TS1398 iPad WiFi "Unable to Connect"
I have an iPad 3 and every time I try to connect to a WiFi network the iPad says "Unable to join Network", It can find the WiFi networks in range but neverable to connect,, Last thing I tried I restored iPad software and still the same problem presists
Thanks for the reply, I tried it with home network and with some public networks and at some friends' places,, some are password protected and some are not, and it still won't connect to any of them
I guess this maybe a hardware issue,, but the thing is that nothing happened it wasn't dropped or anything like that, and my problem is that there are no service centers near and I thought I post the question maybe there is something that could help

Suddenly my ipad is unable to connect to our wifi. It buffers all the time?
All other devices are working normally. Is this a fault wityh my ipad or have I inadvertantly altered some setting? Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi

Wifi unable to connect when tv streams media
We just got a new Sony TV tonight that has a non wifi, LAN connection, and the Netflix application on it. As soon as I logged into Netflix on the TV, my iPad is unable to connect to wifi. I've tried disconnecting, reconnecting, renewing, and restarting router. The minute that I turned off the TV, I'm able to connect just fine again. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers,
Brianif the tv suck up all the bandwidth for the netflix connection it would mean no more internet for other devices

I am unable to connect wifi on my phone 4s since last 2 weeks... I am living in shanghai and did not have this issue since 2 weeks... iPad works fine... Please suggest some measures... Tried the on off reset settings etc. but no luck ...
In fact after updating the software to the latest version I am having more of this... Sometimes the wifi button freezes an I can't even slide it to on / off...
ThanksNoooo! Actually I too had d same prob wit my iPhone 4S. When I connect to my wifi network it won't get connected or it wil be grey scaled! I took it to d istore and since I had warranty they replaced my IPhone. It iPad charger has high volt than ur iPhone charger so when u connect wit it, there is a chance where large amount of current passes thru ur iPhone. So for sure it wil damage ur motherboard and its parts! Many said that iOS 6 or 6.0.1 or 6.1 was d reason for tis wifi prob! But apple never made its mistake wit it's software. If and only if u hav hardware prob u wil hav these sort of wifi prob Bluetooth prob! So best way s to replace ur iPhone!

IPad mini doesn't detect wifi/unable to connect
Hello,
I've had my iPad mini since March 2014. It's been working perfectly until last Friday, when it suddenly stopped connecting to my home wifi network. Upon closer inspection, I found that the iPad doesn't even detect the home network anymore. I tried all the solutions listed on here: resetting network settings, rebooting, resetting all settings - except a total restore.
At times it started detecting the network but then when I try to connect it says "unable to connect". I tried making a hotspot out of my iPhone 3G and connecting to it with my iPad - also the same thing, unable to connect. I couldn't try any other networks yet.
What should I do next? Could this be a hardware issue? PS: I've never dropped or damaged the iPad in any way, and it was just lying on the day when wifi stopped working.
Thank you.Hello karinakremlin,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
You can use this article to troubleshoot your Wi-Fi connection issues. You have said you have tried many of these steps already, but I would recommend following this article in case there is something you missed.

Ipad not connecting to wifi, "unable to connect"
So i have done everything from turning off and on, network reset, and reseting the entire ipad to factory settings. Nothing has helped. The wierd thing is once I got a airport express, my ipad would only connect to that and nothing else. Or it connects in the apple store or at my school where this is a big network. My wifi recognizes other networks but won't connect to them. This is extremely frustrating because when I want to connect at friends places it doesn't connect, it immediately says "unable to connect", we tried reseting the router, we even tried playing with the frequencies on the router, I've also tried at other places and its the same problem. I've never had a problem with apple products until now. Someone please help me because I don't what else to do. By the way this is a Ipad 3 and I have the latest software update as well.
I have the same issues!! Please apple get this fix soon! It's starting to get really frustrating

In Haiti with a new Verizon iPad 2 3G + wifi. Want to connect to hotel wifi that MBP has no problem with. I can see network in the Settings panel and it has bars, but when I click connect and type in password, it says "Unable to Connect". Can't I use wifi even tho it's CDMA in GSM land? I thought wifi was a separate option. What am I missing here?

My iPad will not automatically connect to my home wifi and I have to manually connect each time. Is there something I can do to correct this?
Update the firmware in your WiFi router. Look for an update on the manufacturer's support Web page.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router. -
