TS1363 My Iphone stopped synching with my computer

Can anyone give me any ideas? My Iphone stopped synching with my Itunes. I can see the phone on my computer but Itunes does not recognize it.

I have a similar issue with iTunes and my iPhone 5S (7.0.4). Of course this was after the most recent update to iTunes blew away iTunes and the forum here walked me through the process to get iTunes back. I used to be able to plug in my iPhone 5S to my PC and sync'ing worked flawlessly. Now it seems that either the new update to iTunes of this latest software update to the iPhone prevents the sync'ing of music ptoperly.
Of further note is the fact that when I would make a manual change to a playlist on the iPhone directly and then sync'd it with iTunes, the changes I made on the iPhone were wiped out. I don't know which is the problem but it seems that the 2 are not compatible.
After the issues I had (as many others had) with the latest update to iTunes, I won't update iTunes any time in the near future. I am sorry that I did and I am also sorry that I allowed the update to my iPhone happen a month ago.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Certain "lines" in my touch screen would not work... the "send" button on the touch screen would not send, then the "slide to unlock" button would work sometimes and not at others... and if i tried to force certain actions by double clicking or screen shots, the entire screen would start to "gitter" and dance back and forth.... then some times it would select a command and continue to do it over and over and over again without my touching the screen at all.

Interestingly enough, when I connect my iPhone, I get the usual autorun feature asking me what I want to do with it as well as have iTunes launch.
The thing is if I open the iPhone on my computer, I see all the pitcures I took. I can copy them all and paste them to my computer and save them that way. I can not however take a picture from my computer and put it on my iPhone with going through the synch process. So no drag and drop for that yet. Wonder why its only one way though.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer, we're not mind readers so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see in the iPhoto window when iPhoto opens?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
remember we're only users like yourself who are here volunteering to help other so a better attitude would be appreciated.

How can I synch my ipod & iphone music (purchased from itunes on my old laptop) to my new laptop? A couple of other items:
1) I am guessing Apple does not keep a history of all my music purchases? As I did not have my entire library backed-up anywhere, and relying on the music I have on my ipod and my iphone as my only source of itunes music....I have lost over 500 songs!!!
2) I used to have an Apple account under another account name, and since have switched to a new account name. Is there anyway to find the history of purchases from my old Apple account name and transfer these over to my new account name and onto my new laptop?

The iphone/ipod is NOT a storage/backup device. Not maintaining a backup copy is a big mistake.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone/ipod to your computer:
Authorize your computer for all accounts and then click File>Transfer Purchases

BOTH computers have suddenly stopped synching with my Treo

Howdy -
I've been battling this for a week. First my home Mac, then my work Mac, within days of each other (no more than a week, maybe) stopped synching with my Treo. And I think the problem is with both computers!
Reason: The problem is clearly with the Transport Monitor on the Palm Desktop HotSynch. It ain't there. And before you ask, I've redownloaded the latest desktop (I already had the latest to begin with!), and restarted, several times on both computers in the past week. The EXACT same things happen:
- attempt at Hotsynch yields nothing on the computers. No reaction, no connection, no communication.
- Open Hotsynch on desktop; low and behold, Hotsynch is DISABLED - Ok; click on Enabled......and 5 seconds later, by itself, it DISABLES itself again.
--- and gives an error message: "Transport Monitor could not complete your request. (16)."
Ah-hah; that's why there's no communication with the Treo when it tries to Hotsynch, he says smugly. I'll check the Palm Folder.......checking....well, the Transport Monitor icon is there. Huh.
- simplest thing: re-download and install latest Desktop. Done. Restart.
- now, that's funny; while the computer was rebooting, that same darn error message came up: "Transport Monitor could not complete your request. (16)."
This is before the computer is 100% restarted even. It's almost like, during the restart process, when it checked (or tried to enable, I guess?) Transport Monitor, it was failing right there.
- Try to Hotsynch - again, Palm desktop doesn't even know it's happening; no communication with the Treo. (And no "Transport Monitor" error message, either; maybe because it doesn't know it's there?). Nothing.
- Go check. HotSynch; yup, same thing; Hotsynch is DISABLED - and won't allow itself to be enabled. Go to Palm Folder, and yup, Transport Monitor appears to be right there, size 360kb.
If there is a problem recognizing Transport monitor, even AFTER it is ENABLED; or, replaced with a brand new transport monitor (via the Desktop download)..... then he thinks he'll: trash the Transport Monitor. Empty the Mac trash. Restart. Then redownload the Desktop which includes a totally pristine Transport Monitor!
Ok! Restart.....
- and the exact same thing happens. During the Mac restart after yet another Palm Desktop download, that darn Transport Monitor error message comes up, just on the restart. Then repeat all the testing and checking above......nothing has changed.
AND THIS ALL HAS OCCURRED ON TWO SEPARATE MACS - one at work, one at home. And while they don't have identical software applications (naturally), they are acting exactly the same with this Palm Desktop error, too the tee - and they failed in this within one week of each other.
Both MacBooks are almost identical; both less than a year old; one with 4 gig RAM, one with 2 gig ram. Both running 10.5.7 . (Question: Is it possible for me to find out when each computer was updated to 10.5.7? Could that be the problem?? Or another of the common applications; e.g, I have the same version of Microsoft mac Office on both).
Guys, I haven't been able to hotsynch with EITHER computer for two weeks now - which for my lifestyle is unacceptable. "Help me, Obi- wan; you're......."

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. iTune 9.2.1.. somehow all of the iTouch apps [2G 32GB] is trying to install into the new iPhone 4. How do I prevent it... it keeps saying sync in Progress and I am not sure if I should remove it from iTunes.. since I am afraid it might remove it from the iTouch when I connect it back. I thought iTunes would regard both devices as being distinct and not sharing the same iTunes folder??? I just set up iPhone 4 as a new device in iTunes 9.2.1 and I had synch iTouch 2G before on the same PC.. now it is trying to copy everything from the iTouch to the iphone... I tried everything but it is still trying to do this

Thanks, but I don't think that the shared libary feature in iTunes creates actual shares, does it? I have my own library shared but I don't see any shares showing up in Computer Management.
I don't think it's applicable, but in this case the "Bill" account actually has administrator-level access on most computers on the network, while "Steve" has limited access.
I may not be remembering correctly, but it seems to me that "Bill" has accessed a couple of the missing libraries while previously on computer A. It really seems like there is something within my library that is blocking those libraries; maybe I had accessed them but then they were disconnected abruptly or something and now iTunes/Bonjour marks them as disconnected.
It's a minor issue, but at this point it has become frustrating enough that I really want to figure this out, but I'm running out of ideas...

"Synching" with new computer and maintaining playlists

I bought a new iMac in July, but continued to synch my iPhone4 with my older MacBook. I would like to switch over to synching with the iMac, but don't want to lose my playlists, music files, etc, which are currently stored on the iPhone. Is there a way to pull the playlists off the phone into the iMac? (All of my music files are on an external 2TB drive that synchs that is available to all macs in the house via my airport network. The other issue, which is slightly related, is that the MacBook's iTunes library recently changed itself and forgot where it's library was. In choosing the correct library, a lot of my playlists were gone and some of the music was also gone. The MacBook has 3 hard drives (one internal; 2 external that are always on), 2 of which are bootable. Booting from a different drive still doesn't pull up the iTunes library as it occurred a month ago. I tried pulling it out of Time Machine, but it didn't work. So, synching with the MacBook is also impossible, since again, my iPhone playlists will be erased. So, how can I pull the music & playlists off of the iPhone before synching with the new computer? (I should reiterate that I am not in danger of losing the music, since it's all on the external music-server drive, but the playlists will all disappear.)

I never got a reply to this, but today, downloaded the App called PhoneView, which appears to do nearly everything I needed. Pretty cool. Apple, I really wish you would make it easier to pull data and apps off an iPhone when synching with a new Mac.

I am a realtor and have used Outlook for years, but am unable to get my iphone to synch with Outlook. Does anyone have a solution? I have been to the Apple store and have had more than one person working on it, to no avail.

Not sure what you've already tried, but sometimes you have to uninstall iTunes and all it's components as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925, then reinstall iTunes. (This would be necessary if the Outlook plugin is missing or corrupt.) You won't loose your iTunes library or media by doing this.

Have you tried to manually turn it on on the right side?
If that does not work, then it simply isn't being recognized by the computer and you will need to borrow any kind of USB keyboard from a neighbor to get past the password and into the Bluetooth Setup Assistant (top right menu under bluetooth) to set up yours.
