i cannot find my iphone on my itunes on my computer. When i run the connectivity diagnostic it does not find my iphone. What do i do?

It sounds like your iPhone is not being seen in iTunes anymore. I recommend the troubleshooting steps from the article named:

Here is an overview of the troubleshooting to be done:
1. Update iTunes
2. Check the USB cable
3. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
4. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service
5. Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed
6. Check for third-party software conflicts
If the issue persists, try uninstalling iTunes and its associated apps with either of these two articles depending on your operating system version:

TS1363 i cannot sync my iphone 4 with itunes

I upgraded my phone cotract from iphone4 to iphone5s. I last updated my iphone on itunes in november last year and now when i try to setup my new iphone5s with my apple id some of contents were missing so i tried to sync my iphone with icloud as Apple team suggested but failed. so the i try to sync my old iphone with itunes but itunes wont show or recognise my iphone.

When you set a Gmail account you just need to enter your email account and password. It is impossible you enter the right information but it says "wrong". Double check it.
If you mentioned "iPhone ID" as your Apple ID, you can find it going to Settings>> iCloud. Check if you already sign in to. If not, sign in with your Apple ID and password. If you haven't created one, you can do it there.

It will only be where you put it.
If for some reason you failed to transfer it to your computer from your iphone before updating, then it is gone, unless you live in one of the countries that allows redownloads:

If you are in a country where music can be redownloaded then it should show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage - that it where you can redownload items (as long as they remain in the store).

Do you mean that iTunes doesn't recognize your phone when you plug it into your computer using the usb to dock cable? If so, see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538. (And yes, you need to use the usb to dock cable that came with your phone. If you dont' have it you'll have to buy another one.)
