TS1398 Only apple devices are having the issue connecting to our WiFi

The two iphones in our household will not connect to WiFi. We come up with the message 'unable to connect' while the android and the computers are having no issue connecting..
I have tried turning phone off and on.
I have tried turning off WiFi
I have tried re-setting the router
I have tried re-setting my network connections..
any other suggestions?

    You can use the same appleid that you purchased the apps with on the phone for the App store. Settings> iTunes & App Store and continue to use the other id for everything else allowing you to have access to your previously purchased apps. You can then either sync or download the apps without paying for them again.
    It can be quite handy having two appleids - it can be quite useful if you can manage them correctly. One id for the store and one for imessage is good for privacy if you have the same id in use on another device.

    You may also want to reset your network settings:
    Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Note: this will delete any network related settings (saved Wi-Fi passwords, etc), it will not erase any content from your device.

    I have done that thousands of times for my security code. Doesn't work and I have called the bank and they say no problem with my card. I have also tried useing different cards all together with no luck idk what else to do? Help!

    Hi Currently having single Apple ID for my iPad, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. Can i have a separate Apple ID for my iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. At the moment since the apple id are same the contact are getting sync between the 2 phones which i don't want to be in Sync.Will having two separate apple ID solve the issue or is there any setting that i need to make..     Yes, you can certainly create a new Apple ID at appleid.apple.com (which will have to be associated with a different email address from your current ID) and then change the various settings and applications on one of your iPhones to use this new ID.

    Basically I have an iphone 4 and upgraded to v7 and most recently v7.0.2. When I am on calls the phone started to beep and vibrate and sometimes change the call to speaker. It seems to be that the screen is sometimes active whilst on calls and so my ear is actually pressing the buttons and hitting numbers or changing it to speaker phone. It has also cancelled a call a few times.
    This is extremely annoying and makes every call a worry.
    Any ideas of how to solve this problem?

    I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

    Please correct your porfile: iPhone 4 do not have IOS 6.1.4.
    The usual troubleshooting steps are, also remember to test it after every step:
    1. Restart
    2. Reset
    3. Restore from backup
    4. Restore as new.
    If no joy, make an Appointment with the Apple genius and have them evaluate

    If this multi purchase if devices is not rewarded with a larger cloud storage being available, would it then be best to have several separate cloud accounts?
    Would you lose the ability to mesh data between devices???  Of could you choose to share a smaller part of the data and yet save the rest of the device data to their own cloud?  So in other words, split a devices stored data between 2 different icloud accounts?   One community iCloud account for partial data and individual account for data that does not need to be shared with the other devices, however it needs to be backed up.  The simpler solutions would be If you have several Apple devices feeding to the same iCloud account, an amount of storage made available per device (ie: 5 units of storage free per device)
    ~ So that you are rewarded for the additional Apple devices by giving 5 more units of storage or backup space per device

    Nobody here is an Apple employee, and my Christmas Season has been great, thanks very much. Neither am I jealous, I just abhor the fact that so many people these days expect more and more for free, in addition to what they already get for free. First world problems...
    Obviously Apple do consider people with multiple devices, since the whole purpose of the service is to keep data in sync across multiple devices. Clearly, after consideration, Apple decided to give 5GB of storage for free and provide customers with the option to buy more storage if they want/need more, in line with competing services.
    Everyone has their own set of unique circumstances but does that mean everyone should be rewarded with extras for free? At what point should it be considered acceptable to actually pay for additional extras you want?
    And by the way, somebody expressing a different opinion, and discussing people's expectations is not being rude. Aren't you from the country that supposedly takes 'freedom of speech' rather seriously?

    Is the MBP properly grounded?  Are you using the three prong plug?  If not, do so and your problems may disappear.  If not, do what SwankPeRFection suggests.

  • Hello To all that are having the Wi-Fi connection problem

    My  wireless is with at&t so I called because I could not get my ipad2 to recognize the internet anyway ask to join the network and for the password for at&t wireless/dsl its the modem key just type that  in and your up and running. I hope this helps some of you.

    If you made modifications to the WiFi router like changing it's encryption from WEP  Encrytped to WPA2(AES), but kept the same name (SSID) and password, then you  need to delete all the previous network connections on each device, then assign the new one like it's brand new.
    On Mac's you go to System Preferences > Network > Airport > Advanced and click the minus sign to remove all previous connections.
    Note that using pc, our wifi has no issue at all!
    If the PC was used to change the router configuration, then it already knows.
    Another possibility is your PC is compromised and because it has the admin password to the router it's changed it and the Apple devices are no longer connecting to it.

    The nice thing about owning this overpriced POS is that Apple not only doesn't support it, but also doesn't want to hear about anything negative regarding it.  So I spoke to the so-called "support" people at Apple who successfully screwed up my contacts beyond repair.  I got a nice email from Apple asking me to rate the support I got.  I was actually civil and described the issue tactfully.  What do I get in return?  Nothing.  Not a damned thing!!  You're luck you've got me by the short hairs on a 2 year contract but I'm still tempted to throw this POS through the front window of the nearest Apple store!!  Not only will I be replacing this phone with a competitive product but I won't be buying anymore Apple crap.  I guess when you con 27 million people into believing your rhetoric and sales lies, you don't have to care whether some customers get screwed or not.  I'll be going back to Verizon and threatening legal action if they don't take this electronic dung heap back but I'm sure the teams of lawyers Apple and Verizon have on staff have insured that I have no rights in this matter and you're free to screw me anytime you please.  Sad. I used to love Apple as a company and your products.  Now you're just another Microsoft with more trendy looking junk.  I've had it with you.  If any of your executives are brave enough to talk to me, please contact me at your convenience.

    No. Apple only offers 5 GB of free iCloud storage for all your devices, no matter how many you have got. If you need more iCloud storage, purchase storage.

    Try restarting all devices including portable  iOS ones and your router.
    Check Airplay is not disabled in AppleTVs settings.
