Why my itouch is not working on wifi at someone home but internet is working on their itouch computer not yours when they help you to figure it out why the your itouch is not work on wifi

I have iOS 8.0.2 running on all my devices. Two iPhone 5s', an iPad Air, an iPhone 6 and an iphone 6+. Both iphone 6's have virtually no wifi connectivity. The older devices are working fine on the same iOS version. When performing a speed test on both iPhone 6's, the speed goes from 20Mbps to 0Mbps for a few seconds then spikes upwards of 20Mbps again, on both upload and download. When the test is complete it averages the speeds and is around 3Mbps. The other devices on the same network average around 19Mbps.  Again this is only happening on the iPhone 6 and 6+. The iPhone 5s and iPad Air running on iOS 8.0.2 have perfect connections. I have not seen a battery issue on any devices, like some people have been dealing with. I have attempted forgetting the network, powering down and through both iOS updates nothing seems to help.

  • E-M5 Mark II: Why does LR6 not support working with the full 4:3 raw image for pictures taken using a different aspect ratio?

    When importing Olympus E-M1 or E-M10 raw images which are taken in aspect ratio different to native the 4:3 MFT sensor format, LR will display the frame as crop overlay to the full image as captured by the sensor. This is very useful because at time of postprocessing one can still control the position of the frame, and modify if required.
    I was very suprised to see that for E-M5 Mark 2 this is not supported in LR6. The raw file in LR6 corresponds exactly to the frame which was chosen while shooting. Full 4:3 image information is present in the ORF raw file though, which can be easily seen eg using Olympus Viewer.
    Is there any specific reason why this useful feature has been neglected for E-M5 Mark II?

  • Why can i not get work email now after IOS 5 "Cannot Get Mail"

    It was working fine in IOS 4 but now email not working.  But i can send just not receive.

    Checking and following instructions on the "iCloud: Troubleshooting" site, I deleted my mail account in settings and reinstalled it.  This deleted all the old mails I saved and the mailboxes I created, but the connection to the server still fails.  I can still send, but not receive mails.  Is there any other way I can read my cloud mail?  From the safari website perhaps?

    I went to the apple store today and have received a *new* iPhone 5 to replace my faulty iPhone 5. my previous phone kept on either not detecting wifi, being unable to connect or continually dropping wifi signal despite being in range. replacement appears to be behaving exactly the same. I have an iPad, and two iPhone 3 that have no issues at all with the same wifi access points. can anybody offer any advice on why wifi is so poor on iPhone 5? thanks.

    I have tried resetting everything and it makes no difference. Problem is same in different locations. Apple store verified problem which is why they exchanged phone for new model but wifi is still poor and drops frequently even though the iPhone 3GS in the family work perfectly on same access points.

    Additional things to try.
    Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

    I can see my network, it connects for a few seconds and then disconnects. This started after the update.  I have tried reseting the router, the phone..............everything 100X.
    All my other devices work fine and other types of phones can connect to my network. It's a specific problem wth this phone.

    Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with Wi-Fi on your iPhone 4s.  I recommend the following steps:
    Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
    Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
    Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
    Restart your iOS device.
    Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
    Tap and Forget this Network.
    Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
    Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
    Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
    Update your device to the latest version of software.
    Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
    If the issue is still unresolved Wi-Fi disconnects or signal strength is less than expected
    Move closer to the Wi-Fi router (access point).
    Check for sources of potential interference.
    Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if signal strength improves.
    Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including
    previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords

    I just got new router and had to reset my network settings on IPad. Since then, my ipad will connect onto the main home network but will not attach to my extension booster (netgear) which is linked to the home network. It will also not attach to networks outside my home that it has previously worked with. i have reset the settings again, powered off and on again, updated to the latest IOS update, but nothing is working. Please help, as I can only use wifi in a few rooms in my house and i do not have 3G on my my ipad.

    Did you try forgetting the network and starting all over again?
    Settings>WiFi>Network Name>Tap the blue arrow>Forget this Network. Restart your iPad and then try joining again.
    Try rebooting your router. Even though everything else may be connecting to your Network, it might help with the iPad. Unplug the router for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.
    Reset Network settings on the iPad?
    Settings>>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. You will have to start all over again, Tap WiFi in the settings, find your network and enter the password.

    When i upgraded my IOS. I always find it hard to continue my search in internet. I need to turn off the wifi connection then on it after wards even though using the laptops and other mobile phone with wifi have a very good signal. Just like this message, i need to off it then turn it on again.

    Try:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

    If this is just happening on your home wifi, you might want to try unplugging your router for 15 seconds, then pluggint it back in.  Then on your devices, go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.  Note: this will erase passwords for previously joined networks so you'll have to rejoin your wifi again.

    SO, I just purchased 2 4th gen ITouch’s and a 2nd gen Ipad for my kids. All is well and fine however my second gen device is toast so I am using one of my kids older 2 gen ITouch. My kids had been complaining that they could not download anything on the 2nd gen devices but I figured they were doing something wrong, my bad. The device has Netflix that works just fine but I am finding that if I were to delete the app and did not have it backed up I would not be able to get it back from the appstore. The device has been taken care of and is in good working order,  but I am finding that Apple has chosen to no longer support IOS4.2.1 which I get. However I would expect that at a minimum I would be able to download any app that was available for the 4.2.1 os at the time the next version was released.
    Drive space it cheap and ****** off customers are expensive.
    Apparently Apple has planned obsolescence built into their business plan which I am finding pretty hard to swallow.
    I just purchased over a grand worth of new devices and I am wondering if that was wise since apparently apple will deem them obsolete in a couple of years. That great because the newer devises are great, however I have a devise that there is nothing wrong with and apple has made the choice to no longer support the devise and not allow applicable software downloads making the devise basically useless. This is not supporting your customers!
    I would hope that Apple changes their posture on this planned Obsolescence and backs its products durability with the ability to get applicable apps for the actual lifetime of the devise and not some 2 year window.
    I brought my concerns to the nearest apple store where they gave me some song and dance about how the older devise was not fast enough. This is probably true for the newer apps but I think if this was a limitation then ITunes should make the newest version of the app at the time of the app is available for the devise.
    Like I said drive space is cheap and this is like a row in some database.
    I am wondering if I will continue to buy apple products.
