TS1398 wifi verbinding

Ik heb een netgear wifi extender gekocht en aangesloten op mijn laptop werkt het goed maar op mijn i-pad lukt het niet die geeft de melding kan geen verbinding maken wat doe ik fout?

If you can't see any WiFi networks, then I think your step is to make an appointment with the Genius Bar at the closest Apple store or if you don't have an Apple store near you go to the following link:

After I updated the software, the wi-fi has stopped working. I have already restored the system but the problem remains. Wifi is working fine otherwise.

  • TS1398 WiFi access gone

Suddenly my iPhone does not connect to the internet.
    I tried everything possible
When I tried re-entering my Wifi details I get a message: Could not scann for wirelss networks

    Hello there, JRizk.
It seems you were referred to us from the article that provides the best troubleshooting options for the issue you're describing:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
    Review these steps first:
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
    Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
    Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
If the issue persists, then review these steps next:
Unable to locate a Wi-Fi network
Verify that the network is available by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi and choosing from the available networks.Note: It may take a few seconds for the Wi-Fi network name to appear.
Move closer to your wireless router (access point) and attempt to locate the Wi-Fi network.
If you do not see the network you would like to join, you may be attempting to connect to a hidden network. Learn how to join a hidden network.
Supported Wi-Fi configurations vary by iOS device model. Find out which standards your device supports3.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
    recently used Bluetooth accessories
    VPN and APN settings
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • TS1398 Wifi stop afterfew seconds

    Hey there!
I tried resetting the settings, put on iTunes and blablabla but still my wifi is acting very weird!
When I start the device, wifi appears and it connects no problem for 20-30 seconds.
Then it disappears... and never come back UNTIL I close the device, wait a little,
And REOPEN it again. (I mean with the home or power button)
I am writting with my old one right now, on the same lan, so I am suspecting an over heating problem, could that be??
    Thanks

    Hello Gram
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. If you are having issues with the Wi-Fi connection on your iPhone, the following article will give some troubleshooting steps for a wide variety of Wi-Fi issues.
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1398
If you are using a public or commercial network that requires a login or subscription, see this article for more information.
Verify that you are selecting the correct network if you are in a location with multiple Wi-Fi networks.
Verify that the Wi-Fi network settings are correct. You can view and configure Wi-Fi settings using the following steps:
    Tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
Locate the Wi-Fi network you are currently using and tap .
If you've verified that your settings are correct and the issue persists, try the following:
Tap "Forget this Network" to reset settings for this Wi-Fi network, including the password. Then try connecting to the network again.
Note: This can be useful if you identify a network issue and want to prevent the device from automatically using this network in the future.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings, including passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Note: If the Wi-Fi network uses MAC address filtering, you will need to add the MAC address to the access list for the Wi-Fi router. The MAC address for your device is listed as the Wi-Fi address in Settings > General > About.
    Regards,
    -Norm G.

  • TS1398 Wifi slow after iOS 8 upgrade

Since upgrading to iOS 8 the wifi connection from both my iPad Air and iPhone 5 is so slow that watching video or streaming is not possible and many web pages take ages to load. I've rebooted and reset both devices and 2 different routers that are working well with other devices (including apple products running on earlier iOS version.) Is the only solution to revert to iOS 7 until the issues are fixed?

    Thanks Brian,

this specifically started when I upgraded to 8.0.2 and from the look of the communities and Twitter, it's not just me.

  • TS1398 WiFi not even on or able to be selected in Settings

I have a few devices connect in my household for Wifi.  I even have two identical iPhones that were working perfectly until a few days ago.  One that has no problems and then mine that has a few.  I am unable now to connected to my home Wifi.  Opening up Settings, the Wi-Fi option is greyed out and is unable to be selected.  It states No Wi-Fi.  I've tried other common quick fixes and nothing seems to work.  Rebooting phone, Resetting Network settings, Resetting All Settings, Turning on and off Airplane Mode, going into Cellular Data and turning it On and Off, nothing seems to work.  Any other users having the same problem?  Any suggestions?

  • TS1398 wifi connected but no internet in iphone5!

    Hi,
In my iPhnoe5 i'm already connected to wifi, but the wireless icon doesnt appear on the top of the screen eithre cannot access the internet!
I tried every solution in the troubleshooting section but no success.
    thanks,

If you have tried every solution you must have a hardware problem. As the phone is in warranty take it to an Apple store for replacement.
Before you do that, and if the problem is only with your home network and the phone works on other WiFi networks, you might want to try rebooting your router by removing all power from it for 15 seconds or so. And if that doesn't resolve it try changing channels on the router. And check the router's settings for MAC filtering. If it is enabled your phone's WiFi address must be listed on the "allowed" settings. Also check if your router has a limit to the number of devices that can connect simultaneously.
The way to identify router issues: After attempting to connect go to Settings/WiFi and tap the ">" to the right of the network name. If the IP address begins 169.254 this means that your router is not responding to the phone, so you need to troubleshoot the router (even if other devices connect and work).

  • TS1398 Wifi turns off when I get away from router

    Hi all,
I've had an Iphone for about 2 1/2 years now. Working real good until recently... it will only recognized a wi-fi connection when I'm close to any router. As soon as I walk away, back to 3G, and that happens everywhere there is a wi-fi.
    I need your help, please!

If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other WiFi networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to see if that corrects the problem. If not, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.
