Some of those things which concern itunes also help with your problem.  In particular try rebooting the computer, try a different USB cable to attach the phone or try a different port

  • My computer will not recognize my IPhone 4 after being updated

I was updating my iphone and the screen changed to "plug into itunes" in the middle of it, but it was already plugged in. Now my computer will not recognize that my iphone is plugged in and it is stuck on the "plug into itunes" screen. what should I do? It makes a sound when I plug it into my computer but not the same sound that it usually makes when I normally plug it in.

  • My computer will not recognize my iphone.

I am running Windows 7.  iTunes recognizes my device and it also is charging, so it's not a USB or cord issue.  It is saying that the driver is not installed and when I search for driver it says it can't be located.  This is a new phone I restored from a backup on iTunes on this computer.
I also read in other discussion posts about a bug where any pictures on you camera roll that you downloaded from the internet, email, or MMS may prevent the driver from properly installing, so I went through and deleted those.  Uninstalled driver. Unplugged iphone and reconnected to reinstall driver - still gives me the error that the driver is not installed.  Help - any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Melissa

  • My mac computer will not recognize my iPhone

Why won't my iPhone back up or sync with my mac now?  My computer doesn't even recognize that my phone is plugged in.  I've rebooted, switched cables, unchecked iCloud.

Is your iPhoto working? I have the same issue and it won't back up any photos or anything which is really annoying! I've tried all the things you have too. I have a 6 but I don't think it'd make a difference

  • HT1925 My computer does not recognize my Iphone

    Greetings,
I have a window 7 computer, and a Iphone 4, and my computer will not recognize my Iphone.
This is after I backed up my old device and completed the startup of the new.
    Any suggestions?

    Mac, Windows, Linux?
If you have Windows, make sure you have run Windows Update, reboot, or turn off your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that is blocking the device.  The last one is what was stopping my iPod from talking to iTunes.

  • HT4623 how do I either: 1) turn off comptability feature, or 2) up grade the .exe to be compatable with the iphone  ios 6.0.1 software.  The computer will not recognize the phone.

How do I either: 1) turn off comptability feature, or 2) up grade the .exe to be compatable with the iphone  ios 6.0.1 software.  The computer will not recognize the phone.  I reinstalled itunes, but it still does not work.

What are you talking about? There is no "compatibility feature" on the iPhone, and .exe files won't run on the phone.
Please slow down and explain exactly what you're trying to do and what happens when you try.

Going to venture a guess your Apple Mobile Device service isn't started.

  • I recently bought a new laptop because my old one crashed.  The only backup I had for my music was on my ipod.  My new computer will not recognize the ipods music and I can't transfer anything.  What do I do???

I recently bought a new laptop because my old one crashed.  The only backup I had for my music was on my ipod.  My new computer will not recognize the ipods music and I can't transfer anything.  It keeps asking me to sync the ipod to this computer, but I'm scared to lose all my music.  I want to transfer some of the music onto my iphone but I can't.  I'm very frustrated and wish I knew more about computers at the moment!?!?  What do I do???

You will need the help of some sort of 3rd party software to help you copy the content from your Shuffle back to your PC.  Once you have done that, you can reimport this music into iTunes and configure it to sync to your new Shuffle.

  • My 15" iMac G4 800mhz will not recognize my iPhone 4s at all. Please Help, There is more information below. Thanks.

My 15" iMac G4 800mhz will not recognize my iPhone 4s at all. It charges but doesn't load as external memory or in itunes.
I am running OS X 10.4.11 and using iTunes 9.2.1.
I have tried to be as specific as possible, I hope somebody can help as this is the main thing I will be using my mac for.
    Thanks in advance.

....and an 800mHz Mac cannot officially run 10.5.8. There may be some third-party hacks to allow tricking the installer into thinking the computer qualifies and permit the install to continue, but 10.5 will be very sluggish on that machine even if you have a lot of RAM.
The other problem is valid 10.5 retail install disks. They are getting hard to find, only on DVD (not all early iMacs have DVD-capable drives), and often sell today for more than their original price of US$129.

  • ITunes will not recognize my iPhone 5s

iTunes will not recognize my iPhone 5s.  I need it to, so I can choose the sync via WIFI.  Plus, I am unable to download iTunes by just using WIFI and my iPhone 5s.  I checked the Computer Manager areas and the settings appear correct.  My laptop runs on Windows 8.1.

Version 11.1.5.5 of iTunes was just released today. If you update to that, does that help with the recognition troubles?

  • My iphoto will not recognize my iPhone 5c

My iphoto will not recognize my iPhone 5c, therefore I can't import any of my pictures.
I read that it could be the cable do I went out and bought another but it is still not working?
Neither itunes nor iphoto open when I plug in my phone, however when I open up itunes manually, it recognizes it. Any suggestions?

Launch iTunes, then connect your iPhone to USB. The iPhone will prompt you, if you trust this computer. Confirm that you trust it.
Then try again to import to Photos.
If "trust" was not the reason, try a different USB port on your computer.
