How can I control what images load on my project to save preload time and avoid loading all images, elements, divs not yet visible?
As the project grows in size the load time increases. How does one control not loading all images ,divs,elements etc. until they're
needed on the timeline? For example some sections are off and only become visible when recalled. My projects slowly grow in size so loading
all images , is counter productive . My other option would be to create separate htmls but that breaks the seamless user experience .

1. you might think of making DVD backups first prior to importing the photos into Aperture. "Store Files: In their current location" once in Aperture make low rez Previews, and export finished Project.
or,
2. bring in the photographs to hard drive first prior to importing the photos into Aperture. "Store Files: In their current location" once in Aperture make low rez Previews, and export finished Project.
the low rez Previews will stay in Aperture but the high quality Versions will be exported onto DVDs and gone from the hard drive (if you delete the originals).
another way would be to export small about 50-70 pixel wide high quality jpegs to a folder on your Desktop and import & keep these in Aperture Library as a reference. make metadata to show where the original Project DVDs are stored and DVD filing system used.

Flash Media Server does not come bundled with a load balancer. In theory, one deploys FMS in an edge/origin configuration like this
1 Origin ----> N Edges ------> Customer Traffic
The idea here is that N edges shoulder the load for most customers with a single origin coordinating resources like VOD content or script access. The issue that remains is "how do I spread customers over the N edges" and that's where load balancing comes in. Most customers use a prepackaged load balancing solution - as an Adobe staffer I can't recommend any of them over the other, but you should be able to get some recommendations here along with just googling for it. The short answer contained here though is, you're going to have to find one outside of FMS if that's needed for your setup.

Where can I find what phone loads are compatible with CME?

I recently upgraded one of our CME systems to CME v10.0
I noticed that even though the CMEv10 Supported Firmware page says the compatible phone load for my 7911 phones is 9-2-1TH1-13,
my 7911's running phone load 8-4-3-16 all seem to be registering and running just fine.
So I must conclude that 7911 phone load 8-4-3-16 is compatible with CME v10.0
Where can I go to find out what phone load versions are compatible with CME or perhaps, at least, where I can find what phone loads are no longer supported by a version of CME?

Specific CME versions are tested with the versions listed on the "requirements" doc like the one you mentioned (linked below), but are not limited to those firmware versions. The phone loads/firmware is completely independent from the CME/IOS version. And it is often appropriate to upgrade or downgrade phone firmware levels on CME and is fully supported :)

I would look at upgrading the 8-4-3 firmware for the 7911's BUT you will need to move to an interim mid-point release like 8-5-2 as a first step due to the "important notes" shown here;

When CDB gets populated? what is load parameters and syn parameter?

hi all,
myself have a query with regards to consolidated database where would to like to know when does the CDB gets populated. when we deploy the MBO does the mbo bring the data from backend sys or when we call it from UI client.
what is load parameters and syn parameter got confused. please explain in very normal term.

myself understood the concepts of load and sync parameters thanks for your inputs....
we are doing a scenario with backend as SAP and front end ui with ios. we have done all the things in place and when executing from ui front end only the last record is displayed. for example if it is returning 6 records then it displays only the last record.
check in CDB and foun only the last record is ther in it but when doing the PREVIEW of MBO to test it their it displays all the record but from UI it is displaying only 6th record
this where my query is that hw and when CDB gets populated and where i have to look in to rectify it....

What IP load balancers in front of Directory Proxy Server?

In the highly available topology design, two Directory Proxy Servers sit behind IP load balancers. What IP load balancers are folks using for this?
We happen to have F5 load balancers, but I was a bit disappointed to learn that these proxy the connections, and so the initial LDAP client IP address is swollowed up by the F5. This seems to rob a lot of usefulness in Directory Proxy / Directory Server, not to mention make the DP / DS logs less helpful. Anyway around this?

However, there is no mechanims at the LDAP protocol level to carry initial client IP address down to the ultimate server

Data in cube is different from what I loaded

A strange problem just happened... I loaded a cube from a flat file and everything looked OK. PSA has correct data. Update and transfer rules are direct assignments. nevertheless one of the characteristics change its value. I do not think a conversion routine has any influence on this although I could be wrong. For example I loaded a flat file with A = '050501' and the cube table gets loaded with '500005'. I've debugged up to update rules and the value is always correct.
If I load the cube through SEM the same thing happens. I write a value and a different value is written in the infocube.
Have any of you experienced the same issue?

How do you see the data in master data? Do you see 050501 or 50005.
Conversion may have an influence. Do you mind to delete the data in the cube, remove the conversion routine of the info object, and reload.
When you say i also loaded thru SEM, what that means?

What Performance Load for simulationg end-use load for Power View and Excel Services?

I have SQL Server 2014 DW, OLAP Cube, SharePoint 2013, Power View(Silverlight) and Excel Services.
I would like to monitor performance with perfmon and analyse results with PAL.
But how to generate end-user load for 1000 users? We would have several end-user roles to simulate each clicking differents slicers in reports.
What tools are capable for this?
Any experiences about HP Loadrunner or Neoload with MS BI tools?
Does Microsoft have any compatible load generation tool?

Write an MDX script with randomized parameter to be executed in a loop using SSMS.
Run the script in 50 SSMS query windows. Run it on 20 machines (20x50 = 1000).

In Log-shipping what is load delay period on secondary server - Skipping log backup file since load delay period has not expired ....

During logshipping, job on secondary server is ran successfully BUT give this information
"Skipping log backup file since load delay period has not expired ...."
What is this "Load delay period" ? Can we configure this somehow, somewhere ?
NOTE : The value on "Restore Transasction Log tab", Delay Restoring backups at least = Default (zero minutes)

How to get the LSBackup, LSCopy, and LSRestore jobs back in sync...
Last I posted the issue was that my trn backups were not being copied from Primary to Secondary.
I found upon further inspection of the LS related tables in MSDB the following likely candidates for adjustment:
1) dbo.log_shipping_monitor_secondary, column last_copied_file
change last copied file column to something older than the file that is stuck. For example, the value in the table was
E:\SQLLogShip\myDB_20140527150001.trn
I changed last_copied_file to E:\SQLLogShip\myDB_20140525235000.trn. Note that this is just a made up file name that is a few minutes before the actual file that I would like to restore (myDB_2014525235428.trn). 4 mins and 28 seconds before, to
be exact.
LSCOPY runs and voila! now it is copied from primary to secondary. That appears to be the only change needed to get the copy going again.
2) For LSRestore, see the MSDB table dbo.log_shipping_monitor_secondary, change
last_restored_file
again I used the made up file E:\SQLLogShip\myDB_20140525235000.trn
LSRESTORE runs and my just copied myDB_2014525235428.trn is restored
** note that
dbo.log_shipping_secondary_databases also has a last_restored_file column - this did not seem to have any effect, though I see that it updates after completing the above and LSRestore has run successfully, so now it is correct as well
3) LSBackup job is still not running, the job still has a last run date in the future. Could just leave it and eventually it will come right, but I made a fairly significant time change, plus it's all an experiment....back to MSDB.
look at dbo.sysjobs, get the job_id of your LSBackup job
edit dbo.sysjobschedules - change next_run_date next_run_time as needed to a datetime before the current time, or when you would like the job to start running.
I wouldn't be so cavalier with data that was important, but that's the benefit of being in Test, and it appears that these time comparisons are very rudimentary - a value in the relevant log shipping table and the name of the trn file. That said, if you
were facing a problem of this nature due to lost trn files, corrupted, or some similar scenario, this wouldn't fix your problem, though it _might_ allow you to continue? But in my case I know I have all the trn files, it's just the time that changed, in this
case on my Primary server, and thus the names of the trn logs got out sync.

I'm having problems getting my headphones to work from front pannel on my Soundbalster Aud2 Platinum. I tried all ideas pinned in here including clean sweep. What I can not do is make any adjustment to the HQ/Device like "mute spks when headphones in use" because there are no options like that. The only device it shows in that tab is the soundcard it self. Yes I see red light and I have used firewire port, but know that does not req the ribbon cable. Soooo...is the reason I have no HQ settings/options for front pannel because it was not on my CD to load or just because it is there to load but won't because it can't detect it's I say I got the wrong CD with my card and the tool is just not there. What do you think? I have tried all updates of any kind but they seem to cover drivers/spkr sets improvements. etc. but never a offer of upgraded Audio HQ. And that is what looks like is set up for just a sound card with out front pannel options. Mine has only got functions for digital or analog/and one other for some kind of freq change (not @ home right now) Please help!

If you installed the CD and everything is working correctly then it should give you those options. What does the image/text on the CD itself say? Have you spoken to Customer Support yet?

What is "Loading"?

When I open a project the bottom Info area in Premiere Pro reads "Loading..." followed by the path to the file(s) with a "XX Remaining" counting down to zero. When finished it then says something like, "All Files Loaded".
What is the process of "Loading"? I also work in After Effects and the closest comparison I came up with is a RAM Preview which "Loads" every frame to RAM for playback but I seriously doubt that's happening here. There's definitely disk access going on but since I'm not even playing back the clips I don't know what PP is doing.
Any ideas about the technical mumbo jumbo behind this?

what version pp you using ? the tech mumbo jumbo changes depending on version sometimes
some files when loaded need to be "confomed" some are loading...like the program is finding the files on a timeline or in project and its loading them ? thats mumbo jumbo about sound files and video etc...
usually its so fast you dont see stuff like that...so maybe your computer is underpowered to be using the editing program with those files ( in other words, maybe your computer would be OK for Sd but not so good for Hd ? )
that depends on how many hard drives you have in what sort of setup ( more mumbo jumbo ) and other computer specs ....

I have been trying all day to submit an App to the App Store, and I have taken all the necessary steps required, but everytime I open Application Loader, I get the following error:
*Application Loader is currently unavailable*
We're having trouble connecting to the iTunes Store. Please try again later.
+An error occurred talking to the iTunes Store+
I am using the latest beta of xCode 3.2.5 with iOS 4.2 beta 3. The version of Application Launcher, is 1.4 (92). Anyone else having this problem? I can't seem to find a solution anywhere. Maybe the servers are just down, but I find that hard to believe...

i'm having the same aforementioned issue, i have the iTunes Connect setup, and i produced an upload-ready zipped binary package from XCode 3.2.3.
my App is in the ( waiting for upload ) state, and Application Loader is the only way to upload anything it seems, there is no direct documentation about this issue, and no express lane category for itunes connect, what should i do ??

When opening a new tab, how to you define what page loads

I downloaded an application to try to "speed up" my computer. I'm usually prety good about making sure i know whats being downoaded but it downloaded yahoo something or other (toolbar i think) and now when I open a new tab in firefox it goes to yahoo. (*although when i click "home" it goes to the firefox page). any help?
also anyway to define the new tab page kinda like they do in google chrome? (kinda like a "home" screen)
