TS1398 I have tried everything of the above multiple times!!! previously the wi-fi was connecting perfectly in all locations. Now it is Unable to connect to the WI-FI and even if it does is for 2 sec. I need some further help please.
My wifi does not seem to work.
It always appears the "unable to join the network ....." error message, as in the past it worked perfectly fine.
I have tried all the "apple support" options. I have even restored my iphone fully.
Sadly there is no apple store near by.
Do you suggest anything else!?

I used all advice on these boards and nothing has worked I am only able to use wep and I have increased it to 128 bit with a 13 chracter password for my router. please help otherwise I have 1 useless device and one that will chew on a data plan. Not at all happy with apple right now!
First if you use WEP. you have to set the route to use the first hexadecimal key and as the password and you enter that key, not the paraphrase you entered to create the four keys. as the password on the iPod. See:

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Lenovo A6000 Softbricked? Needs some serious help--Please
Hi My A6000 phone got factory reset and then I tried to recover some lost pics...but I was advised that my phone needs to be rooted first, so the software opened kingo root soft, It showed me the message that phone has been rooted and when it rebooted there was a notification of software update which I said ok and ever since then the phone is stuck on system recovery mode (not sure if it is called soft brick or not) and I have tried many things including choosing all the options starting from reboot system now, apply update from ADB, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, apply update from sdcard but nothing seems to work!!! oh I for got to mention on the top of the screen it says Androoid system recovery <3e>Kraft -A6000_S035_150507 and then gives all the option and i have tried this following : https://boycracked.wordpress.com/2015/06/03/unbrick-lenovo-a6000/ but some how for the first solution it keeps on saying download failed, emergency recovery download failed...anyways it does not work Is there any soultion to this!!! it worked the link from boycracked (mentioned above )actually worked the trick was to hold vol up+down key (while the phone is off) and then insert the usb into your computer, secondly my computer kept of saying that qualcomms --digital signatures not verified and the port is supposed to be Qualcomm Lenovo HS-USB QDLoader 9008 where as mine showed up to 9091, to solve this I uninstalled the drivers and then disabled digital signatures (use goggle how to disable signatures verification on whichever windows you are using) and it worked fine. Replaced zd8000 motherboard and need some troubleshooting help please............

I just replaced the motherboard on our HP zd8000 (pentium 4, 3.0ghz, 2gb ram, Win XP) with a used but tested good MB and need some help with the following.
1) I now cannot play DVD movies as the error no "dvd decoder" present which was not an issue before? Where can I go to get a free decoder that will work, as Windows only shows paid versions? We have the dvd burner/reader with lightscribe. SOLVED! CNET HAD DECODER.
2) The internal temperature, according to SpeedFan, is running around 140 degrees with just some Internet browsing. Is that a normal temperature because I only have one of three fans running on the laptop? Is there anyway of making all three fans run to be sure there are no issues? I am positive I hooked up everything but again only one fan seems to be running?
3) I discovered some of the pins were damaged in the card reader. I may get the Seller to give me a discount, no intention of tearing it apart simply for that, but is there any concern of short or otherwise?
4) Our battery stopped charging years ago, these were notorious for such, but I purchased a new one last year and hoped the replacement MB would allow charging again. No such luck though. Is there anything I can do, BIOS update etc, to make the battery charge?
5) Anything you folks can think of for me to test to insure the new motherboard is working properly?

P.S. This was a correct replacement board according to MB serial numbers. Everything else seems to be functioning properly other than mentioned. Our graphics went out on the original MB.

View Solution.Some of the wires had pushed out of the harness that connected the other two fans. I double checked and re-attached those so now the laptop is running quite a bit cooler.

iTunes will only copy back iTunes purchased music. If you don't still have a copy of the music that you copied from CDs or bought from other stores anywhere (e.g. on another computer or on your backup of your library) then there are some third-party programs listed half-way this page which should be able to copy them back : Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

i am trying to make a .gif, but when ever i go to "File --> Import --> Video Frames to Layers" and select the video, the little video box thing is blank

oh yea, and i have Vista (in case that matters)OK, "AVI" is but a container - a "wrapper," if you will. An AVI can contain almost anything, and much of it cannot be used by Photoshop. See this ARTICLE for much more background. There are tips in that article on "peeking inside" the wrapper. Please let us know what is inside those files, and someone can likely help you.

I am finally getting back into the tax automation mode and finishing up what I started. I am able to calculate the numbers i want for Tax Provision but when i consolidate at top of the house, all the ENTITIES below get the same number posted in them.
The calculation account is set up as an Asset type and set to consolidate.
The percentage is working because it is set to not consolidate.
Here is the rule
If HS.ENtity.Member = "XXXX" then

can someone tell me why the Entity is calculating the same number for every Entity under it when XXX is the Entity at top of the house.I would try diconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard. Make sure you are gentle with the plastic slide on the logic board side of the connector, it is very delicate.

Laserjet P1102w & Mac Wireless Woes (Have tried everything!)
Feels like I have tried everything, so I turn to here.
Installing (reinstalling, actually) a P1102w on a Macbook running Leopard. I had this printer working beautifully a year and a half ago, no problems whatever. Changed the network name, everything fell apart. I went away for a few months and have come back to a new ISP and router/modem and am now trying to set it up on the network.
Here is everything I have done so you have a sense of how this is failing me:
Installed drivers from the cd
Plugged in the printer and configured the HTML Config and the Wireless settings in the HTML Config exactly as every thread and guide on this website tells me to do. It finds my network, it takes the WPA key and says that everything is fine.
Tried accessing it via "Bonjour" on Safari--it doesn't show up.
Tried powercycling everything, doesn't work.
Tried resetting the HTML config settings to factory default on the printer numerous times, nothing happens.
Tried setting my own IP address for the printer within the IP Range of the router/modem and connecting to it that way--no luck. Whenever I add the printer connected that way it says the sheets have printed within the print queue but nothing happens to the printer.
Have managed to connect to the printer under the AirPort drop down, the ad-hoc, but that still doesn't do anything.
The printer when plugged in via USB works perfectly. When (as directed) I delete the USB printer from my Print/Fax list, unplug the USB Cable and attempt to re-add the wireless printer (As I did a year and a half ago) nothing shows up in that list.
It used to show up as the printer name + Bonjour under "Kind", it doesn't any longer. Bonjour is turned on in HTML Config.
I have looked at the youtube videos and searched these forums and others with zero luck.
I called Tech Support but unforunately they are now charing you to fix problems (I'll leave my complaints on that for another thread...ha). I am sure $25 is worth it, but when you're a student and $25 is about half of your weekly food budget, it's hard to justify tech support.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just went into the Add Printer window with the USB unplugged and, as usual, there is nothing there.
I clicked to "FAX" and then back to "DEFAULT".
When I clicked back to "DEFAULT" for a milisecond the printer name and "BONJOUR" flickered and was gone. It happens each time that I switch back to "DEFAULT". I can see it for barely a moment and it is gone.
The wireless light on the printer is also flickering pretty constantly.

I have tried everything I know to retrieve the iPhoto Library app. I detest this new Photo app, which obviously wasn't designed with photographers in mind. I desperately need help in retrieving the old app and have not been able to do it so far. I have gone to my app folder and tried to update my iPhoto Library. I have gone to my trash and brought it over to my desktop and still cannot use it. Please help!
Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto.

Unsured amount of music on my List
