IPad Internet connection preference
Simple question:
I have an iPad 2 WiFi & 3G model with SIM card installed. If, say, I'm in my apartment and my iPad is connected to my home WiFi network (which has access to the internet), how will it prefer to connect to the internet: through WiFi or directly through its 3G connection?
Thanksverizon has a glitch so that turning 3G on and off often requires a reboot of machine, so prefer to leave both wi-fi and 3G on at same time -- so resolving which preferentially serves data is valuable to me (and perhaps to other verizon iPad users)

HT1695 iPhone + iPad internet connection?
I have an iPhone, and would like to get an iPad, but because an iPad with cellular is so much more expensive (I am willing to buy it if it is necessary), I was wondering if there was any way you culd use your iPhone to get internet connection where there is not wifi on your iPad? Maybe through iCloud or something?
Thanks ever so guys!If your phone carrier supports the personal hotspot function (and you many need to contact them in case it's an extra fee/subscription) then yes, you can use that to share its 3G connection with the iPad - the iPad will see it as a wifi network.

IPad internet connectivity failure
I was sailing along with my 40-hour-old iPad2, getting all the apps in the right folders, setting up and using email accounts, having a wonderful time surfing the web. And then, Wham! My brand-spanking-new 32GB White Wi-Fi model decided it didn't like the Internet and refused to join the rest of the civilized world.
After talking to an Apple rep, quitting the home network and rejoining it a couple of times, doing a complete Restore (there goes all those hours spent moving apps into folders and getting the settings for sounds, etc., almost right) twice. Nothing.
I've got an appointment at the Indianapolis Apple Store tomorrow afternoon. If that minor problem cannot fixed by the good folks at Keystone, where the connectivity issue did not raise its head while there Friday on a couple of other issues (did you know your Touch, and possibly your iPad, can have slooooow issues if you leave apps running in the latest version of iOS? By double tapping the home button and holding down an app icon at the bottom, the jiggles begin, the minus sign pops up and you can immediately close all those little guys making the Touch run slowly). But then, last evening ...

TS1398 my ipad is connected to my wifi, but can't access the internet.
When I am in the same room as my wireless router, my Ipad accesses the internet correctly. When I go into a room where my Ipad and laptop couldn't reach my router, I installed an extender. Now, my laptop and my wife's Ipad can access the internet, but my Ipad can't. What should I do?

I have tried all the recommend solutions I could find in the Apple Support Community. I noticed a couple of weeks ago the iPad was acting funny about connecting to the internet via the Wi-Fi. The past two days, it wasn't able to connect to the wireless router at all. It recognizes that the wireless router network exists, it just can't join. I tried the re-boot method. I have re-set the network setting on the iPad back to factory. I even thought my old wireless router may have issues and bought a new one yesterday, and the iPad actually worked for about 24 hours and now I am back to the iPad not being able to connect to the wireless router. I have re-entered the wireless router from scratch thinking that there may have been a bug in the setup. I have removed the security settings from the wireless router to see if that may have prevented the iPad from connecting but got the same message "Unable to Join". I have cleared the cookies and data, as that was also a recommended fix, but that didn't work. I also connected the iPad to the computer so that I could check for the latest update. iPad has the latest version, so that solution didn't work. Does anyone out there got any other ideas, or are you experiencing the same problem? Is there some known issue that I am not aware of???
