TS1398 One IPOD will choose a network for wi-fi and the other IPOD will no longer recognize the same wi-fi in my home, why?

I have an IPOD touch that will no longer connect to my wireless router at home or anywhere else. The other IPOD touch is still using the router at home. The last time the IPOD was using a wi-fi was a week ago at a school to text a message.

- Does the iPod see the network?
- Is this your problem?
iOS: Wi-Fi or Bluetooth settings grayed out or dim
- Any error messages?
- Reset the iPod . Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

If you've reached five authorizations for your iTunes Store account, there will be a button in your Store account information that will allow you to deauthorize all systems associated with that account. Log into your Store account and you should see it. You can then reauthorize the computers you're using now.

Cloud enabled software can be easily deployed on-premises but not vice versa.
this could probably be the deciding factory, for every customer : - )
no one would want to block their future...
so even for on-premise, its better to start with cloud and go for hybrid model and i believe
if this lock is there.....
then every on-premise solutions will have a cloud solution.....
want to see your argument on, any one thinking, i want only on-premise, and i will not be needing
cloud solutions in near future..... also for hybrid customers, cloud first and then on-premise would be pain area.

Water damage voids your warranty, so you only option with Apple is an out of warranty exchange. You can check what that fee would be in your country on the support pages.
Note that since Apple does not (and never has) repair iOS devices (they exchange them with factory refurbished units), there is no Apple certified training program for iOS repairs, no official parts supply and hence no such thing as an Apple Authorized repair technician or center for any iOS device. Any repairs you have done by a 3rd party shop you do on your own and you must be prepared to live with the results, whatever they are, as Apple will not accept a device that has been worked on by someone else.

I'm having a terrible time fixing this error.
We use two ipod minis on the same Windows 2000 PC, on the same user account, connecting with firewire (don't have USB2, so USB isn't an option).
For about a month everything was hunky dory, and then one day the green ipod just froze up mid-song and would only show a folder with an exclamation point. I followed all the directions on the support site - first tried to reset it, then tried to restore it, and just got a series of errors. so I called apple and since the green one was brand new, they arrange for a replacement. i send it off, and meanwhile i went to plug in my older silver ipod mini. it was working fine, then i connected it to the computer, and boom! folder with an exclamation point, and it never worked again. i've followed ALL of the instructions on the support site- reinstalling the most recent versions of the ipod updater and itunes - and it still doesn't work. windows recognizes the ipod, but itunes does not. every time i plug in the ipod, windows says it is not formatted for my PC and opens the updater. when i run the updater i get a firmware error. The only thing i can find on apple/support about that error is to make sure that I've got the latest version of everything. well, i've done that, and still nothing.
the replacement green mini is back, but I'm afraid to plug it in or i'll just have two dead ipods again.
has anyone run into this? i'm very frustrated to have $500 worth of UNUSABLE equipment sitting on my desk.

I've seen some mention here and there about ways to maybe change it so the volume buttons change tracks and holding the volume buttons changes the volume... but I don't know what's involved in that or if its even possible/recommended for a new 5th gen iPod. I think its a great device but its sadly lacking in music oriented functions and features... which is disappointing since music is why most people would bother getting one instead of some other "iDevice" :/

Given that you cannot do what you have asked for, perhaps you simply need to find another solution to your root problem.
Presumably, you want to skip to the next track because you don't want to hear the current one, and that is because...
You don't like it.
You've heard it recently and don't want to hear it now.
Simply don't want to hear it at this time.
For problem number 1. Don't put it on the iPod in the first place. (I know, obvious answer!)
For problem number 2. How about playing from a Smart Playlist (initially created in your iTunes Library) which has only songs you've not played recently?
For problem number 3. Hhhmmm! Create alternative Playlists for use in the car.
As for going back to the start of the "now playing" track.... Well, if your Playlist has only songs that you really, really want to hear, then you'll be looking forward to that rather go back to the beginning of the current song.
I'm not trying to be prescriptive, just giving you food for thought.
(They are all cheaper options than buying a car which can control the iPod from the steering wheel.)

Same problem for me.
1. Cannot connect to wifi as icloud password pop up keeps appearing.
2. tried deleting account. UNable to do so.
3. tried resetting password by logging into apple id through desktop as mentioned in one of the responses in another thread. Unfortunately the apple id to be reset is the same as being prompted by icloud and hence unable to reset the same.
Feel like breaking the **** ipad into bits. Stupid of apple to let such a bug in and not offer support !!

I have a strange, similar problem with my new iphone 3G - it will just start vibrating (mild, not like a full vibrate for an incoming call). It does this for no apparent reason and appears to last about 30 seconds or so and then stops, again for no reason. This was happening one time when a call came in (it started before the call). I answered the call and the vibration made it difficult to hear clearly until it stopped midway through the call.
Is this normal?

Decide on whether to setup as Admin or Standard User.
Switch to the New User by logging out under the Apple in the Menu Bar or use Fast User Switching

I lost my internet for four days and now my extreme will not do anything

I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, AirPort base station, and computer(s).
(OPTIONAL) While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes.
Power-up the base station; wait at least 5-10 minutes.
Power-up your computer(s).
In this basic configuration, computers connected to the base station, either by wire or wireless (as appropriate for the base station type), should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options.
