I am asked to answer security questions that I have never seen before. They were not on origional set up.
Also, the "forgotten" password are not going to my email address, nor my husbands.

The security questions have been added to provide additional security for iTunes Store accounts. You will need to set up the questions and answers now, and provide those answers from time to time.

If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

If you have three security questions and a rescue email address, sign in to My Apple ID and select the “Password and Security” tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.

Beware, after updating to the new version of itunes and trying to purchase a song it thinks it is a new computer and asks security questions that you never setup. Real bad! Still do not know how to reset security questions with new version of Itunes.
Any Ideas?You don't need to buy only from the App Store. If only you knew how to change settings in the security pane of your Mac... You would know that you can change this setting. But of course, you don't need a "babysitter" to make things easy for you.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
