TS1368 im unable to connect to itunes. i am receiving a 11222 error. i ask that this be fixed so i can continue the use of itunes products.

I am unable to connect to itunes store due to an 11222 error. What can be done to fix this problem immediately so can begin enjoying the products available to me.

    Not sure what version of Norton you have but here is a link to the support site explaining how to properly configure your firewall settings for specific programs. This is for Norton 2007, they should have links to other versions as well.

    I would start off your troubleshooting process by following these steps:
    Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
    Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
    Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
    Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
    Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
    If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

    Best practices says plug the USB cable into the computer, then plug the 30 pin connector into the iPhone.
    If everything is working correctly, you should be able to plug the iPhone in at any time. Before or after opening iTunes.
    Depending on what settings are selected in iTunes, the program may or may not automatically open when you connect the device.

    For the past 2 days I have been unable to make purchases from the iTunes store with Apple TV. I get the message "Unable to connect to iTunes Store. Temporarily unavailable.     I would contact Apple under your warranty.  I doubt you received a new iPod since Apple's policy is to give you a refurbished iPod.

    There are a number of threads from other people reporting the same iTunes connection issue, it looks like there might be a problem at Apple's end - but you could try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works, but it probably won't until Apple's fixed it
