Since like the middle of december I can't get my itunes browser to connect to the store. Any Ideas?

Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". Uncheck the boxes other than Network connectivity tests, as per the following screenshot:
    ... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here.

  • Itunes won't connect to the store

I've re-installed iTunes but still won't connect. Check the firewall and things seem OK.

I had that happen to me more than once.
Try this: Go to Internet Explorer. Click on Tools then Internet Options. Click the Connections tab and then LAN Settings. Uncheck the Use Proxy Server for your LAN.
If that is the glitch you should then be able to go to the iTunes store.
Sometimes if you can't get to the iTunes store, trying a little bit later is successful.
    Good luck.

  • My iTunes won't connect to the store or sync my iPod. What's wrong?!?!

It says it's syncing the iPod Touch, but it takes a really long time, and after a while, iTunes "stopped responding." I can view my iTunes account, but that's it. It says it's connecting to the store, but the loading bar starts around half-way and after a while it'll act like it finished loading, but the window is blank. HELP!!

  • After the last update my iTunes won't connect to the store

I'm not sure what happened but after my iTunes updated to version 10.5 I can't connect to the store.  I called in once and the person had me uninstall itunes and a few other things and then reinstall and it worked for a day and then iTunes updated again for some reason and once again I can't connect to the store.  Any suggestions?

Hey, I had the same problem with the itunes not connecting to the store thing, I recommend checking your firewall and stuff make sure itunes (or safari) is not blocked, if everything is ok with that (apple apps not blocked), Uninstall Itunes, safari, quicktime icloud and whatever apple app you have on your computer. and get an earlier version.... the problem in some cases? Apple Application Support on itunes 10/quicktime 7 and later, a flaw that apple has to work on I recommend downloading a earlier version of itunes

  • ITunes won't connect to the store, home sharing, or Cloud.

I just got an iPhone, and since I've had a touch before, I know how to use iTunes. Didn't have it on this computer, so I downloaded it, set it up, etc. Now I'm trying to sign into the iTunes store and it insists I have no internet connection. Uh, obviously I do because my browser is working fine, and I just downloaded the program itself. Specifically, it says "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. An unknown error ocurred. (-3212) Make sure your internet connection is active and try again."
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Did I download a wrong version? I'm using Windows 8, I'm running Adblock and Norton, and I have a few games on here. I'm pretty good with computers, but this is stumping me, and everything I've tried isn't working.

    maybe its norton/adblock...just guessing

  • Itunes won't connect to Music Store.

FYI - Possible solution to Can't connect to network.
I had this problem and I uninstalled itunes and had an old copy laying around and I reinstalled the older version and then did the 'msconfig fix' (disable all services and then add a service one by one. It worked and I could connect to music store. Connected to the latest itunes version 6.0.something or other and I can now connect to music and Apple can now suck every loose penny I have.

  • ITunes Won't Connect to iTunes Store + Syncing Issues

I downloaded the digital copy of The Hunger Games directly onto my Ipod touch (4th gen) and when I try to sync my iPod to my computer, the syncing freezes when it's almost done finding purchases (step 4 of 8), and never completes syncing. I've tried letting it sync overnight and in the morning, it's still stuck in the 'finding purchases' step. I've done the iTunes diagnostics and it tells me that iTunes can't connect to the internet. My internet works fine and I've tried all the basic solutions (checking firewall, clearing hard drive cache, reinstalling, uninstalling ad blockers, etc) but none have worked. It's also worth to note that every time I open my  iTunes, there's a window that says that my iTunes is missing drives and such, and to reinstall. I've reinstalled at least 10 times and the message still appears.
I want to add some songs onto my iPod, as well as transfer The Hunger Games onto my iTunes, but since the sync never completes, I'm unable to.

Oh I forgot, I'm on Windows Vista.

When I try to connect to the music store I keep getting this message that I says that it can't connect and that I should check ny network connections and try again. I am using ITunes 4 with Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2. I have tried Everything I could think of the Firewalls, the software it self and uninstalled and installed it again. Nothing works.
One day it was working fine then the next, it stops working. I even downloaded a newer version to see if the would some how fix it. But that didnt worj either. If I click on the option to check for updates that work on the ITunes, but not the music store.
Please help, anyone!! I am at the end of my rope!!!

Can you try these entries in command prompt (Run as Administrator for Win7/Vista) one at a time?
    ipconfig /release
    then
    ipconfig /renew
    restart computer
    ipconfig /flushdns
totally shut down computer then restart.
    netsh winsock reset all
    restart computer
Now test your iTunes again. If that does not work, uninstall your Antivirus program and test again.

  • ITunes won't connect to iTunes store in Windows XP

For a while now, I have had trouble getting iTunes to connect to the iTunes store. It works about one out of ever 10 to 20 tries. I finally uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, to no effect. Any suggestions?

Problem solved by uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes.

  • ITunes won't connect to iTunes Store with my Apple ID and repeatedly crashes with "An unknown error occurred (-50)."

I've been unable to use iTunes for over 3 weeks now.
Initially, it would prompt me to Sign In with my Apple ID and password each time it tried to start, and when I clicked Sign In, it'd respond with variations of:
"Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance."
        or
        De-authorize/Authorize.
Frustrated, I'd click Cancel, and it'd crash with:
        "An unknown error occurred (-1008)."
        or
        "An unknown error occurred (-50)."
More recently, I don't even get the Sign In prompt any more. iTunes now just crashes immediately with unknown error (-50) as soon as it tries to start.
It is clear that this issue has more to do with the Apple ID than with iTunes specifically, because some of the apps I purchased directly from the App Store (OmniFocus, Fantastical and Forismatic) now prompt me to Sign In with my Apple ID and password each time they try to start, and they never did before. And when I try to sign, they respond with the error:
"Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance."
Apparently, this is an issue a whole lot of people are experiencing, judging by the long list of Google search returns on the subject; but I'm yet to find a definitive, "official" Apple solution to the problem.
My Apple ID is the same as it's always been.
If anyone knows what's really causing this and/or can offer a fix, please H-E-E-E-L-P? I'll even pay to make it go away. I abandoned Windows after 26 years, only to discover that no platform is spared the blackhole of unknown errors.

    Hi,
What security software is running on the PC? The security software could be causing the issue, try to reconfigure or temporarily disable it.
You can also try flushing the DNS as shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1527

  • ITunes can't connect to the store

Hi everyone! It's since a couple of weeks ago that I have trouble connecting to the iTunes Store from my iTunes. I had the latest version of iTunes 10, and it worked all just fine. Then all of a sudden one day, for no evident reason, it says it can't connect to iTunes Store, because the internet connection isn't active, but in fact the connection works! Also, I can't access my account from iTunes, but I can listen to radio stations!! And when I run the Diagnostics for the network connection, I get only the third dot red, where it says it failed the "safe connection to iTunes Store".
So I make a test, I try to connect to iTunes Store from my iPod Touch, using the very same internet wi-fi connection I use for my pc. And guess what? It works perfectly! This makes me think the trouble is in my computer then. So I check the guide and I update my OS (Windows XP 32 bit, with SP3), with no results.
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes, with no results. The last thing I tried was the downgrade to iTunes 9, with the only difference that now when I run the Network Diagnostics, it gives me all the green dots, but still iTunes won't connect to the store!
I really don't know what to do anymore... If someone could please help me, I would be very grateful! Thank you very much in advance for your attention.

  • After installing Norton Antivirus to my PC, iTunes won't connect

A few months ago, after getting a nasty virus, I had Norton Antivirus installed on my PC.  Since then, my iTunes won't connect to the store.  This wasn't a huge deal until I got an iPhone, now it's a constant issue.  Has anyone had a similar issue or know what in the world to turn off/on to make it work again?

What iPad117 is describing is recovery mode. this will need a restore in itunes to be able to use the device again, clearing all data. If you want to avoid this, try this first: Try a different usb port. A lot of ports are not compatable with some iPads. One in the back of the computer is usually best. Also try a different cable, and make sure itunes is up to date.
