The phone number format as well as the date language and format and the time format are controlled by the Region Format setting. Go to Settings > General >International > Region Format. When you change a region format, you can go back one page (to International) and see an example of the date/time/phone number format that your selected region format will produce.
