TS1363 IPOD classic not baing recognised in itunes, can anyone help me please?

i habve an ipod classic when i first used it it was fine but then it started stopping syncing half way through saying there was an error and my songs would cut off half way through or just not play now when i connect it to the computer it dosent show up in itunes but does in my computer. i messege in my itunes pops up saying i need to restore my ipod yet my ipod dosent show up in itunes to do this. i have tried uninstalling intunes and reinstalling it again i have tried using a different laptop but nothing works can anyone help me please?

TS1363 iPod classic no longer recognised in iTunes (v11)

I have an 80gb iPod classic that, since I upgraded iTunes to the latest version in December 2012, no longer gets recognised within iTunes, so I cannot sync it anymore.
I am running a PC on windows 7, with iTunes v11 (the latest version as I have removed and replaced it several times in the last 24 hours).
My PC does recognise the iPod in "My Computer".
I have spent hours trying all sorts of Apple Troubleshooting guides, to no avail.
First I tried the reset: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/classic/
Then I went through each of these steps: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1363
I've also tried various different apple USB cables, and different USB ports on my PC.
My iPhone 4 connects no problem.
My iPod Classic used to connect no problem until I downloaded the latest / current version of iTunes.
Other than not being able to sync my ipod with itunes, the ipod works and behaves totally normal...
VERY frustrating. PLEASE help.

I have recently upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8.1 Professional however, now my iPad and iPhone are not recognised in iTunes. Many thanks for your prompt reply however, I found this post and it worked perfectly. I hope it helps other users.
Plug your Ipad USB cable into USB port.
Go to your Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, then click Device Manager.
Click on Portable Devices, and you should see Apple Ipad shown (or whatever apple device your using).
Right-click the Apple Device your using, and choose Update Driver Software..
Click "Browse my computer for driver software."
Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer."
Click the Have Disk button. (If the Have Disk option is not present, choose a device category such as Mobile Phone or Storage Device if listed, and click next. The Have Disk button should then appear.)
In the "Install from Disk" dialog, click the Browse button.
Use this window to navigate to the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.
Double-click the "usbaapl" file. (This file will be called "usbaapl64" if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. If you don't see "usbaapl64" here, or if there is no Drivers folder, look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. instead).
Click OK in the "Install from Disk" dialog.
Click Next and finish the driver-installation steps. Open iTunes to verify that the device is recognized properly.

Have you checked if your Earphones are working?
Do you get the Music menu after the reset? (what is display on the Screen? song playing)
Normally if you Reset the iPod, it will turn the shuffle mode off, but do check under setting that shuffle mode is off.

Well, if the iPod is frozen it won't be recognized by iTunes. At the same time, if it's frozen, it's probably okay to be disconnecting it, as it can't communicate with your computer at the time. Odd though, that it freezes as it connects to the computer. Have you been able to reset the iPod (hold Menu and Select until you see an Apple logo) when this happens? You might try restoring the iPod in iTunes if you haven't already.

I have an older Ipod which is not taking a charge.

How are you trying to charge it? Have you tried a different cable to see if that makes a difference?
If nothing else, your iPod's battery may be shot and in need of a replacement.

What have you done so far? Zap the pram? Go to system preferences and turn off sleep options? Reset the SMC? Hav you tried an external monitor to see if it does it?

Try and force iPod into Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPod
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Yes, that is correct. The alternative is to quit all applications prior to logging out. Lion will then have a chance to remove the saved states.

I've had this setup for about a year with no hiccups whatsoever. Today, I decided to update the driver for my soundcard and now I have no sound at all. I installed the latest driver and console. Device Manager shows the correct driver being installed. If I try and open either control panel it tells me there isn't a compatible device hooked up. I never disconnected my speakers or pulled my soundcard either. Can anyone tell me what is going on? I'm really confused and pissed off at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TRy deleting and re-installing the FB app on your iPhone. You can deselect the app under the Applications tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync to remove the app from your iPhone. When the sync is completed, re-select the app followed by a sync to re-install the app on your iPhone.
If no change after doing so, try contacting FaceBook customer or technical support regarding the problem you are having with their app on your iPhone.
