TS1367 Pressing iMac Power Button and nothing happens.
I followed the steps to reset the SMC on my late 2013 iMac, and once I plugged back in the iMac chimed and immediately quit a couple times. When I pushed the button, it chimed, started to spin up, and shut back down. So it was progress, previously there had been nothing. Any ideas?
Now the iMac is just chiming half a chime every few minutes and cutting back out. Weirdest thing is last night it did start and ran fine for hours.

My ipod touch 5th gen. 16gb ios 8.1.2 wont turn on, i press the power button and nothing happens, and my home button doesnt work, PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

So just like last time I tried to update my iPhone software...MY PHONE IS FROZEN. Displaying iTunes icon and a USB cable I pressed the Power button and the menu botton together until the apple icon appeared held them down for 10 secs & NOTHING Now what? Do I just wait for the battery to run out?
Hi Careesa,
Your iPhone is in recovery mode-- you need to connect it to your computer and, most likely, iTunes will ask you to restore it. If you recently backed up this shouldn't be too much of a problem. -

this morning when I took my macAir it would nt start and when I pluged it, there was no light indicating a charge.
I checked the charger on my wife's mcAir and it worked.
I plugged it back to mine and the orange light came.
since a few hours, the plug is on with the orange light on, and still I cannot start the computer. Nothing happens!
help!Try a SMC reset
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
This process helps correct these power issues.

My phone wont turn on ive tried holding the sleep and home button and nothing happened help?
i turned my phone off and it wont turn on ive tried holding the sleep and home button and nothing happened...i plugged it in to my computer and i didnt connect to itunes help
The two first choices are to reboot by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, that can take up to half a minute. If that does not work, then more drastic is to restore using the recovery mode to connect to a computer running iTunes, described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 and summarized as:

I just bought an Ipad 3G and can't get past the first page of the setup. I choose a language (english) and hit the home button and nothing happens!!!!!!!!!! What am I doing wrong?
I'm pretty sure it say Next button or continue button, not Home. The home button would move you out of an application. When setting up you need to press the blue button with the white arrow at the top right corner to move on.

How do I restore the icloud backup for my Ipad if I never set up the "back up" in the first place? My Ipad is in a frozen state. I press the OK button but nothing happens. The message on the iPad is "iCloud Backup This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi."
Perform a Reset...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

when i press the power button and the "home" button it lights up the screen. however.... the screen is magnatized like 300% percent. and i cant open it or anything becasue it wont let me move the screen!!! what to do??
Yup! I've been there! You just have to double-tap the screen with three fingers and the zoom should go back. You have to turn off the feature in Settings>Accessibility>Zoom>and turn the switch off so this won't happen again when you double-triple tap.

Then you came click on the link to go to disk utilities and repair your disk or do a reinstall of you operating system. I think the screen you are seeing is the recovery screen. Here is a hot of what it looks like. You will have to scroll down a little to see it.http://osxdaily.com/2013/11/05/downgrade-from-os-x-mavericks/ http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT4718 This link tells you what you can do.
