my i phone 4s has a greyish on/off wifi button. tried everything and still not working, i bought the phone 9 months ago and no tech support in egypt for the i phone, what should i do ?????

I told the genius bar what happened, and I already did the so called "steps" that apple reccommended on the site, which was reset network settings, restore iPhone. The genius bar gave me a replacement phone, so I was expecting that the problem would be over, but it isn't. It seems that it's iOS 6.1.3 which is the case of most public complaints on apple iPhone products. Not even 3 weeks after I got the phone replaced, it is doing it again, so I suspect I'm just going to get a replacement again? Unfortunately I only have until 5th of july 2013 until my 1 year warranty is up. After that, any issue I have, I have to purchase apple care. People are expecting this problem to be fixed but I don't see it being solved any time soon. This is horrible and really low, because I have been a good customer, when I talk to the people at the genius bar, I show the utmost respect I can to them for the work they put into their job, but somewhere there is a problem where something has gone wrong. Because of that, people that only have a one year warranty (which i received because I purchased my apple iPhone at an Optus outlet, once that one year warranty is up, I have to pay for a problem that isn't even my fault? That isn't how it should work, you should be fixing this problem so people can be happy customers and leave happy. Obviously you don't all know how to do your jobs, because if you did, we wouldn't have this problem. I would like a replacement phone, ONCE AGAIN. If this problem occurs again, I will simply stop buying your products, and lose faith in your company, your's sincerely, Jack Maher.

My iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPad 2 are running 6.1.3 with no such problem and the same with the overwhelming majority of iOS devices running 6.1.3.

Same here.... No fix. Replacing is the option apparently and if you're out of warranty, you're SOL. That was as per the "Genius" at Apple.

TS1559 I have two problems but since they both started at the same time I'm guessing that they are related. My WiFi on/off button is greyed out AND my iCloud Drive (under "Settings") has been "Upgrading" with that spinning download symbol for 2 wks now! N

I cant be positive but I think this started when my iPhone did an automatic software update. I couldn't get any WiFi connection because when I go to turn it back on the iPhone wont let me and Greys out my WiFi on/off button.
But also I think something happened to my iCloud connect as well because next to my iCloud Drive under "Settings" it has that spinning symbol that usually denotes waiting for something to finish downloading. But this time it never stopped! Its been spinning saying "iCloud is Upgrading" for 2 weeks now! I have tried the on/off iPhone restart or reset, and I've even put my iPhone into "Recovery Mode" as a last resort. but when iTunes was finished "Restoring" it, nothing had changed; Still Greyed out WiFi button and iCloud is still "Upgrading"! I am a bit confused with your statement -

if ((p_select_list is not null) and (p_text_field is not null)) then
return true;returning the result TRUE when both fields are not null
And this statement -
elsif ((p_select_list is null) and (p_text_field is null)) then
return true;returning the result TRUE again when both fields are null. If you see closely basically is not validating becoz it returning true whatever the input is.
I do not know what you want to use the second statement when you have else statement at the end. It will return false if one or both fields are null unless you want to validate either text field.

WiFi ON/OFF button Doen't Work, the IPod doesn't show the on/off button in the Settings- General - WiFi

After My IPod Touch 4th Geneartion was broken I had to fix the screen, which cost me a lot, after a perfect restore through the ITunes I went to connect to my IPod to the WiFi network then the WiFi ON/OFF button Doen't Work, the IPod doesn't show the on/off button in the Settings-> General -> WiFi.
And another problem I encountered during this operation was that the Games I downloaded through the ITunes doesn't work, when I click on the icon ( Game Icon) it starts an then closes in a few seconds

Hi guys, I've recently bought this notebook from Compaq ( Cq60-207el), everything work fine except the Wireless On/off button that is always turned off, even if the card is working. The problem is that the only way to turn off the wireless is manually from Arch.

Problmes with wifi turn off with disable greyish in window 8.1 pro 9600

I updated window 8 to window 8.1 pro build 9600 version.
I am getting a problem with WIFI turn off disable grayish color which cannot be enabled.
WIFI adapter is installed and working properly.
Plz suggest what will be the fix of this issue.

Hi,
Did you mean the Adapter is greyed out and we cannot click to turn on it? Is there a wifi switch on your laptop? If so, please turn on it first.
Also please try the network troubleshooter to see if the issue can be fixed:
1) Right Click network icon in taskbar and select "open network and sharing center"
2) Highlight wifi connection then at top click "Diagnose this connection"
The troubleshooter will discover that the WiFi connection is turned off and offer a "Apply fix" option click that and windows will enable the wifi connection.
To make sure the driver for Network adapter is the right one, please go to manufacturer’s website to see if there is the one compatible with Windows 8.1.
If not, we can try to install the one applied to Windows 8 in compatible mode to see what’s going on.
Since such issue can be caused by driver bug, please also contact the manufacturer to see if they can provide more information about this issue.

I recently had to change out my I Phone 5 because the on off button was broken. My phone is backed up with I Cloud but I noticed that all my pictures did not come back. I do have a lot of pictures. Does any one have ANY INFO on how long it takes?

Does anyone know how I can get all my pictures back on my I Phone whaich has been backed up by I Cloud? My I Phone 5 has been replaced because of a broken on off button. Only some of my pictures have come through. I'm not sure if it takes more time or not.

Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.

Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If using Photo stream, but sure to move the received photos to a permanent album. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure".

Wifi On/Off button wont toggle

So, my wifi hasnt worked since I got my new iPhone 5 and I didnt mind it until my data started going over the limit and I have been forced to use 3g instead of 4g LTE. The problem is when I go into the wifi menu in settings the box that your normally click for on/off is grey and you cant toggle it at all. Any ideas on fixes?

Make an appointment at an Apple store. Your phone has a one-year hardware warranty...take advantage of it. Backup your phone before you go...Apple doesn't fix iPhones, they replace them. If you backup to iCloud, the genius bar will restore your backup to your replacement phone.

TS1398 Wifi turns off when I get away from router

I've had an Iphone for about 2 1/2 years now. Working real good until recently... it will only recognized a wi-fi connection when I'm close to any router. As soon as I walk away, back to 3G, and that happens everywhere there is a wi-fi.
I need your help, please!

If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other WiFi networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to see if that corrects the problem. If not, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.
