I have the same issue - and I've tried everything listed in these forums and more. Nothing has worked - and I've had the phone less than 24 hours.
I took it to an Apple store to see a Genius this afternoon. They don't say what is wrong, but offered to replace the phone however BEWARE - when they say they will replace it, they often mean with a refurbished device, they will not replace it with a new device. Because I bought mine from a different retailer, even though it is an Apple device failed less than 24 hours out of the box, Apple will not give me a new phone - they acknowledged that it is a manufacturing defect, and couldn't understand why I was not satisfied with receiving a refurbished device. This seems ridiculous to me - I'm a long-time, repeat customer - but that doesn't appear to matter. I've heard great things about Apple customer service, now that I've needed it, I've found it isn't so great after all.
I got in touch with the retailer from whom I purchase the phone - they were shocked that Apple would not replace it - especially since I have Apple Care. They are now trying to get it worked out and obtain a new phone for me.

Using the same Ethernet cable that is used to connect the modem to the AirPort Extreme, disconnect the Ethernet cable from the AirPort Extreme and connect it directly to your Mac as a test for 4-6 hours.
Be sure to power off the modem for 5-10 minutes when you do this, so that it will associate with the new device that it "sees".
Does the connection drop when you connect this way? If yes, then replace the Ethernet cable and run the test again for 4-6 hours.
If the connection still drops, you likely have a defective modem or a line problem on the cable service....despite what the cable company might say.
If the connection remains solid when you run the "test", then you know that the modem and Ethernet cable are working correctly.
If you have performed a factory default reset on the AirPort Extreme a few times, and connection still drops, then you should take the AirPort to an Apple Store....if you have one near you..... to let them take a look, or contact Apple Support directly.

I have held off updated my iPhone 4s with the 6.0.1 but having problems connecting to wifi I thought maybe being out of date was the problem.
Having done the update the wifi option is now greyed out and cannot be selected at all. I have rebooted, forgotten networks and turned on and off so many times. There is nothing wrong with the wifi at home as other devices connect no problem. What can I do?I'll repeat the Apple support pages linked in the previous post:

Help! Upload 8.1 on my iPad 2 and now I can't get any wifi nor can I reset any settings. When I try to go on my iCloud it is all greyed out and no longer recognizes my password.
I also can't turn off "Find my iPad" on iTunes in order to do a restore.Try a reset first. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen. It takes about 10 seconds. After the iPad restarts, see if you can get into your settings.

Paper settings in PSCC pare greyed out and cannot be selected.

I'm running OS 10.10.2 and PhotoshopCC. In the printer settings when printing directly out of photoshop (I've updated Epson Stylus Photo R2000 driver today) most of the paper settings are greyed out and cannot be selected. I know wI'm doing something wrong, but cannot figure out ho two select a specialty paper setting... its there just not selectable....
I also watched the actual Epson Driver load all of the unique settings....

I am trying to upload a file to an accounting website for work. My computer will not allow me to select any type of file, they are all greyed out.
Try using a different browser. If it works, then the problem is most likely Safari. If the other browser doesn't work, perhaps it is the web site.

I am having trouble looking at video podcasts on my ipod touch. they are all greyed out. I have tried removing them and resyncing. this did not work. any ideas?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all media and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Sync Apps tab all greyed out...
In iTunes 10 Apps tab, none of the options can be selected, they are all greyed out. The Sync Apps box is ticked but greyed out and unclickable.
I restored my my iPhone 3G earier today because I had my iPhone replaced at the Apple Store. Since then, every time I connect my iphone to iTunes this occurs, all the applications I already have appear in the box like normal but in grey; I cannot tick or select them... All the other sync functions work perfectly (eg. music, photos, podcasts etc...).
How can I fix this? I tried resetting my iPhone, restarting the computer and turning off restrictions and but all to no avail.This has happened to me, too. The app icons won't load in the Synch Apps tab. They're all the same, gray, generic icon. The check boxes are really stubborn. I finally got a check mark to appear in a check box, but couldn't un-check it.
Off topic:
While trying to check and un-check an App on that Synch Apps list, I discovered that if you double-click on one of the app names in that list, the large image of the iPhone page, will change to show you where on your phone, that app is located... Handy if it's in a folder somewhere. Also found out that you can drag an app icon from your list of apps (the grid view of all of your purchased apps, accessible in the sidebar) to the name of your connected iPhone (listed in the iTunes sidebar) that dragged app will install on the iPhone... -
I bought apple iPad on this July , it's been only two months but now I'm getting a problem like no wifi it's greyed out sometimes and showing no wifi... Please help I'm frustrated on this , did they provided me a fault device ??

Where do I change the settings if this is the problemOne thing to try is to delete the iMovie Preferences. It is located:
Mac HD > Users > (your home folder) > Library > Preferences > com.apple.iMovieApp.plist
Move that file to the trash, restart iMovie and see if the Share Menu looks any different than before. Also make sure you have your Project open in the Project Browser (the top half of the iMovie Application window).
Failing that, take moment to run Disk Utiltiy located under Applications > Utilities. Specifically run Repair Disk Permissions. Most of this is a form of housekeeping to get out of the way before trying more serious steps to fix the problem. Also try shutting down the mac, waiting 30 secs then start up again. Any of these are simple quick fixes that may re-enable the share menu. -
Garage Band Loops are all greyed out,
There are no drum loops at all on my garage band. They are all "greyed" out. This is a new mac and came with leopard which I installed myself. Could it be that the install didn't go correctly and needs to be redone or is this something additional I have to purchase?

Hi - just using the new iMovie for the first time - apparently there should be a sidebar containing tools like "Content Library". Not on mine - even in Window view, Content Library features like text etc are all greyed out - obviously it's me - anyone help please?

I just reset my apple ID password and now all the imap folders in Apple Mail are greyed out. I can see the contents, but I don't get whay the folders are all greyed out. Can anyone help? Sorry for the long title on this message...
Assuming this is an iCloud mail account, sign out of iCloud in its preference pane, then sign back in with the new password.
